Back story: Been in the market for a subaru outback wilderness. Really tall so I wanted without the moonroof and that's the only upper trim model that it's available without.
Live in an area with several dealers within an hour radius and finally found a dealer that would request one for me in a color I wanted. We had some back and forth and finally agreed on a price. I sent an email saying "I'm officially requesting a Subaru Outback Wilderness at an OTD price of whatever they said and that it is variable based off taxes and tradeins"
Got a reply "On it" and thought we were rolling. A week later I was in the area and stopped by the dealer. I was in the car that would be a trade in and wanted them to look at it to verify the amount. He also took a photo of my license to help with the financing part and speed things up. Ended it with "How we looking? Next week?" and he said "I hope so. I have one and I have a backup just in case."
Keeping in mind that I never actually signed anything or gave a deposit (Even though I asked if I needed to do either.) The guy said don't worry about it which I thought was weird but maybe he's been doing this a long time and felt I was trustworthy.
This week comes along. Still no word from the dealer. Tried calling. "We'll tell him you called" Even sent an email on Wed saying "Hey, just checking to see how we're looking?" and I feel like maybe I've been abandoned.
Outside of making a 2 hour round trip up to the dealer, anyone here have advice? Should I just move on and try with a different dealer? Haven't signed any paperwork or paid any money so outside of the "I'm officially requesting email" there's nothing legally binding. I just really had my eyes set on this one and now it's not going to happen it seems.

So we’re just finishing season 1. Her fave was originally Nina for the first few eps and then it became Alfie (agree) although she did clarify that he’s just the character she finds least annoying.
We both love Corbierre and Victor.
She really does not like Mara which, I still quite liked her in season 1 but I suppose she has future vision. And she finds Patricias voice really annoying and hates when she talks about joy.

2025.02.01 19:51 Right_Entertainer324 Knowledge Domain saved my life
Surprisingly, this isn't a bait title XD. I've been (trying to) play through the game as a Tav I've really fallen in love with, Qelroth, but I've had no end of issues, leading my current playthrough technically being Qelroth V. Be it by some weird bug or another, likely caused by mods, idk. From invisible guards trying to start a conversation outside Moonrise, to fully disabling control of Tav heading to the Rosymorn Trail, there's been no end of issues that I've thankfully managed to sort.
Just recently, I came across a kinda nasty bug with Myrkul. For whatever reason, not only did he have his Legendary Action in Tactician, which allows him to cast his Ray of Fear when he's attacked once per turn, for some reason, if he managed to Fear someone when he was below half health, he completely disabled that character from doing anything, softlocking me. So I kept reloading and trying to figure out what the fuck I could possibly do to try and counteract that, as, to my knowledge, on Protection from Evil and Good prevent Fear, and that was not only a Concentration spell, but only affected one target. And I simply didn't have the spell slots to run around from ally to ally trying to guess who Myrkul was going to try and Fear next.
It wasn't until I spent 10 minutes going through Shadowheart and my Tav's Spellbooks, both being Clerics, that I noticed the Calm Emotions Spell. Both Shadowheart and Tav had it, but Shadowheart's wasn't memorised, so she couldn't cast it, as you can't reorder spells from your Spellbook in combat. But my Tav is a Knowledge Domain Cleric, Calm Emotions being a Domain Spell, as Spell I always just sorta looked at and went 'Eh, I can count on one hand how many times I fight a Barbarian', thinking all it did was prevent a target from Raging.
But not only does it prevent Rage, Frightened and Charmed, but it's also an AOE. So I could now buff me, Shadowheart, Minthara and Wyll all at once, then pop Sanctuary and just not do anything aside from throw potions at people and cover Minthara with Sanctuary to allow her to leave the Bone Chill aura to be healed, and never be at risk of becoming Frightened. All because of a Spell I'd always overlooked, on a Subclass that's probably the least used in the entire game.
So shout out to the Knowledge Domain. Literally saved my ass from being softlocked by Mumm-ra's fat cousin.

