2025.01.31 02:51 auto556 Securities Fraud Allegations Against Arete Advisors Stun the Financial Sector
Unveiling the Complexity of Major Fraud Allegations in the Financial Sector In January 2025, the financial industry faced a severe shockwave as the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) brought to light grave allegations against two prominent investment professionals, Joey Miller and Jeffrey Larson. This case represents a pivotal moment in understanding the intricate layers of security and trust within the financial sector, especially for investors.
The Core of the SEC Allegations Joey Miller and Jeffrey Larson were accused of orchestrating a sophisticated fraud scheme that misled investors on multiple fronts. The SEC's complaint details how these investment professionals allegedly engaged in a pattern of falsifying returns to attract new clients while misappropriating funds from existing portfolios. This deceit not only breached ethical standards but also severely violated federal securities laws designed to protect investor interests.
Investors were reportedly drawn in by promises of unusually high returns, and funds were shuffled in a Ponzi-like structure. This involved using new investors' capital to pay returns to earlier investors, creating an illusion of profitability while depleting the actual asset base.
The Fallout and Investor Repercussions The allegations have not only stained the personal reputations of Miller and Larson but have also cast a long shadow over the integrity of investment advisory practices. Clients and the broader investment community demand transparency and trust, foundations that were severely undermined in this scenario.
Many investors are now grappling with potential financial losses and the daunting task of recovery. It underscores the importance of meticulous due diligence and the need for vigilance in professional engagements. For a detailed understanding of the case and its impact on the industry, you might find the analysis at Arete Advisors Securities Fraud Allegations Shock Financial Industry enlightening.
Legal Recourse and Recovery of Investment Losses In light of such distressing developments, it's crucial for aggrieved investors to seek proficient legal assistance. Haselkorn & Thibaut, P.A., a national law firm with a formidable track record of championing investor rights, offers a robust recourse for victims. The firm's specialization in investor-only advocacy, combined with a remarkable 95% success rate, positions it uniquely to aid in the recovery of investment losses.
Victims of the alleged fraud perpetrated by Miller and Larson are encouraged to reclaim control of their financial destinies. By contacting Haselkorn & Thibaut, P.A. at 1 (888) 784-3315 or visiting InvestmentFraudLawyers.com, investors can schedule a free consultation to explore their recovery options. Remember, with Haselkorn & Thibaut, P.A., there is no recovery fee unless you recover your investment losses.
The Larger Implication for the Investment Community This scandal serves as a critical reminder of the risks inherent in the investment landscape. The financial community must continue to advocate for stringent regulatory compliance and foster an environment where such deceit is swiftly detected and addressed.
The Miller and Larson case is not just about two individuals; it is a stark warning about complacency and the continual need for vigilance and stringent oversight in investment practices. Investors must stay informed and proactive in safeguarding their investments against such malpractices.
In conclusion, while the SEC's allegations against Joey Miller and Jeffrey Larson are a jolt to the system, they also reinforce the crucial need for integrity, transparency, and accountability in financial dealings. It's a call to action for all stakeholders to bolster their defenses against fraud and ensure that the financial markets remain a safe terrain for all participants.

2025.01.31 02:51 Squirrelflight148931 Moonpaw AU concept for Changing Skies Arc.
Spoilers for the Elder's Quest.
After the events of the Elder's Quest, Eclipse's final words are this. "If you won't let me be with you in your world, you will be with me in mine."
AU begins.
Moonpaw comes clean to everyone as she is growing more disturbed and panicked about the constant voice. In response, her voice takes over and assumes control of her body. In an instant, Moonpaw appears to become gentle and happy, almost kit like, as she tells Bay and Thrift it's good to see them again, that she knows they never had the chance to speak. She'd introduce herself, but she doesn't know if she even has a name.
In shock, her parents slowly understand who they're talking to, and adress her as Eclipsekit, however soon, this will be shortened purely to Eclipse.
"So you did name me." Eclipse initially speaks happy and grateful as her parents slowly realize the gravity of the situation.
Eclipse happily explains how she 'died' in the womb, but found her Sister's soul and was bonded to it. Due to this, she never officially died, but moved over.
Within minutes however, the cats around her, mostly consisting of the Medicine Cats, her parents, and Sunbeam, begin to turn on her softly. Thrift is torn inside, but informs Eclipse that she is tormenting her Sister.
