Need advice. My SIL and I don’t have a great history. How do I politely tell my SIL to leave me, my husband, and kid alone. Our kid is going to get their 1 year shots in about a month. She keeps texting my husband anti shot stuff. It’s pissing me off. Why does she care so much? Let us do our own research and politely keep your judgement out of our lives. Side note - not that this matters but I need to vent. She’s one of those people that has a Mom M.D. Within 48 hours of having her third kid, she posted a three part story about her home birth. Her dad texted me and my husband telling us we need to congratulate her. That pissed me off because I did text her even though we don’t get along. I told him that and he said oh, maybe it’s some of the other family that hasn’t reached out. I knew she was going to keep tabs on who reached out to her, and I played her game. What a nightmare. I’ve never dealt with such pettiness and drama ever.

With looming tariffs, growing wealth inequality, and the rise of hate I want to find ways to grow community and connection in the town that I live in. (Devon). One of the ways I thought about doing this was starting a non-partisan community group where we can connect and share skills, plan community garage sales or swaps, etc and it seems to have garnered lots of interest.
I am wondering two things:
- what are some ideas to build community and also help one another save money
- What is the best way to set this group up. Do I become a charity so that I can get grants and expand my net of helping people. Or do I just keep it as a grassroots initiative. If I am a charity I could get funding from government to help the community. Does that make me non-partisan still. And it appears to come with a lot more paperwork and I’m not really interested in that side of it at all.

Got my K1. It does print and etc.. Trying to connect it to my network. Thing is, I cant press the letter R for my password. It also doesn't press 5 (the same spot on the keyboard). Tried unplugging the screen and plugging it back in. Also factory reset it. Neither choice seemed to fix it. Any ideas?

2025.01.31 02:53 GrapyToad Part fell off of GPU
 | Bought a new 4070ti super from Best Buy and just before putting it into my pc this part fell out of the GPU. I never snapped it off, was just moving the GPU. I’m no expert, but it barely looks like it was soldered. Is this something I should try to take to a PC repair shop or just go through the refund process with Best Buy?
