2025.01.31 02:32 kld127 Changing table set up that doubles as toy storage?
I have a 14 month old and this spring, will have 2 under 2. I would love a piece of furniture on our first floor that could have toy storage my oldest could access on her own, with a changing pad on top for both babies as needed. I LOVE the Ikea Kallax but am reading that some people find it too short to use as a changing table (and that attaching feet makes it wobbly). Currently, we have a dresser downstairs that is just so bulky. And the drawers are huge - my 14 month old really can’t access what’s in them and if she did, she’ll more likely close her finger in a drawer. It’s more of a hazard than helpful. Our house is really old and has a lot of stairs so we have found that two changing stations are essential. My 14 month old is so active, she cannot be changed on a couch or floor. Anyone have a set up they enjoy that fits this description?!

 | So I lived on my own for about a year and I decided to end my lease this march to move back in out my parents. It was kinda impulsive because I got spooked looking at my finances but then again moving out was also kind of impulsive. It’s the financially smart decision but now it’s sinking in the reality. I will have to deal with my father everyday. I don’t hate him but his negativity drains my energy I hate his whole vibe. Being on my own I feel sharper and less downtrodden. I’m also scared I’m gonna go home and gain a bunch of weight bc I get too relaxed. My parents are also looking to move in the next year. So now I’m just looking around and I feel like I have so much junk I need to get rid of and feeling stressed out I reallly wish I had the money to live in a better spot on my own. It feels like I don’t have a home. Y’all … I am desperate I just want to live in an ok apartment with less than 1 hr commute to school and work The place I’ve been living in is ok. I am looking and regretting ending this lease too … what I had was really good lol… but I also need to save that money u know In my ideal situation I move into a place with my sister and her friend but I will need finances and their roommate situation to fall into perfect place. I really do not want to live with my dad. He’s not even horrible I just cannot deal with his general downtrodden attitude and personality. It really triggers something inside me. I don’t hate him I want him happy and healthy and far away from me. I love my mum tho I look forward to spending time with her Deep down I am feeling very desperate and anxious haha. So today marks the 4th month i’ve bought a Camo Ps5 controller (under a year warranty) and wanted to trade it in because of stick drift.
Apparently their warranty has been changed.
When one gets something under warranty one can assume you’re going get a replacement of equal value. I bought a brand new controller and they tried to give me a refurbished one instead because of the new policy. NOPE.
So how did i escape getting burned? By the grace of the gaming gods, all they had in stock was the brand new camo controller so they had to give it to me.

Hey guys.
I'm in a fortunate position of having received:
- 2 PhD offers (in applied math and statistics)
- 1 in-person interview opportunity (engineering)
While I'm grateful for these opportunities (especially since I was so afraid of getting rejected from every program that I started applying to master's programs), I'm trying to stay grounded. I've likely been soft-rejected from my top choices already, but there's still a possibility of receiving more offers.
(I am still holding onto hope that I might get into my top choice because it's a bigger department and a student from my school the previous year got in T_T, but we have totally different research backgrounds).
What would you advise regarding:
- Whether to accept the third visit offer? I'm really liking the size of the department, and the professor who called me seems to have a great group, but my friends said this department is competitive.
- How to approach choosing between different fields?
- Managing the logistics of multiple visits?