Eclipse refutes this, thinking Moonpaw has chosen to reject her. She can't understand. Thrift begs her to join Starclan, because she loves both her daughters so much, but she has a living one who cannot live her life because of the other.
Again, and more bitterly, Eclipse mentions Moonpaw could live her life if she'd accept her. She is unable to understand that she has taken her Sister's freedom.
Due to this, it eventually devolves into argument, and Eclipse tells her inner truth.
"I felt the... cold of Death. Empty, alone... and then I felt the warmth of Life... of blood in my veins. I have been given a second chance at life. And... I won't give that up."
Eclipse becomes possessive of her very life, knowing that Moonpaw is her only chance to live. Her spirit never made it to Starclan, and was caught in the void briefly before transition. All she understands is the coldness of the End, and she refuses to go back to it, and soon becomes spiteful believing her parents are dismissing her.
"Both of your daughters are alive. Why should only Moonpaw live?!"
"Because... she doesn't have a choice. You do." Thrift begs her and tells her that Eclipse has enslaved her Sister. This isn't her life.
Eclipse grows upset that her own parents cannot understand her. That they would seemingly rather she face the cold death she fears so bad. Isn't a parent supposed to... care?
Jayfeather then threatens that all he has to do is put her on poppy seeds, and take her to the Moonpool to be taken. He tells her she'll not have a choice. Inevitably, Eclipse and Moonpaw are in Thunderclan camp, and they won't let her leave now for sure.
Eclipse finally threatens back.
When she fused with Moonpaw's spirit, she took control of it. Eclipse by all means is still a spirit. Just because Moonpaw sleeps does not mean Eclipse has to. If she loses control of this body for even a moment, she can take Moonpaw's spirit faster than he could blink. She desperately wants to live in Moonpaw's world with her, but if it has to be the other way around, she'll at least threaten it.
"How... long has it been since you played a game, old Jayfeather? After all... I'm the innocent kit. I've play lots of games in my time. Don't play games with me... or I'll play one with you."
"And Jayfeather, not every game has a winner."
Eclipse covers the black side of her face, and the ginger side smirks playfully.
"I have a new chance at life. And the warmth is... beautiful."
She relents control and lets a shaken Moonpaw return. Every cat is horrified at what they've learned.
Moonpaw becomes a prisoner in the Medicine Den to the horror of every cat involved.
Because of Eclipse's threat, Moonpaw's body is compromised. The risk of Eclipse taking over at any moment, possibly harming or killing others as a warning was too great. Everyone understood how unfair it was, but Eclipse was tied to Moonpaw. She could not leave.
Tree was brought in to try and 'feel' her soul, and he did. What he discovered was ill fated. Eclipse was effectively fused with Moonpaw's soul. There was no extracting Eclipse without simultaneously taking Moonpaw. The two were now now bound deeper than the Sisters' talents understood.
They drew comparisons to Ashfur and Brambleclaw, but as Tree soon stated, Brambleclaw was still free to roam as a ghost, and speak to those who could help him. Moonpaw and Eclipse are one. Moonpaw is a prisoner within her own flesh. She is utterly at Eclipse's mercy.
After a few more hopeless days, both Moonpaw and Eclipse ran out of patience. Eclipse wanted to live her life, even though it wasn't hers. And soon, Moonpaw lost her will to live, and began leaning towards sacrifice. Finally, she promised Eclipse that if she wouldn't let Moonpaw live her life in peace, than she'd have no reason to let Eclipse live hers. She finally desired to end her own life to the horror of her Clanmate.
Before she could, Eclipse permanently took control of her sister's body, for she could not allow that.
Now she made frequent attempts to outwit and soon outright attack her guards, attempting to flee in her words, "To another Clan that won't have the connection Thunderclan does. Maybe they won't care who's in control."
She wanted freedom, and she got it.
As her mind became sharper in concentration, she managed to evade her captors and confronted the Clan, holding another Apprentice in her grasp, she furiously bantered with her parents and Clanmates before she was overcome. Moonpaw's body was not fully mature, and in her heart, Eclipse was nothing more than a young kit, innocent to the world, and terrified of Death.
No cat could blame a kit for clutching desperately to a second life, but Eclipse had to go. Moonpaw's very sanity now hinged upon it.
She was taken to the Medicine Den to be watched over day and night where Moonpaw could possibly be cared for despite her seeming possession.
