Hey everyone,
So, I’m officially part of the unlucky but elite club of guys who have fractured their penis. About 6 weeks ago, my girlfriend and I were in the middle of what I’d call a very enthusiastic session when I heard the pop. If you’ve read about it before, I can confirm—it’s real, and it’s terrifying. Right after, I lost my erection instantly, and pain set in almost immediately. There was swelling, bruising, and a general sense of oh sht, this is bad. My dick looked like I had a coke bottle of blood on the side of it😖
I wanted to cry so bad but tears wouldn’t come out lol. We didn’t waste any time and rushed to the ER. The doctors took one look and fast-tracked me for surgery. I became the ER special exhibit for the time I was there lol I had to show my Johnson to so many doctors and nurses. I’m sure it’s quite a medical curiosity to witness. Less than 12 hours later, I was in the OR getting things patched up. They confirmed it was a 3cm tunica albuginea tear, and thankfully, no urethral damage. If you ever want to make yourself queasy look up penis degloving surgery….yeah it’s as terrible as I looks and feels worse. But thank God for anesthesia and pain meds. I was discharged the next day with pain meds, instructions to rest, and a strong recommendation to avoid any activity for a while.
I’ve been lurking in this sub, trying to get as much info as possible about recovery and long-term outcomes. So far, healing seems to be going well—minimal curvature, no issues with urination, no major loss if length, and no scary surprises (knock on wood). But I want to make sure I do everything right to minimize any long-term side effects like ED or Peyronie’s. My urologist said PD is definitely a possibility in the future but we just have to monitor is closely and hope for the best.
Figured I’d share my experience for anyone curious or going through something similar since I was only able to find a few people who had shared their experience. Also, I can finally laugh about it a little, so if you have questions, fire away!

My ex broke up with me suddenly, the day after I told him that I had a miscarriage/chemical pregnancy. It's been about two and a half months since, give or take. At first we were no contact, then we broke no contact to go to couples counselling where he told me he just wanted to be friends. I gave it some time and thought, tried to pursue a friendship where there was still the possibility where we could work things through... ultimately, a friendship didn't work and now it's back to no contact.
He was adamant the break up had nothing to do with the miscarriage. I truly cannot say if it was related. There were issues that we had previously agreed to go to couples counselling for, which never came to fruition.
The thing I've realized over the last few days is that someone who supposedly loved me and cared for me wouldn't have done that while I was vulnerable like I was (and in some ways, still am). Regardless of what his reasoning was, it's simply wrong to do that to someone you care about. Especially when you have spent the last months of the relationship telling that person that they are your other half, that you want to marry them, have kids with them, spend your life with them...
It's hard to wrap my head around it. I feel as if the person he is now is a stranger compared to the person I was so deeply in love with. It hurts. It's confusing. I still miss the man I loved, but I don't miss the person who hurt me so deeply and left me when I needed my partner the most. I have a lot of grief, a lot of anger, and a lot of pain.
I'm just looking forward to the day when it stops feeling like this. Part of me is scared that day will never come.
