I got my citizenship certificate on Jan 26th and thought I will share my journey here.
We were in US since 2010, Indians by origin. Got tired waiting for green card and when things got worse after Nov 2016 started exploring other options.
Tried Canada first as it was easy to move but many others had the same idea and the fact that we only held Bachelor's degrees and both of us were older than 30 worked against us.
We started looking at Australia in Nov 2018 and this is the timeline:
- Gave PTE im Nov 2018
- Applied to ACS in Dec 2018 and got it in Jan 2019
- Put in application for 189 and NSW 190 in end of Jan 2019. Had 80 points
- Got invite for both 189 and 190 on Feb 10 2019
- Submitted all docs for 189 on Feb 26 2019 as we had everything ready by then
- Gave medical tests inApril 2019
- Got approval on July 3, 2019
- Moved to Australia in March 2020. Had to prepone the trip because of covid, landed in Sydney on March 25, 2020.
- Did 15 days of quarantine, then drove all day to Brisbane and did another 15 days of quarantine there.
- Applied for citizenship on March 25, 2024.
- Got notification for test in May and wrote it in June.
- Got citizenship approval in Oct
- Had the ceremony on Jan26, 2025.

 | I've often read that Soft Summers shouldn't use bronzer because most bronzers are too warm, but I've also read that sometimes you can find a blush that works as a bronzer. I'm interested in trying this technique, but I'm not sure exactly what type of blush could give me a sunkissed vibe. Would this work? Or do I need something even more taupe-y and less rosey? Whenever my WireGuard VPN experiences heavy inbound traffic, my entire home network slows to a crawl—high latency, packet loss, and sluggish performance across all devices, even those not using the VPN. I've tested two different VPN providers and adjusted MTU settings, but nothing seems to help. The issue doesn't happen with OpenVPN, but it has slow download speeds, reaching only 20-30% of my available bandwidth.
With WireGuard, downloads start at full speed, easily saturating my 1Gbps connection, but after a while, everything drops—connections drop, websites stop loading, and my network becomes completely unresponsive. Even after disconnecting from the VPN, my router takes 3-5 minutes to restore internet access. I’m out of ideas please help.

I got a speeding ticket in the Los Banos, CA area going 94 in a 65. The total came out to be more than $600 since the officer said my tint is barely legal and gave me a citation for that too. In a financial position, I’m undergoing some hardships. I was told that I can write a mitigation letter to the judge asking for a reduction in the fine and no points to be put on my license since that will increase insurance.
I was also told that I have a slim chance to contest the ticket since the officer put the wrong model of my car. However the make and license plate was accurately put.
If I was to write a mitigation letter, this is what I have so far: I am writing to respectfully request your consideration for a reduction of the fine and the elimination of points being added to my license in relation to the speeding ticket I received on {date}. I fully acknowledge my mistake and take full responsibility for my actions. However, I am hoping that you might consider my financial situation and personal circumstances when reviewing my case.
I am a first-generation college student supporting myself financially. As such, I am facing some financial challenges. The cost of my education, along with my basic expenses, leaves me with little room to cover this fine. Adding points to my license would also increase my insurance rates, placing an additional challenge on me that I simply cannot afford.
This is my first offense, and I deeply regret the incident and understand the importance of adhering to traffic laws. I assure you that this was an isolated mistake, and I have learned from it. I am committed to being a safer and more cautious driver going forward.
Given my financial hardship, I kindly ask for your leniency in reducing the fine and allowing me to avoid having points added to my license. This would significantly help me with my situation without the added stress of financial hardship.

Hello all, just looking some new friends! My hobbies include gaming, games such as destiny 2, baldurs gate 3, crusader kings 3, helldivers 2 and many more! I love nature and animals, I have a dog and a cat and often enough when I have the time I take a nice little walk in a local park!