One fateful day, it all came crashing down. After days of reasoning and arguing with the bitter lost Eclipse, Jayfeather spoke to her alone. The guards were just outside, and even Eclipse wouldn't catch Jayfeather off guard with his senses. He'd have to be out of his senses, and she knew this. And Jayfeather trusted in one last thing. If no one else could bring her to the Moonpool or enter her mind... maybe he could.
In his head, he pleaded to Starclan for one last gift, a vestige of his old self. In his mind, he asked himself why he believed his power would suddenly work out of the blue... and his answer was the only thing Eclipse heard him speak.
"Because I care."
In a heartbeat he had latched his claws into her head, focusing every ounce of his will into it. And her eyes went pale with dream.
It had worked. And standing face to face in an arena of broken dreams, Jayfeather challenged her.
"In the waking world I am blind. But in dreams, I can see you clearly. I was once taught the ways of a Warrior... and I have fought before. Now I fight for a Clanmate."
Eclipse was stunned, yet only remarked, "Is that so, old cat? We will see!"
The two fought viciously, spirit against spirit as Eclipse was given unusual vigor in her deathly form. Jayfeather would not win from force alone, yet as he fought, he focused deep within her. "Let me see your soul."
He saw so sharply and vividly her nature, he could soon differentiate the two sister's spirits, and split them.
In an instant the dreamland shattered, and he looked into Moonpaw's eyes as they stood in the forests...
She was a ghost. And Moonpaw only looked at Jayfeather with horror as she realized.
"Jayfeather what did you do?"
As reality hit him, he forced himself to wake up. And as the darkness closed on his vision again, he felt her paw clutch his throat.
"Clever," Eclipse would snarl, furiously from Moonpaw's flesh. "You will never do that again."
Jayfeather had been caught dreaming after all, and he realized his mistake.
As their spirits were seperated, Moonpaw was free, but so was Eclipse. Starclan's magics had imbued her soul, and given her their undying strength. She felt the same cold horror, but now she had power. Now... Jayfeather had nowhere to go. By the time the guards rushed in, he had already bled out. Thrift gazed at her daughter in horror.
"Moon...?" / "Not... anymore..." Thrift only responded in terror. "What do you mean... what happened to Moon..."
And Eclipse replied, standing over Jayfeather's body, her breathing ragged.
"He took her from me, now she is adrift. For a moment I felt that same cold... but I still have warmth within me... it is the last of it you will ever steal from me!"
With Moonpaw gone, and their spirits no longer one, Eclipse understood it would now be far easier for a Sister or other cat to take her spirit from Moonpaw. She was vulnerable, and closer to true Death than she had ever been before.
Starclan's magics had stolen her innocence. She understood the world now, but she was still a helpless kit deep within. Now she a terrified kit, close to death, with Starclan's unholy words burning her brain. Inside, she was terrified by this new sense. The smallest taste of this unnatural, cold light Starclan gave her, was enough to terrify Eclipse into claiming Moonpaw's flesh more adamantly than ever before.
Now it was Ash and Bramble all over again, an unwelcome spirit, and now she had lost her shield, her dear Sister. Thrift had forbidden the Warriors to pursure, for like Brambleclaw, the body still meant Moonpaw could be saved. But Eclipse did not ever process she still had that leverage. The horror of her death and vulnerability turned her rabid and frantic.
Unlike Ashfur who fought deliriously for a distant obsession, Eclipse was now fighting for her very life, and was vividly awake. She found that Starclan's might empowered her. Ashfur once fought off a patrol of cats who wished to murder him. Eclipse could do far worse, and no Thunderclan cat would dare risk harming her body.
And unlike Ashfur, Eclipse was little more than a young terrified kit in her mind. She had no ambitions or goals against the Clans. Her only purpose on this earth was to survive. To never feel that cold again. Eclipse would've fled the territories and never been seen again had the Clans allowed it. But fortunately for Moonpaw, they would not give up on her yet.
As the Clan rallied to face her in the forests, she relentlessly and vigorously tore through any cat who got in her way, panic and rage fueling her.
No cat got so much as a claw in her flesh. Before she had Moonpaw as her shield, now... she was a shield of her own, thanks to what Jayfeather had done to her. He had introduced her spirit to solitary existence, allowing her rightful power in Starclan to imbue her, and it made her sick. She wanted to live.
