Hi all,
I’m considering applying for the Junior K9 Handler position at Constellis in Philadelphia. The role seems like a great entry point, and I’m really interested in working with K9s. The position doesn’t require prior experience as a K9 handler, but does require completing a 4-8 week training course. I have an interest in K9 handling and would love to hear from anyone who has experience with Constellis or this kind of work.
What are your thoughts on the company and the Junior K9 Handler role, especially for someone without previous K9 handling experience? Are there any specific challenges or things I should be aware of before applying?

Hi everyone! First off, I just want to say how grateful I am for this sub <3
This is Louis, a sweet, gentle 3-year-old Korean Village Dog (Jindo mix) weighing around 40-45 lbs. He was rescued as a stray in South Korea and made his way to the US a month ago. I'm currently fostering him, and he's ready to find a loving, laid-back home.
Louis adores people and will nuzzle into you like a cat. My husband even gave him a belly rub on the first night we had him. He greets strangers politely on walks but prefers a slow, calm introduction (no sudden pets from new people, which is pretty normal for most dogs). He's house-broken and crate-trained, travels well in the car, and is very food-motivated, which makes him easy to train. He knows sit, stay, down, crate, and touch.
He's a chill, cozy kind of guy who enjoys a laid-back home. He doesn't get along with playful dogs and doesn't do well with male dogs in the home. We haven't seen him around female dogs, but when he was a stray in Korea, he roamed with two females (who have since been adopted in SF!). Right now, he seems happiest being the only male dog in the house.
Louis doesn't quite know how to play yet. He's even a little scared of tennis balls. But just this week, he did his first play bow on a walk, so he's starting to figure it out. As for baths, he tolerates them if treats are involved.. It took two of us to distract him, but we got through it.
Health-wise, he's up-to-date on shots, neutered, and was treated for tick-borne diseases before coming to the US.
I'm in Upstate NY, but I'm happy to travel to NYC, NJ, DC, MD, PA, OH, CT, MA, RI, or nearby states if you're able to meet me halfway. Louis is such a good boy and deserves the best home!

It’s been 4 years. I’ve read half of the book three times. I think I know what’s going on, but every time I get to the endnotes, I lose track of time, space, and my will to live. Meanwhile, outsiders just casually mention “Oh, Infinite Jest? Is that the one about addiction or something?” And I'm the crazy one?
At this point, I’m just hoping the Entertainment is actually an audiobook.

2025.01.31 03:22 DoodlesandThings Are decals super important when selling a model kit? Read for a better description
So my employer picked up an older gentleman‘s entire collection from an estate sale before this older gentleman passed away now this collection, however was the reason why they came up with the word ginormous? I mean, no joke you name it any scale any type of F1 models, airplanes, or tanks This man owned it and took care of it. Everything was stacked nicely and bins away from dust, but I have one problem. The man removed every decal from every kit and put it in a separate bin.
No joke, I have over 400 143 scale kits that are just hanging out with every piece intact. Just missing the decals now I’m not the most well-versed in this hobby because I never got into models, but I’ve been learning over the months that I’ve had to sell these .
So I kind of just wanted to ask the community
- Our decals very important?
- Is there a top of the line brand that’s desirable? I see that studio 27MFH and Bam Kids R pretty good in that regard.
- Why would a collector remove all decals and other parts. I didn’t mention either that every single larger model plastic model any model if it wasn’t a 1/43 scale then he took out the wheels too, and put those in a separate bin. The good news is they’re all sealed Brand new never been opened, bad news is he could fill a warehouse with how many models we have in each individual one needs an individual tire and decal.
- To be honest, I kind of think that might’ve been a nice fun joke. You know what I mean? Pass off your collection, then separate and hide the parts and then giggle about it from up in heaven lol.
Any assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated. Maybe you have tips and tricks on how to find decals and match them with their their kit easily. I don’t know or maybe I’ll find out that. I don’t have to put all the pieces together and people don’t really care if the decals are in it or not Also anyways again like I said thank you very much. Have a good night.

Hi! I'm so grateful to have found a community like this online. Recently, I've come to terms with the fact that I have been living with OSDD for quite some time, and I've only just begun to really understand it. A few years ago, I briefly mentioned what I was experiencing to a therapist, and they suggested that I shouldn’t separate the personalities and should instead view them as parts of myself. Looking back, I realize that I’ve felt this way for as long as I can remember, even from when I was a child.
As a kid, I often gave myself the nickname “Roger,” probably because of a show I watched, but it always felt like I wasn’t really [real name]. In preschool and kindergarten, I would shift into different personalities. One, now known as "Jack," would take over when I wanted to entertain others and make them laugh. Another, who I now call "Aren," was the leader on the playground, organizing games and making decisions. But there were also times I would shift back to just being myself, especially when I needed to blend in or tag along. I never quite felt like any one version of myself was the real me, just different aspects of who I was.
For years, I was told this was just me putting on a “social mask.” But in reality, when I was alone, I would often talk to myself, creating entire backstories for these different versions of me. Over time, these parts have developed into seven distinct alters that I now recognize as part of my internal system.
I’ve tried to talk about this before, especially to a family therapist, but I always struggled to fully express what I was feeling. Growing up, I didn’t have the vocabulary or understanding to explain something so complex, and I often felt embarrassed to share. Now that I’m older, I’m finally coming to terms with it, but I still don’t fully understand everything. I’m hoping to find more understanding—both of myself and of my alters.
Recently, I’ve started to notice more shifts in my personality, and it’s been exhausting trying to keep track of who I am at any given time. Today, on day two of my journey, I discovered a new alter—number 7—and it was a huge realization that left me feeling drained. I even found myself curled up, trying to figure out who this new part was and how they fit into the bigger picture.
One thing I’ve noticed is that I get headaches when I talk about my alters, or sometimes if I leave one out or don’t acknowledge them. I’m not sure what to make of it, but I’m hoping to learn more about it and gain clarity as I continue on this path. I’m looking for guidance on how to navigate this journey, and hopefully, I’ll be able to better understand and integrate all the different parts of me.
