 | I was running around doing tasks and some girl had 2 coloured haetaes (one was pink and one was more of a cream and white). And about 10 minutes later in game she had copied my colouring for my haetaes (which isn’t a problem! I love inspiring people with my coloured pets!!) but every time she saw me and realised I’d seen she’d copied me she kept running away from me. I tried telling her it was okay and asked if she liked the idea but she ended up leaving, clearly embarrassed she’d taken my idea (which again, everyone is welcome too!) I feel bad for finding it amusing and I’m kinda hoping she’s here on this sub so I can say “ITS OKAY! I don’t mind that you’ve taken inspiration from this! I work as a teachers assistant in elementary schools for special education. I’m the only Asian staff member working in school and today a kid walked by me and said “Ching Chong” to me. I pretended I didn’t hear anything because I did not know how to react. This kid is also in a Special Ed Class and we’ve been in the same classroom before, he was mumbling something while looking at me and I thought he needed help so I approached him and asked if he needed help or if he was talking to me. He responded saying that he was talking to the girl next to me and kept looking at us for the whole time I was there. It’s giving me flashbacks of being bullied when I was in middle school and it didn’t feel too good. I am not a professional so I don’t know what I should do in this situation. I’m very upset about it but I feel like getting upset because of a special ed student would look very immature (I’m 19) does anyone have suggestions?

The first game I played was the investigations collection, so I obviously knew about that before playing the Phoenix Wright trilogy. As I was playing rise from the ashes, I saw dialogue that might have been referenced in investigations. In the criminal affairs dept there's a character at the side of the screen writing a novel, and they write "I know! The killer used a cassette tape! What a crafty trick! That gunshot was a fake!"
In Turnabout Reminiscence, this method is used almost exactly. (It wasn't exactly a cassette tape, but it's still close enough.) Is this just a coincidence, or am I on to something?

I got no problems with Lyle or tomar, it's just that when they are in videos, they mostly talk about the game itself and not about something crazy or weird but when they talk about something else they don't have any interesting things to say.
The three of them are the straight man, they don't have as many quirky or weird things to say.
Lyle is knuckles, tomar is Silver, and chris is Biggs the cat. Corey is shadow, Adam is tails, and Dave is Sonic.

2025.01.31 02:52 theoldcrow5179 Just finished the base game last night and wanted to discuss my thoughts
TLDR: A great game that is less than the sum of its parts.
For me, the primary focus of any game I play, the thing that I judge above all else, is the quality of the story- how do the characters develop, how is the theme explored. I'll come back to this.
First I will say that this game might be one of the most densely packed with incredible moments and set pieces. The ashtray maze and the mirror dimension were two particular highlights for me. The thing that compelled me more than anything to continue with the game was the anticipation at finding out what crazy things I would see next. The sheer amount of creativity put into the game is fantastic, and I hope we get to see a sequel where the developers can take it even further. This goes doubly for the amazing worldbuilding, and the aesthetic too- Sam Lake is credited as the games creative director and I love the work he's done making the world feel rich and authentic.
Playing the game to see the next cool area, or the next crazy setpiece however, is not the same as playing the game to be engaged in the story, and without a strong narrative to tie it together, the game effectively becomes just a giant toy box. This is where I felt disappointingly let down. I so wanted to write a whole section here on how Jesse's character, how her writing felt incredibly bland and how I felt she lacked any kind of meaningful personal development, how her relationship with her brother felt insufficiently resolved, but I think if you've played the game already you probably know what I'm talking about. Apart from the uninteresting character writing, my main other gripe is that the story wraps up way too fast at the end. The bait and switch ending was great, but the ending proper leaves a lot of threads unresolved, which makes me think that either the writers were forced to cut some parts out, or they weren't really sure where the story was meant to be going so they just tied it up quickly at the end.
I'd like to say more but to summarise, I thought the game was made up of some amazing individual set pieces that, by themselves, were incredible to play through. Putting it all together though, the overall story was a let down and made me feel like the game was less than the sum of its parts.

Any recommendations on a good fund to put my contributions in for a 12 yr regular city carrier. I’ve had my head in the clouds when it comes to all this and never have sought out advice. I put 5 percent in. And I think I’m in the safest fund. Which I don’t wanna think about tbh. I’m really bad w financial stuff but apparently they put you in the safest fund when you make regular and I don’t know if that counts as lifecycle as well. I keep reading about C fund is good bet or S but like I said tbh until now I haven’t taken any steps to even change being in the safest fund. I know I should find an advisor but any advice would be helpful. Or anyone who was in the same boat as me back then. I know nothing about the market and don’t look into at all, so maybe a good fund or two to just put it in and forget it. I probably won’t be looking to move it around a lot. I really am kicking myself. I’ve had 11 yrs to figure this sh*t out.

Me and my girlfriend are planning to take a road trip from Cairns to Perth along the coast during a 4 month holiday. Our plan was to buy a car in cairns and then sell it in Perth, from where we will fly home again. We will primarily stay at Airbnbs but also a night or two in the car and at hotels. I can’t seem to get my head around the laws around buying a car and having an adress to register it at.
Is it not possible to own a car in Australia if you do not have a physical address? I mean, there must have been others who have traveled to Australia for a road trip? It this just for the cause of receiving mail and if so couldn’t that just be done online?