She tore her way through because they were trying to kill her... in her mind. And they didn't stop fighting because she was trying to kill them. What soon became a chain reaction led to the other Clans coming in, desperately trying to outmatch the crazed Kit.
Lionblaze met her on the battlefield, and halted his Clanmates. He had realized that Jayfeather was not the only one with their old life restored. He felt strength in his weary limbs, like some outside force would assuredly demand his victory.
He was here for Jayfeather, and she knew it. She would not escape him. There was no way out.
As the two violently sparred, it became clear that though Lionblaze had his indomitable skills, Eclipse had the invigoration of Starclan and a body to channel it.
She could not defeat Lionblaze, and he could not defeat her.
It became clear the two would fight one dropped dead, and that would never come by chance.
Lionblaze finally understand. Eclipse will never dare let go of her life... so he must.
As Eclipse threw him aside again, they conversed.
"You will never defeat me!" She screeched these words defiantly, with purpose driving her. And Lionblaze felt his form slump slightly.
"I know that now... I realize... I'm not supposed to. This wasn't about my Brother... it was always bigger than us. This power... it fuels everything I am, but I see now that it is not mine."
Lionblaze caught Dovewing's eye as he straightened himself mockingly, and lunged for Eclipse. In what seemed a few heartbeats, he had failed every strike and she had lashed her claws over his throat.
Now as he lay bleeding, his eye catches Dovewing's again as he lay. He had only one left to say.
"The fourth cat... was never Firestar. The Prophecy never ended... until today."
The Power of Three had been reignited. Dovewing now felt it in her soul as Lionblaze shut his eyes a final time.
Eclipse fled in the chaos through the forest, but she would not get far, and Tree realized this.
Moonpaw had been adrift as a ghost, wandering, but as she watched Eclipse use her body for such horrible deeds, and having suffered weeks a prisoner of her own flesh, she had become spiteful and bitter, perhaps worse than Eclipse. Now, it was her turn.
With their spirits no longer one, Eclipse had no power over her, and Moonpaw began to haunt and torment Eclipse as was done to her for so long.
Every waking minute she was hissing in her ear, mocking her resolve.
"All you wanted was to be a loyal Warrior? Being a warrior means sacrificing your pleasures for your clan!" / "My death didn't sacrifice anything for Thunderclan, I was a kit! My life didn't sacrifice anything either!"
"You sacrificed me!" Moonpaw tormented her Sister, and the farther Eclipse went, she was still a terrified kit. She still wanted to be... wanted. Moonpaw found a way to psychologicaly tear at Eclipse's mind the farther she "Abandoned" her family. Eclipse realized she could no farther. Some form of guilt or shame appeared to be literally eating alive, and it hurt to continue.
"Enough, leave me alone!" / "You didn't leave me alone. The only way this ends is you leave, and let me live. This isn't your body, it's mine! Until then... sister...
If you won't let me live in my world in peace, I will be with you in yours."
Moonpaw now furiously tormented her sister, allowing the Clans to come up with a plan. Like Ashfur, they wondered if they could lure her into the Place of No Stars, and destroy her soul. But this proved impossible. With Ashfur, the Dark Forest had boiled up to devour his infestation. Without Ashfur, the black waters had long drained, and Eclipse would never be led so far astray.
In the end, it was only one cat who was needed.
Dovewing spoke to Tigerstar, and reasoned that she had to fight Eclipse. Tigerstar instantly forbade it, terrified for his mate's saftey. But Dovewing informed him that the Power of Three had finally come full circle.
First Jayfeather, then Lionblaze. She told him that all their power had come to her alone, and she had the power and responsibility to defeat Eclipse. After a long deliberation, Tigerstar, barely holding himself together... allowed it. She had a good point, and seemed certain she would win.
As they caught up with the tormented cat, Dovewing would fall bloody under her claws in a matter of minutes.
And as Tigerstar fell at her side, he understood in anguish.
"You knew..." / "I am sorry, Love... you'd never have agreed. You'd have run away with me again if you knew... it would've been too painful. But Lionblaze was right. This power was never ours. It is the only way."
Upon Dovewing's Death, the Clans now prepared to fight to the end, ready now to kill Eclipse.
Thunderclan had hated this, but even Thrift and Bay had begun to understand... life in Starclan was better for Moonpaw than an eternity of torment. They loved Eclipse as a daughter... but she had betrayed everything. She must die.
And right as the blood was about to fly, Eclipse seemed to fall into so brief a dream.
