So I am an RN at a convent for retired nuns. I like to connect with the sisters at meal times because it allows me to assess how they are doing and if they need anything health wise. So I was feeding this 90 year old confused little nun last year. She normally called out for her mom and her brother in distress all the time because she thought she was a little girl which is sometimes an unfortunate symptom of her dementia, so I always just tried my best to connect with her and make sure she knew I was there but it was really hard because she just is wasn’t herself anymore. (Dementia sucks) But one night she seemed even more upset than normal she kept shaking her head saying “no! NO!” And then she says to everyone at the table (other nuns, myself, and another nurse) “I don’t want to get married!” Everyone at the table laughed a little and reassured her that she was a nun for more than 75 years and she didn’t have to get married. She just kept shaking her head and was very serious staring at her dinner plate, like she was having these visions or flashbacks or something. And I was just struck with this thought, my gosh she is really scared about getting married…
So everyone left the table and she was just looking down at her plate, not eating because she was too preoccupied in thought and said to me very seriously and very matter-of-factly “you’re going to have trouble.” And my heart broke in that moment because she looked so serious and scared and heartbroken. And I asked her, “I will have trouble if what, sister?” And she scoffed at me and looked into my eyes like it was obvious “you will have trouble if you get married.”
At that time I had been with my boyfriend for probably 9 months and the thought of marriage hadn’t crossed my mind too much.
Now we’ve been together longer and the thoughts have started to cross my mind and his as well as her ominous warning. I know 1 Corinthians 7:28 says something similar to this. Marriage is hard work, it won’t be easy, but I think this is the Lords calling on my life.
Does anyone have any encouragement? I’m feeling scared of what the future could hold. I know this season should be a joyful one and it is, but it’s also scary trusting that someone will take care of you, will protect you, and will do you good.

I have one LLC under my name that I operate alone and I take in income through it during the year
My partner has the same LLC under his name and takes in income during the year
Together we have another LLC that we own and operate together, 50/50 spit. This is a marketing content creation and marketing business.
We have paid taxes for our own independent LLC last year and now this year will be the first year paying with the joint company involved.
I understand that in the state of CT, partnership LLC's are a passthrough entity to the individual owners income taxes.
My questions are this:
- We keep everything tracked within Waves free accounting software. Should we feel comfortable filing the Form CT-1065 ourselves, or would you recommend hiring a CPA.
- If we were to hire a CPA, is there any online websites or businesses that offer credible online CPA advisory and tax help that is trustworthy and work with small business owners?
- Finally, is there any general tax advice that would benefit us to know that you can think of based off our current filing situation.

Due to some last-minute circumstances, i had to pass the TOEFL with only five days of preparation. Since my strategy turned out to be pretty efficient, I thought I’d share it for anyone in a similar situation! This guide is mostly for people who have okay to decent English (or grew up chronically online) because improving language proficiency itself takes way longer than five days.
Day 1: I started by understanding the test format=> I spent about an hour watching random videos of people sharing their experiences. this helped me get familiar with the test and stop over-glorifying it in my head. Then, i jumped straight into Speaking practice: 1.Noted down the expectations for each task to structure my responses better. 2.Watched introductory videos explaining each task and created personalized templates (highly recommend making your own using words you’re comfortable with). 3.Practiced nonstop for 6–8 hours. For the Independent Speaking Task, I practiced strictly with the TST Prep 100 Topic Practice: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AYhjQSfl1RPghD2INFXrk-SRdsDIZMq0/view?usp=drivesdk For other speaking tasks, I used this playlist from Test Succeed, which turned out to be pretty close to the real thing: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIi5X8tybGdAEl07tx8zUALwG9W-PIMYc&si=BwEBOLu2anyuW2Z9
How i evaluated myself: •Recorded my responses •Used ChatGPT: copied my transcript, pasted it, and asked ChatGPT to evaluate it based on ETS scoring & TST Prep criteria (I had already given ChatGPT the guidelines beforehand). •Elsa Speech Analyzer (Free Version): u get 30 minutes of analysis on pronunciation, fluency, grammar, and vocabulary. it was super helpful!
Day 2: •Continued intense speaking practice until i felt comfortable. •Dedicated the last hour to introducing myself to writing, watching tons of introductory videos.
Day 3: •Prepared templates for writing and started practicing. For the Integrated Writing Task, i used this playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcDxcYKNy4suCOaOXXlS7Sm6D56OkF8Qw&si=k22449boz-YZbzyR For the Academic Discussion Task, i timed myself and used this resource: https://www.toeflresources.com/toefl-writing-sample-questions-and-answers-discussion-board-questions/ Writing Tips: •Don’t rely too much on templates=>use them as a guide, but add your own touch instead of repeating generic phrases. •Academic Discussion Task: i tend to write a lot (exceeding 200 words), and i always try to introduce a completely new opinion not mentioned before while acknowledging others’ perspectives. •Integrated Writing Task: Noted keywords from the reading in the 3 minutes they give. then turned then into sentences while typing instead of looking back at the text to avoid copying. !! Focused more on the lecture since it carries more weight. during this day, i also did simultaneous practice exercises for writing & speaking
Day 4: •i watched introductory reading videos. •Noted down the different reading question types with examples and explanations. •Watched 2–3 GregMat videos doing some reading practices to learn some strategies. •Practiced reading again with TST Prep practices for each question type=>writing down tips whenever I noticed a pattern in the correct answers. this helped to detect weaknesses, for exp i struggled with inference questions, so i hyperfocused on those. •Used TestReady reading exercises. For Listening, •i also 2 GregMat videos, noted down tricks, and jumped straight into practice in testready
Day 5: This was my practice test day. Unfortunately, i couldn’t do much since most tests were paid, but i still managed: •TestGlider Coconut Free Test → Very challenging, but gave valuable feedback (I barely got 97 on it). •TestReady Free Sample Test → Timed myself. After that, I rested for the rest of the day to avoid burnout because TOEFL requires energy and endurance. Finally the youtube channels i recommend for introductory videos/trying to familiarize yourself with a particular section: -Tst prep -toefl with juva -sybil wang -linguamarina Final Thoughts: This method worked insanely well despite the time constraint. If you’re in a similar last-minute situation, focus on understanding the test, making structured responses, and practicing efficiently instead of just cramming random material. Good luck!
