My brother recently convinced me to finally make a Hunter, I haven't played this class since before the 3.0 systems, so I never really looked too deeply into things. One thing that now confuses me though on Solar is Gunpowder Gamble vs On Your Mark. I've always seen everyone running On Your Mark for years now, but with a closer look I don't understand why. Isn't Gunpowder Gamble just better, what with the ignition and overall just free ability/damage? What am I missing here?

 | Hi y’all, I need some guidance on this. I recently had both front doors on my car repainted, and they looked awesome for about a month. Then, I started noticing tiny grains or “dots” popping up uniformly across the panels. Naturally, I busted out the DA polisher and removed them with some rubbing compound, making sure they were actually gone and not just being filled in. But a couple of weeks later, they’re coming back—though less strongly than before. The body shop offers a lifetime warranty, so I can take it back, but I want to understand what’s causing this before they try to dismiss it. Also if it’s self- limiting and it’ll quit reappearing eventually I can keep compounding it until it stops. No need to give the body shop a headache. I don’t think it’s dirt kicking up and sandblasting the paint because: The rear doors and front fenders (original paint) are perfectly fine with no similar defects. And the issue is only on the repainted doors and appearing and reappearing almost uniformly. I’d really appreciate any input on what the issue looks like. 2025.01.31 03:02 flacko32 My GF (31F) is in a group chat at work where they were talking about how hot a male client is. I'm (28M) feeling weird about the dynamic and don't know how to think
Probably not for the reason you might assume.
So, my girlfriend is in a Slack channel for work with 4 other people who all work with external clients, 3 other women and 1 man. She jokingly showed me a bunch of messages they've had all day where they're talking about a male client who is apparently extremely hot. All of the women posting messages about how hot and bothered they are, and how every time he's on a call they think about how sexy he is, and etc. Meanwhile the one man in the chat is posting messages essentially like "um, guys, I'm here too" and memes like "not sure what i'm supposed to do."
So, I'm not bothered about my gf finding some other guy hot, or talking to me about it, that's fine. Also, from the context of the messages, it's clear it's all in good fun. I don't get the sense, at least from the messages, that the man is like genuinely uncomfortable. Nor do I think any of the women are doing any real harm by talking about how hot they find this client. But I also couldn't help but think of the examples I heard about during Me Too and online of like male group chats in work places where they talk about hot they find colleagues and etc, and making the office feel like a boy's club, and making the women in the workplaces feel extremely uncomfortable and how those kinds of comments have no place in a work setting and etc.
So I find myself feeling two pretty opposite feelings: 1. That it really does feel like the messages were harmless and in good fun, and 2. That I see a real parallel with a behavior that I've had pretty thoroughly ingrained in me is wrong.
Anyways, I brought all this up with my gf, hoping she could help me work through it, and she did NOT appreciate the comparison. And she brought up some good points, like how the guy in the group chat isn't like a new hire, but is in fact pretty senior, or how it's a continuation of an existing joke they've had in person that he's been present for. But she was also pretty offended by my bringing it up.
So anyways, I would appreciate any input reddit has on the whole thing.

I just want to say to everyone who didn’t get the result they wanted this cycle: don’t give up! It is really hard to pivot and figure out what to do for the rest of the year while you wait to reapply. But it is all worth it in the end!
I first applied for PhD programs in my final year of undergrad. Zero acceptances and no backup plan. I had to move states and go back to living with my parents, working and saving up, and trying to get whatever relevant experience I could.
My second year, I tried to leave my MA program off of my application materials, because I was only halfway through a two year program. I just wanted to start my PhD as soon as possible. It undoubtedly hurt my application, but I got one waitlist that year. Better than last time!
This time, everything is finally right. I will have completed my MA in the spring. All of the projects that I was part of at my old lab finally published our papers, so I could list them. My advisor and I have a great research fit, and the school is within driving distance of my hometown!
The time in between was really, really difficult. I learned to live with true failure for the first time. I yearned for the chance to get back into my field. I was not fulfilled with what my life had to be while I was waiting. But I had to keep going if I ever wanted to get out of that situation.
You can do it! The only way you will ever truly fail is if you give up while still wanting to go for it.

2025.01.31 03:02 Sandwich_YT Spider-Man from Rivals has the perfect mechanics for an RPG
Spider-Man from this game, in my opinion has the perfect level of complexity in his mechanics for an RPG story game.
In the past, the thing that usually makes me put down games like God of War, Spider-Man, is that after a while it becomes essentially a movie where I have to button mash every now and again. The controls and fighting mechanics feel very hand-holdy to me. Cranking up the difficulty doesn’t solve it either, because the kills don’t feel as rewarding to compensate.
But for some reason, the insanely high skill floor for the character in Rivals makes every combo so incredibly satisfying and rewarding to hit.
If operating a character in a story mode game had this same level of complexity, the learning curve would be perfect, similar to souls like games, instead of conquering your enemy’s pattern, you conquer your own.

21, male, 5ft 10in, 175lbs, white, USA
Hypertension
Amlodipine 5mg 1t every morning (for bp)
Zyrtec 10mg 1t every morning (for allergies)
Clonidine 0.1mg 1t every night (for bp and adhd)
Hydroxyzine 12.5mg 1t every night (for sleep)
Guanfacine 2mg ER 1t every night (for adhd and bp)
(not prescribed) pseudoephedrine 30mg tab 2t every 6 hours as needed
I do vape
In the past, I've taken Pseudoephedrine (120mg 12hr er tabs), drank a lot of caffeine and took my 20mg adderall tablets (1t twice a day) just fine. Sometimes had some high blood pressure, but nothing crazy.
Now I'm on amlodipine 5mg every day and I take pseudoephedrine ir 30mg tabs. 2t as needed every 6 hours.
Now, I discovered something called Bronkaid (ephedrine 25mg tabs) and am scared to take it for some reason.
I do vape.
If I have taken 60mg pseudoephedrine almost 7 hours ago, and have some slight high blood pressure issues (not sure what my bp is rn, but I take amlodipine because my blood pressure is usually higher than it should be) is there any reason to worry about Bronkaid more than if I were to take a 20mg adderall tablet right now or 60mg of ir pseudoephedrine? Or do you think if I took a 25mg Bronkaid tablet, I'd be okay?
Should I just start with half, and see how it goes?
I have a bit of anxiety, so taking new meds really makes me anxious.
The sudafed and bronkaid are not prescribed.
I really just want to be assured that I won't die or have a heart attack. The half life is so short, so I'm not that worried.
