I'm in between buying these two, both for similar prices (Van Gogh one is unused). As I'm not that experienced with fountain pens beyond enjoying a couple of kawecos so far, I'm not sure which one I should be going for. I know, two are extremely different pens but still...

How long did it take? What courses did you complete?
I already got my Masters and honestly thought that was it... Recently I was made aware of my county reimbursing tuition for professional development credits for the MA+30.
Since it's only my 2nd year I figured I'll take it easy on myself, but I'm just curious how long it would actually take. I saw one sculpture class being offered for credit, but not sure I'm ready to start getting back into that classroom setting as a student again (especially on some days after work!). I might consider if for next year since I wouldn't mind the pay increase.

2025.01.31 03:51 Jazeeee Lost Account Through Jagex Launcher
Hey all. I recently got an email from Jagex saying my character has been imported to my Jagex account about a week ago, although I did not have an existing Jagex account at that moment. I guess this is the day Jagex forced all accounts to be ran through their launcher and I got caught lacking. I created one with the same email I used to log into OSRS previously (also the same as the one the email was sent to), but upon signing in to the launcher with my new account, my character's name is not listed under the selectable dropdown options. If I attempt to import my character, it asks me to sign in with my OSRS info, which it then tells me is incorrect.
I am now locked out of accessing my account all together until I can figure this out. I tried the account recovery page, if I type my login email to recover my account, it says there are no accounts found associated with that email. But it works if I use my RSN. So I filled out the recovery form earlier this week, and I also submitted a ticket with Jagex but have received no updates so far.
I haven't seen much regarding similar issues online so figured I'd make a post. Just hoping to gain access back to my main that was almost to 2k total. If anyone has had this same issue since the forced migration please let me know if you were able to fix it.

2025.01.31 03:51 patrik123abc Anyone else think the games would be better if instead of the physical/special split they just ditched the special stat from gen one and left us with attack, defense, speed and health?
The perks is that we now have a wider move pool to choose from, being able to choose some moves based on style preferences instead of raw power(some moves would have to be altered like I think thunder punch should have the same attack as thunderbolt otherwise nobody will pick thunder punch anymore)
Bonus idea: since this game is a turned base game and the speed Stat only determines who gets the first move(and if your opponent has 90 speed and you have 150 for example, you get the same effect at 150 if you only had 91, meaning 59 Stat points would just go wasted), do what they did in gen 1 and make "speed" effect critical strike chance. You could also rename it "agility" perhaps or something maybe.
Personally as it is right now, you get so many wasted EVs, IVs and natures too when just trying to play the game and not minmax after you're finished with the main story.
It's pretty lame if you have a mewtwo with a high special attack but you got a nature that increases your attack at the expense of less special or somd other useful attack, even more so if the mewtwo gets high attack IV but low IV elsewhere.
I also don't see anyone going for sp def or physical defense EVs because you don't know what your mon will be facing. Usually people will do something like max out speed and atk or sp. Atk and put the last few EVs into hp. Someone might go more for bulk but that's still usually health and atk or sp atk maxed out with a few points in one of the two defenses just because such a small boost in speed is unlikely to do anything.
Also stupid when you're just going through the game and your pokemon are getting useless EVs.
Then ofc there is the fact that certain moves are more readily available than others. I think that's why I ended up with a nidoking in lets go eevee that had a mix of phys attacks and special attacks like earthquake/poison jab and thunderbolt/ice beam. I was following a mystic umbreon guide on YouTube but I think he woulda told me to get thunder punch/ice punch instead of thunderbolt/ice beam if those were better options and were readily available.

So I've tagged this as TW to be on the safe side, but am looking for discussion around this...
So I'm 34, Transfemme/NB, live in a blue state, but in a deep red pocket of that blue state. I'm hoping to be able to start hormones in about a week. Thing is, I'm nervous and on guard because of the current government and political climate.
For the most part, I'm entirely "boymoding" still. I'm coming out publicly with my gender identity, and have lived my life this far as a gay man. I've never been particularly "effiminate" since I was raised to believe that meant I was weak and not a man (lmfao if only they knew)...but I am considered a cis passing feminine man where I live.
I'm used to dealing with ignorance, though not anything too dramatic or ridiculous usually. But a couple years ago when I started getting acrylic nails on a regular basis, the transphobes around me made themselves know. They are not shy about it. I know that any obvious changes will take time, and I don't care to immediately socially transition (I'm a bit of a tomboy anyway and don't mind the femme but kinda masc vibe.)
So...the point, it's taken me years to love myself for who I am. To even see myself for who I am. Even without starting hormones, just speaking up and saying it out loud had allowed me to fall in love with myself in a way I didn't think possible before. And I'm not giving that up. I don't care how much they fear us.
To be clear, I fully support the 2nd ammendment, no I don't believe it should have ever been interpreted as individual citizens rights to own fire arms or should ever be used to stop common sense gun regulations. I am also not a fire arm enthusiast...while I'm not a pacifist, I don't believe it's my right to take another's life. In fact I believe the constitution is meant to protect us from being gunned down in our homes or communities in any situation. We all deserve the right to due process....
We live on volatile times though. This government's goal is to suppress and allow for the proliferation of white supremacists ideologies. That's blatantly clear. People will become more emboldened to do stupid shit.
I don't want to take it lying down, and my opinion is that I'm not going to give this government my compliance by crawling back into the closet. I'm not scared, I'm angry.
We need to prepare to defend ourselves and those around us. Make your own choices on what that means to you.
Most of my family are gun owners, but it isn't for me. I have however been thinking about getting one of these Byrna less lethal defense weapons though. In fact, I've asked a family member to teach me how to shoot with one of their guns to help me decide if I want to purchase one.
These are co2 pistols and rifles that fire pellets; plain pellets and tear gas pellets. They also sell backpacks with armor, pepper spray and personal alarms.
Is there anyone in this group that is familiar with these weapons and the company and the people who founded it? My mind is made up about finding the means to protect myself, but i want to also make sure I'm not giving money to people who would the use it to fund attacks on marginalized communities
