Hello, I'm sorry this is my first time on here! Please help give some of your best advice!!
I am currently in 10th grade and my school is pushing for us to know what we want to do for the rest of our lives. This has taken me by surprise and I am not quite sure! I have a deep interest in foreign languages and have been learning French in school for three years now. I do not, unfortunately, have any interest in French but I do enjoy the way Thai sounds and the script is so pretty (though slightly intimidating). I would love to go to college to study business and language. I believe that dedicating myself to one language would be most helpful and once I concentrate on one thing - I can accomplish/understand/comprehend concepts quickly. For some reason, I have a random interest in Thailand. This all seems very unrealistic but I was wondering if it was possible to be a part of tourism in Thailand. Though, I did hear that there is not much need for English speakers in Thailand. While tourism is quite random, I have always enjoyed learning history and teaching others in exciting ways. To explore and learn would be quite a joy for me. Are there any other jobs in Thailand that support foreign expats? I do not intend on accumulating lots of wealth - I only want to live happily and take life slowly. Learning Thai would be difficult to learn at college because they are far away and are a bit more expensive. I am scared that my parents will also not take me seriously. Two colleges near us offer Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. Should I be looking for another language that would help me be more successful/more useful? I am aware that each of these languages is extremely difficult to learn and even more difficult to get to a professional level. Next year, two of my family members (who are proficient in Japanese) will be bringing me to Japan and possibly, in the summer, I may be able to go on one of CIEE's summer programs (which would likely be to Korea and Taiwan for diplomacy). I am extremely nervous about making any decision since I have never had a specific passion in my life so far. I do get wonderful grades in school and am constantly striving to give it my all. My high school is slowly turning into a college and traditional high school classes are being replaced with IB programs (which is a whole other entity of confusion/worry/etc.). While this is wonderful, this month I am being forced to plan the rest of my two years and the importance of knowing what I want to do is imminent.

¿Crees que sería posible conseguir un trabajo así para un colegio en Uruguay?
