I am originally from England but have recently moved to Canada all on my lonesome. To be honest, COVID really hindered my social skillsand I haven't really made any new friends since. I'm feeling an emptiness in my life where I want to find joy again and adventure with people again.
I'm looking to strike a special connection with someone during these gloomy times in hopes that something good can come from this. I'm looking for a friendship to start with and the potential that it could grow into a relationship if we spark off good.
I love adventure & exploration. As an aspiring vlogger, I backpack across exotic lands documenting history, culture, politics and people. I take particular interest in haunted, paranormal or abandoned places. Or unusual locations people don't know/avoid/fear.
To be honest with you, I'm a fairly introverted, though that doesn't mean I am socially inept. What I am looking for is someone who can be a bit assertive/dominant, someone who can help me out of my shell every now and then. I would love to even just call/chat through Discord; play games; stream shows, anime or cartoons; and even meet up if it goes right!

I hate doing taxes, I am IT and I hate accounting. It's that time of year again and I am not sure if I'm able to "claim" my home office. I am a government contractor and I do work from home as all my federal building have been sold during the covid era. Basically, since I'm a contractor and work from home full time, can I write in any deductions for my home office?

We're using Airtable to track expenses for our different programs (here's a simplified version of the base). We have 3 possible fields for each program we run programs:
- "Branch" (e.g. preschool, youth, adult programs)
- "Programs" (e.g. summer camp, vacation week camp)
- "Option" (e.g. X summer camp, Y summer camp, Z summer camp)
But since not all programs have an "Option" I'm looking for a way to have the staff first select the "Program" and then have a single select with limited choices available based on the "Program" selection. Is this possible?

2025.02.01 22:02 lm7991 [PC] [Early 2000s] RTS very similar to Age of Empires, possible clone.
I'm trying to remember this game I played years ago when I was way younger. It played almost identically like age of empires from what I remember, you had different civilizations, I remember playing the Egyptians, you can choose teams if you want and the color of your faction etc., which made me think it was an early installment of the series. The issue is that from what I remember the art and design of the game's menus don't match any of the earlier age of empires or their expansions from what I've seen. I want to say the art of the main menu and the menus to setup skirmish battles and what not was heavily Romen-Greco themed. You had a large pillar on the left-hand side of the screen (sort of like the Return to Rome main menu found in AoE II Definitive. A huge difference I remember for a fact was that the pop-up menus for different settings didn't have that bright-yellowish background rather they had a blackish background, but they were translucent. I know that it isn't a whole lot of info but it's been really bothering me the last couple years and I just want to know if its just an AoE expansion I forgot or a completely different game.

I currently go to IRMS and I’ve had a pretty good experience here. Will be starting IVF within the next few months and I just read that IRMS success rate is 70% and RMAs success rate is 84%. To me that’s a huge difference and why I’m thinking of switching clinics. But would like to hear from others first

First 3d printer I've owned thus far. Had some good times before getting my blob of death. Unfortunately my blob of death appears to have been the final boss of blobs of death. The heating element was damaged, the housing was damaged, the side fan was damaged, and in my attempts to repair what I could, I undoubtedly damaged other parts of the housing.
I know I can buy and replace each part one by one, but I've been so busy lately and it doesn't appear that Bambu just sells a complete toolhead (ie as what comes in the box when buying the printer), is there any alternative that I've missed to just replacing each part? I know 3D printers require maintenance and to do these things and that's well and good but I won't have the time to work on this for quite some time and would like to get back to printing what I need to, until then.