In her dreamscape... Moonpaw was there. In her coursed undying power. She was not spiteful or angry, and Eclipse watched the strange magics engulf her dear sister...
The Power of Three, a pact sealed in the Stars before the dawn of the Clans, had finally come to be.
The power shifts to those who defeat the previous.
Dovewing claimed the power when Hollyleaf vanished, because in a way, she had replaced her. She won the power.
The Fourth Cat... the one who defeats all three of Starclan's champions.
Eclipse did the deed, but the body was not hers.
One cat, who stood with the Power of Three. Here Moonpaw stood with a shy smile, looking at her terrified sister.
"With this power... we can live together. I open my soul to you once more... we can be together again, free from judgement."
In her naive self, Eclipse accepted in joy, believing her Sister was finally ready to accept her. She was right. A final embrace.
The Power of Three was not so cut and dry. Jayfeather's was the power of sight, the mind. It is all that thinks, sees, hears.
Lionblaze was the power of force. Of willpower refusing to submit to the world. It is all that stands, breathes, and lives.
Dovewing had the power of understanding, of wisdom. It is all that knows, that feels, that loves...
Mind, Body... and Soul. Together it is dominion over everything it means to be alive.
It is the power to live so forvever... as their spirits entwine again and become one, this time of free will, Moonpaw has control... she turns the Power on itself, and burns her soul to ash.
And Eclipse with it. As the black side of her face sees her family, she only whispers 'Goodbye.'
The light dulled in her eyes before her body hit the floor, an empty vessel. Both sisters were destroyed.
AU finished. Now some notes.
I figured it was a new take. People were upset that this was just another possession plot.
I figured, yes, but this is a kit. A kit who possibly only wants to live, and fears death so badly she'll cling to the second chance beyond all hope. She's too young and naive to understand why what she's done is wrong. And with the added penalty of having no way of closing it... it brought hopelessness in.
I was actually quite pleased with Jayfeather's Death. Originally I hadn't thought of it, but I began thinking of ways to possibly defeat Eclipse, and I realized how impactful it'd be if he accessed his old power out of sheer love for his Clanmate. He said, "Because I care." Convincing himself that despite his attitude... he cares deep down, and he got to show it.
It then basically came naturally like a puzzle piece that once he divided their souls, he was with Moonpaw, and when he snapped back to reality...
The only logical way forward was his death. Eclipse would be enraged and horrified by what he'd done since it made her spirit vulnerable, and now like Ashfur she had Starclan's strength.
There was no way out at that point.
There was an alternate ending I crafted for this, where before Moonpaw had become sui)(cidal (Reddit may not like the word), The Clans had brought her to a sort of witch doctor, maybe a Sisters cat or rogue, who found that since Eclipse never officially died, she could be moved to a newborn kit like Cinderheart and given her life back.
The idea here was unlike most villains who are irredeemable, at her core Eclipse is a child. She is a mental kit who has Starclan's unholy power haunting her, and she is so drawn to the saftey of life, and she's already felt cold death. She is literally too young to know better. Before her more Icy Wrath came in, there was a way she and Moonpaw could've lived life together, with Eclipse reborn. Happily ever after, and they'd let bygones be bygones.
I chose to reufse this ending for one reason.
The Clans. Throughout all their history, the Clans have proven themselves irresponsible with their own society. They have single handedly constructed almost every threat they face and suffer for, and almost none were inheritley evil, and most importantly, the only influence they had to corrupt them was Clan influence.
Thistleclaw was built by Silverhawk and Dark Forest promises. He corrupted Tigerclaw and fed him dark influences. Tigerclaw created Scourge through torment.
Onestar created Darktail. Hawkfrost whispered in Ashfur's ears. Splashtail had Curlfeather.
The Clans have proven time and time again they cannot be trusted with their own security. They are self destructive by design of their code and heritage.
I realized it would be much more accurate that the Clans fail to understand and move immediately to threats.
The first thing Jayfeather and others said to Eclipse was she needed to leave, and join Starclan, not addressing or comforting her fear of it. It was understandable because they were terrified for Moonpaw, but they chose threats first and foremost and destroyed any hope of reasoning with Eclipse.
Even if Eclipse didn't deserve new life, it would be worth it for nothing else than letting Moonpaw live for once, and could deal with her Sister later.
I realized this was a perfect opportunity to do one thing the Clans haven't truly done before.
