Upgrade from 1660ti - RTX5080 - GPU only upgrade or Buy new system

So its time to for my budget 2019 setup to get an upgrade but I'm not sure how i do it right.
Currently - i5-9400f - 1660ti - B550m - 16gb 2666hz - 500W
I bought a C4 48 Inch Oled to use as monitor last week, I have a heavy duty monitor arm that swivels it to my bed (to be used as tv sometimes).
Since I will only be playing in 4k mainly (GPU limited) my idea is I have 2 options :-
- Upgrade to 850W PSU and wait for my RTX 5080 Zotac - $2100 after shipping
- Buy Techfast's Ryzen 7 9800X3D + 5080 Build ~$3400 After shipping

2025.01.31 04:20 Downtown_Tower5456 Anyone know why on Spotify most of Driveways songs have no lyrics but on YT Music most all do?
Title basically. Don't get me wrong it's a very minor thing but sometimes like to listen and read the lyrics as I'm a tad bit hard of hearing.
I'm not sure if there is any particular reason or not. Also not sure if the artist has control over it or not. I think on YT music it sources the lyrics from multiple providers but Spotify uses just one.

2025.01.31 04:20 glori_steed I regret talking to a random kid about dumpster diving
Alright so I met some kid whilst dumpsters diving, they made the usual question, "what are you looking for? " I told them that I was looking for clothes, electronics, and metal. They said, "that's sick!" Then told me about TikTok featuring dumpster diving videos and he thought they looked cool and interesting. He then walked away saying, "stay safe," I repeated the same pleasantry.
I feel like a bad influence cause dumpster can be dangerous with the sanitary and infection issues as well as legal trouble. I wasn't able to explain the dangers to him as we both were strapped for time.
What do you guys think?

Separately, two newborns squatted a house in a different neighborhood. When you try to select the house, moving blue mosaic squares appear on what should be the family portrait. If you look at the other families, it then looks like each of them also got those very same kids... hi! I’ve been looking to upgrade my little lady into a 4x2x2 soon and I’ve been leaning towards zen habitats. I was going to get the bio-basin and use the substrate guard, humidity shield, and seal the bottom for good measure to construct a nice bioactive habitat for her.
that being said— I am so worried about her escaping. she is five years old, three feet long, and 120 grams as of last weighing— which was in july ‘24. she may weigh a little more now but she is scared of people so I don’t get her out to weigh as much as I should.
I’m scared she’ll be able to open a door, or slip between them, or go out a cord hole. I really want her to be happy and thrive inside, I don’t want to buy something that will just spell disaster for her. would installing a lock help?
is it just a bad idea for a snake her size?

2025.01.31 04:20 dnguyen823 3.5mm unbalance sounds better than balance on my IEM, any thoughts?
So ever since I bought my Thieaudio Prestige LTD I just assumed balanced 4.4mm would sound better but ever since getting my Sony Z1R I figured I’d test compare the two and tried the 3.5mm cable on my Prestige and notice everything to sound better. The bass is much more full and apparent than it is with the 4.4mm. I was so confused and used to test it with my other dongle and audio interface - audience ID 14 MKII and it’s the same; bass is present, deep, and full.
Anyone know why this is the case? My best guess is the drivers and perhaps it performs better at lower power but higher volume; not sure what this is called in audio or power terminology. Anyways any insight would be great.
