2025.02.01 18:51 Silly_punkk How do I train situational behaviors for non pet friendly places?
My 7mo SDiT is doing fantastic in her training, and with her age we are starting to learn some more advanced behaviors for certain situations (in pet friendly areas of course). However, with certain things we’re hitting a wall trying to learn about them, without bringing her somewhere non pet friendly. SDiT’s are allowed public access in my state, but A, she’s not ready for that, and B, I don’t know if it’s necessarily appropriate to train situational behaviors in non pet friendly spaces? Even if it was appropriate to do some training, she learns best with about 20 minutes of repetition.
The things I’m trying to figure out are:
- Knowing to keep distance from products in a grocery store. We’re working on this in tractor supply on the treat isle, but I feel like the environment is too different from the butcher section in a grocery store.
- Navigating overwhelming areas where there are people really close to us, like crowded restaurants.
- TSA and other places that have security procedures.
- Public transport (busses and planes)

2025.02.01 18:51 Connosieur Gpu performing well in real life but bad in benchmarks
I have an RX 6900 XT gpu i bought 2 years ago, and now im trying to sell it. But a lot of potential buyers are asking for benchmarks on furmark etc. I tried a couple of benchmarks and they showed that my gpu performs well belove average, its straight up garbage. Which took me as a surprise because i never experienced any problems in video editing or gaming( i play in 1440p max settings or 4k medium-high with fsr) It also has good temps and i changed the thermal paste too a couple months ago. So what could be the problem?
Ps: there is no apps running i the background while i benchmark.

I own both a psvr 2 and quest 3 headset. Since getting my quest I play my psvr 2 less bc the graphical quality is better on pcvr. I'm wondering for those that have the adapter is it work it for games that can take advantage of oled screens for instance Metro awakening / half life alyx?

If you’re unaware, this scene was fan-translated to present concerns with Japanese honourifics, like how awkward it would sound for Billy to say “Sherlock-kun”. 2025.02.01 18:51 thefoundou My partner got this tattoo a week ago. Does this look like signs of infection or just the healing process from getting a dense tattoo?
They've been washing it 3-4 times a day with warm water and putting on mad rabbit aftercare. Initially was washing it with Dr. Bronner's unscented for first few days until a friend told them to stop because it was too harsh.
It doesn't feel hot to touch, but it definitely feels sore and tight.
I have no tattoos and am not versed in what to look for, so I appreciate any and all (constructive) advice. We will be heading to urgent care tomorrow if it doesn't seem any better.

I've just launched a totally non-suspicious ninja operation that doesn't involve any actual martial arts (sorry!) but DOES involve making kids smarter through fun quizzes and games!
My channel "Ninja Brain Blast" is like if a ninja dojo and a classroom had a baby, minus the throwing stars (school safety policy, you know? 😅).
What we DO have:

- A ninja sensei who's terrible at hiding but great at teaching

Even though the Portuguese announced in the 1520s that they had discovered in Ethiopia the kingdom of Prester John, Peter Martyr d'Anghiera was still making references to it being in North America in his influential "De Orbe Novo" as late as the 1530's. He even later expressed a sort of regret at the degree to which people believed in some of the more fantastical elements of his writing as truth.
When courting the Catholic monarchs for their support for his initial journey to the Americas, Christopher Columbus apparently explained that he believed he could find Prester John's Kingdom by sailing west.
I feel like most historiography with respect to Prester John gets super hung up on the Portuguese Ethiopian side of a shared Iberian competition to locate the kingdom such that the the Castilian/Spanish search is downplayed or often times outright omitted.
I understand that they were also looking for new land to conquer, people to enslave for cheap labor, and riches, but as I understand it those tales of riches originally stem from rumors relating to Mansa Musa and of Prester John's Kingdom being real that was stuck in the minds of the Iberians.
It seems to be the source of "Ponce de Leon's search for the Fountain of Youth," as the Fountain of Youth was believed in those times to be situated within Prester John's Kingdom.
