2025.01.31 03:14 Tommyhanksy [Advise Needed] Cap main looking to break into diamond
Hey Rivals! I got into Plat 1 maining Cap and switching to Invis whenever needed but it seems like I can't break into diamond.
I've gotten pretty good at diving in to the back line and hoping the fuck outta there with Cap when the enemy teams are aware I'm there but obviously I can't kill them if I only have a few seconds to hit them with Cap's weak combo, meaning I won't be making space for my team for long.
It seems like the higher level players are all aware how to protect their backline so I kinda need advice on how to break through and make space longer for my team... And sometimes I feel like I'm such a letdown for my team cause they'll see my low KDA at the end even though I feel like I've been alive long and trying my best to make space.
Would love to hear other Cap mains advice!

Pardon my English it is not my first language. Last year I (19M) and a college classmate (18F) hooked up (no sex or anything just kissing), a few days later she sent me a text saying that she just wanted to stay friends and she wasn’t ready for a relationship. After that we didn’t speak for a while, until I told her that I didn’t want to loose her friendship because of a failed relationship attempt, so we began speaking again but not a lot, which was kind weird because we were friends before that. Jumping to the beginning of 2025, we began talking again and A LOT, for the past 2-3 weeks we were talking a lot and sometimes played games together. Of course that is something some friends do (I mean talking a lot to each other) but it felt different than the normal friends talking, sometimes she would say something about my dating life or send a very normal but cute picture of what she was doing (her face included in the picture). Because of this and my severe lack of experience in the dating world I interpreted this as signs that she wants something more, but now that our holidays are over we are talking way less and I cannot for the life of me tell if she is even slightly bothered by the fact that we’re not talking the same way we were before.
So I asked some of my friends for advice and some said that I should ask her out again and “lay my cards on the table”, tell her that I love her, basically confess (again) and one of them said that I should give up on her because she thinks she’s not interested in dating at all. I’m a big closure man myself, so it really bothers me when I leave something so important unchecked, so I’m facing a small dilemma, should I tell her how I feel about her and risk another loosing her not just as a girlfriend but as a friend, or should I not say anything and just push her away to the point where we will still be friends but not just as close. While I like the idea of asking her out again I don’t know if the risk is worth it, at the same time that I would love to have her, I would be devastated if I truly lost her as a friend, just thinking that I might not hear her laugh because of some dumb shit I said or that i won’t be able to get close to her without it being awkward makes me truly sad.
On the other hand, leaving things the way they are might end in a similar result minus the awkwardness, but I don’t know if my “heart” can just forget about her like that, I’ve tried it before, but it only made me love her more for some ungodly reason. I sincerely don’t know what to do and would be very thankful if someone could give me some advice.
