Almost all colleges say that students do their own translation. I have a payslip I need to translate so I'm just wondering how you guys would do that (new word document or google image translate or what exactly). 2025.02.01 18:51 thefoundou My partner got this tattoo a week ago. Does this look like signs of infection or just the healing process from getting a dense tattoo?
They've been washing it 3-4 times a day with warm water and putting on mad rabbit aftercare. Initially was washing it with Dr. Bronner's unscented for first few days until a friend told them to stop because it was too harsh.
It doesn't feel hot to touch, but it definitely feels sore and tight.
I have no tattoos and am not versed in what to look for, so I appreciate any and all (constructive) advice. We will be heading to urgent care tomorrow if it doesn't seem any better.

I've just launched a totally non-suspicious ninja operation that doesn't involve any actual martial arts (sorry!) but DOES involve making kids smarter through fun quizzes and games!
My channel "Ninja Brain Blast" is like if a ninja dojo and a classroom had a baby, minus the throwing stars (school safety policy, you know? 😅).
What we DO have:
- Geography quizzes that make learning feel like a video game
- A ninja sensei who's terrible at hiding but great at teaching
- Zero actual ninja skills but 100% brain power
- Kids learning while thinking they're just having fun
- What would make it more engaging for kids?
- Is the pacing ninja-fast or turtle-slow?

2025.02.01 18:51 throwawaythrewnaway Did Hernando de Soto have any expectations of locating the Kingdom of Prester John in his fateful North American Expedition?
Even though the Portuguese announced in the 1520s that they had discovered in Ethiopia the kingdom of Prester John, Peter Martyr d'Anghiera was still making references to it being in North America in his influential "De Orbe Novo" as late as the 1530's. He even later expressed a sort of regret at the degree to which people believed in some of the more fantastical elements of his writing as truth.
When courting the Catholic monarchs for their support for his initial journey to the Americas, Christopher Columbus apparently explained that he believed he could find Prester John's Kingdom by sailing west.
I feel like most historiography with respect to Prester John gets super hung up on the Portuguese Ethiopian side of a shared Iberian competition to locate the kingdom such that the the Castilian/Spanish search is downplayed or often times outright omitted.
I understand that they were also looking for new land to conquer, people to enslave for cheap labor, and riches, but as I understand it those tales of riches originally stem from rumors relating to Mansa Musa and of Prester John's Kingdom being real that was stuck in the minds of the Iberians.
It seems to be the source of "Ponce de Leon's search for the Fountain of Youth," as the Fountain of Youth was believed in those times to be situated within Prester John's Kingdom.

Decided to try IPL on my (m45) pubic hair about 3 weeks ago. Issue is during sex with my wife, she hates the feeling of stubble. Any advice on how to continue IPL without giving my wife the sand paper treatment?

i don’t know what else i can do at this point. my SI has gotten so bad that i can’t even spend that much time cleaning before everything else is drowned out by how much i want to kms. sometimes i can get it a little cleaner but it always falls right back into a mess. people tell me i need to just get a black trash bag and throw everything away but i physically cannot. so much of this stuff has meaning to me. i just wish i would die so people could just throw it away without me knowing.

I have 5 more schools to hear from and I’m not sure if I can get in out of state (especially not getting in to my instate). I interviewed with Minnesota and have another one with Illinois. What are the chances of getting in after the interview? I don’t want to restart my VMCAS application again but it looks like I have to. I am considering them only because of the seamless apple integration and their mic quality for calls. Are there any earbuds better than AirPods in the similar price range? Also, how is the sound profile?
My current earbuds are nothing 2, they don’t switch seamlessly between my MacBook, iPad and iPhone. Probably because apple doesn’t like it.

Hi all,
I've noticed most of my games are won by chem baron at the moment. Definitely not every time but I am becoming frustrated with the fact that the chem baron team hitting a perfected item seems to be an auto top 4 and a lot of times a 1st. It feels like if the chem baron player plays correctly, especially if they hit an early crest, they are very likely to do well and there isn't much the lobby can do. Is this just me or is anyone else experiencing this?
I am Emerald 1, so I'm a decent player but its possible chem baron isn't as strong in higher elo lobbies.