It’s 2nd in my series of “These Were Meant to be Christmas Presents But Now They’re Birthday Presents” series. I wanted to make the chest pouf a bit fluffy, so experimented (on another piece of fabric) with using Velcro to slightly fluff the cross-stitches. I liked it on the test, but it feels weirdly inconsistent, almost stripey, to me here. I’m going to go ahead with stitching the rest and see how I feel. I might go back and add another layer of a single thread to make it fluffier? I also considered doing turkey work on this front chest floof… but my experiments in doing that SUPER failed — I’m just not dexterous enough yet with the needle. Anyway, suggestions welcome! P.S. Eu (22H), apesar de ter um carro apelidado como "meu", fruto de uma herança há 4 anos de uma mãe muito cansada de ir no supermercado, não tive que cuidar dos reparos dele. Meu pai direto dirigia com ele, por às vezes ficar na frente do carro dele na garagem. Por muita gentileza, esse nobre homem esteve fazendo a troca do óleo do carro. Até que ontem chegou o fatídico dia em que eu, mero aprendiz no jogo da vida, recebi a missão de estar realizando a manutenção.
Como não entendo nada de carro, e seria minha primeira vez trocando óleo, fiquei com medo de me passarem a perna. Consegui combinar de meu pai ir junto. Após três minutos de rua, cheguei ao destino e estacionei o carro na plataforma elevatória.
Meu pai recebeu ligação e teve que se ausentar logo quando estacionei. Depois de conversar com os jovens trabalhadores gentis que salvam vidas mecânicas diariamente, começariam as cirurgias eletrônicas no meu querido Argo branco. Eu estava confiante e tranquilo, achando que a pior parte já tinha acabado (afinal, já tinha passado pela vergonha de não saber abrir o capô do carro e ser ensinado pelo mecânico). Até que ouvi aquela pergunta:
- O senhor vai descer do carro?
Meu pai ficou fora do carro, mas foi porque ele estava tendo que conversar no celular, né? Não perdi muito tempo e confirmei que ficaria no carro. O rapaz não pareceu estranhar minha resposta e foi mexer na plataforma.
De repente, o carro começa a subir. Coço a cabeça. Achei que a troca de óleo fosse um procedimento simples e rápido, sem precisar disso. Bom, que mal deve fazer, né?
O carro ficou mais alto que qualquer rapaz ali. Naquele momento, a vergonha começou a subir à cabeça. Será que estava tudo bem? Será que meu peso não atrapalharia a máquina? Será que era para eu ter descido do carro?
Pensei em abrir a porta e pular, mas notei que a plataforma tava subindo ainda mais. Pular agora seria ainda mais vergonhoso. Mas eu também não tinha mais coragem de ficar vendo o rosto daqueles trabalhadores que com certeza não me queriam pesando a plataforma deles.
Com vergonha, fiz duas coisas. A primeira é fazer cara de indiferente e fingir que já vivi umas 10 vezes o mesmo procedimento, do começo ao fim. Nada me surpreendia. A segunda coisa foi deitar o banco, principalmente para me esconder dentro do carro e ninguém me olhar. Ali eu estaria a salvo.
Enquanto decidia tudo isso, a plataforma continuou a subir. Chegou tão alta que achei que estava em um brinquedo de um parque de diversões. Exceto que estava numa oficina mecânica, mexendo com quem já estava cansado de trabalhar.
Em pouco tempo, a plataforma parou e começaram a mexer no carro, que passou a chacoalhar para a direita e para a esquerda. O que estavam fazendo? Uma simples troca de oleo exigiria tanto trabalho? Será que estavam roubando minhas peças?
Não tinha como ver, e não sabia se meu pai estava lá. Rezei pedindo que não roubassem nada, tendo como única testemunha da oração o carro que balançava. Pelo menos estava feliz porque, se o carro fosse deslizar para trás da plataforma, eu ali em cima poderia ligá-lo e fazer uma manobra. Era uma chance de 0,1%, mas era o que me ajudava a sentir menos vergonha.
Talvez tenham se passado uns 5 minutos quando o carro voltou a descer. Ao chegar ao chão, outro rapaz me perguntou qual óleo usava no motor. Ri de nervoso e congelei. Pensei naqueles nomes estranhos que eram mais difíceis que um kanji de japonês e, depois de refletir muito, falei:
- Desculpa, não sei.
Não sei o que passou na cabeça do meu pai enquanto via seu filho sendo levado ao teto dentro do carro. Mas sei que, de alguma forma, o clima não ficou constrangedor. Voltei para casa tendo feita minha primeira troca ao óleo. Se posso trazer um aprendizado para vocês, é:
Se um atendente te perguntar se quer sair do carro, em 9 de 10 vezes, saia.