Lose.
In the Broken Code, despite the losses, we feel the Clans have won, because the goal was achieved.
The goal was save Brambleclaw and depose Ashfur.
They won at that task, though Bristlefrost paid the price.
The Clans always have won. This time... they lost. They begin to understand they should've just killed her where she stood in the Medicine Den that day. Because in the end... Moonpaw died anyway. And because of their actions, the Three, and possibly many more had risked or lost their life to Eclipse's growing torment.
The Clans lost. This would be an arc with no bittersweet ending. It leaves the reader and the Clans finally understanding... they lost.
Think, "Oh god," at the end of Marvel's Infinity War if you saw that. The sheer dread of realizing you've lost so much for nothing.
Moonpaw and Eclipse both died, because the Clans are built to destroy themselves.
I almost wonder where the next arc would pick up. Would this finally be the catalyst to teach them to change their ways... or they will be destroyed.
And of course I heavily enjoyed fixing the fourth cat prophecy from OOTS.
Firestar is NOT every prophecy.
The way I changed it, essentially Hollyleaf was the third, but since Dovewing technically "Replaced" her, the power moved. Basically if Holly couldn't be here to fulfill the prophecy, someone must be. Dovewing "Defeated" Hollyleaf. The idea that the Fourth Cat was always going to be "One cat, WITH the power of three, which is the totality of mastery over all things that make up a living being, was honestly really fun to create.
I think I've outdone myself. I feel like whatever the books actually do with her... because I just KNOW in my heart they'll completely fumble the ball and kick it backwards by accident. I know they will.
Mind that I created this entire story in five. bloody. hours. It was me daydreaming while at work today.
DAYDREAMING AT WORK.
What exactly do you think the Writers do all day?...

2025.01.31 02:51 Wooflyplis [PC][Early~Mid 90s] A puzzle game where you have to fix pictures or abstract shapes
Yeah so it was a game I believe I played on DOS, it had some catchy music that would kick in after the timer was ticking down sounded like Du De Du De Du-du-de Du Du de (sorry I'm losing it). You tried to solve the shapes which would sometimes ripple like water or have some things that looked a bit like those optical illusions.

2025.01.31 02:51 FreakyT Will a 616-0206 replacement battery (4th gen) fit into a 3rd gen slim (15GB) iPod?
It seems like its increasingly tricky to find a true 616-0159 (3rd gen) replacement, but it's pretty easy to find the 616-0206 (4th gen) replacement batteries. Has anyone here ever tried installing a 4th gen battery into a 3rd gen? Did it work?

2025.01.31 02:51 External-Fail-8646 I Quit My First Year
Yeah I put in my 60 days last week. Given the high turn over rate in my district I don’t see them letting me go before then. I fully planned on staying until June and not renewing my contract. Leaving in March felt so silly. Why not finish out the year at that point? But holy shit I could not take it anymore. I feel completely unsupported, our administration keeps being moved around so nothing gets done, these students go undisciplined, aids do not stay with their students, I don’t have enough space or materials for the 30+ students in my 5 classes, the school environment and teachers are so negative. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m having an anxiety attack at least 2-3 times a week. I try so hard every day to come in and get through the day but there’s moments where I’m just at a loss for words. I’ve asked for help from my supervisor and they have yet to get back to me on several instances of bullying, harassment, and smoking that I’ve reported. I was miserable and everyone in my life could not be happier to know that I quit. They saw how this job drained the life out of me. Maybe I bit off more than I could chew when I accepted this job, but I never in a million years thought things were better this bad. Veteran teachers were telling me this has been their worse school year in 20 years. I briefly spoke with HR and the superintendent about my resignation and they were completely understanding. They know everything is a mess.
Just knowing that I don’t have to stay until June is a complete weight lifted off my shoulders. But how do I survive the next 2 months with no support? I’ve used my sick days already (I was actually sick when I used them), I have 3 personal days left. I still love teaching and my students (9-12 grade art btw) don’t know I’m leaving yet. I have a good relationship with most of them and I’ve been reining them in a lot more lately. I don’t want to be the teacher that gives up just because I’m leaving. The absolute mess of a classroom and art program that I walked into is not something I want to leave behind for the next teacher. And yeah some of those kids piss me off sometimes but there are a lot of them who really want to do the work. So how do I finish out my time there without losing my goddamn mind?
