The advertising for the S25 really made it seem like you can do a lot more complex tasks with Gemini, and while this is true to an extent, it is just shy from being a great assistant. This will delve into both Gemini and Gemini Live pro or whatever, from the free 6 month trial.
So I start by giving it my specific location, usually a hotel that I am "currently" at. From there, I ask it for something to do in the morning within walking distance from my hotel. It gives me a location. Sometimes, it will ask me "do you want me to add it to your map / notes?". I say yes, the it counters itself by saying "currently I can't add it to your map".
As someone who likes to travel and will travel soon, not being able to do this basic task is such a buzzkill. I'd even compromise and ask it to make it a note, but it just won't do it. Now, the regular Gemini AI will make it a note for you, but not the live conversational version. Worse off, you cannot edit or add to notes from there. I'd love to be able to prompt it "Give me an itinerary for the day, send it to my notes, and organize it in a simple to read way. Also, provide ideal time range for each event".
If they make better app integration with Gemini and Maps / Notes, this could be one of the best travel companions ever. While it's still quite good at doing this already, there's still a lot more it can do.
The tasks that Samsung advertised made it seem more complex than it is, but reality is that they are still incredibly simplistic tasks.
The AI did tell me it does plan to expand these features to allow for use with Maps and Notes, but I have no idea when that will be. I just hope they can add that soon.
Please make it so Live Gemini feature can proactively save and pin locations to my map.
Random thought too, would be cool if the AI could scan an existing note and automatically create a google maps route. These are actual time saving tasks what would be beneficial to tons of people, not the half baked stuff that was advertised.

I canāt believe how awful the drivers in Airdrie are. Iāve lived in three cities with populations of 10 million plus and never seen the stupidity I see in Airdrie. Cast your vote for the dumbest driver Iāve seen in Airdrie this week:
Driver 1. The daily (probably hourly) moron who needs to save four seconds by getting into the right lane on first avenue, west bound, at Main Street (which is a right turn only lane) and proceeds to go straight, almost hitting a vehicle turning left head on.
Driver 2. The morons on Main Street who need to go less than 30 KM/H on every curve (this would include 30% of Airdrie drivers).
Driver 3. The moron who has to switch lanes by using blinker, changing lanes, then checking to see if itās safe. At least this idiot uses a blinker.
Driver 4. The moron who drove 4 KM/H (thatās not an exaggeration!!!) the ENTIRE way on Yankee today between the 7-11 and Main Street with no one in front of him.
Driver 5. The moron, who for no apparent reason, comes to a FULL stop before train track and waits there for 3 seconds before proceeding. No, there was no train coming, and this lady was driving a Toyota Camry - not a commercial vehicle.
Driver 6. The moron who is so impatient that he pulls onto the oncoming lane IN A PLAYGROUND ZONE during the day to whip past the car in front of him at over 100 KM/H. Reminder, in a playground zone during the day.
People here donāt know when to drive faster, when to drive slower, when to be more cautious, or how to follow basic rules.

I just got Sony WF-1000XM5 headphones and they work flawlessly with my windows laptop and iPhone, but they do not show up when trying to connect to my PC. All other bluetooth devices work with the PC. Windows is up to date, already did a factory reset on the headphones. It is an AM4 system with an x570 gaming edge wifi motherboard (onboard bluetooth, no adapter).
What could be causing this?

2025.02.02 00:48 Theswweet PSA: DLDSR now works with DSC enabled on RTX 5090 (presumably 5080, too)
So this is a niche usecase that I think I'm the first to really mention; back when I had a 7900XTX, I loved to use AMD's own version of DSR to supersample games that were older, that the card was overkill for. When I swapped to a 4090 I was surprised to discover that nVidia's display header limitations meant that I couldn't actually take advantage of that; I could only run one of my 3 4K/160Hz monitors with DSC, and it was a major headache whenever I tried to use my PSVR2 for PCVR. This is because even the 4090 was limited to 4 internal display headers, and DSC connections used two instead of one. The icing on the cake is that DLDSR was completely incompatible with DSC active.
Fast forward to earlier this week, installing my 5090. It hasn't been documented yet, but the display header situation is much different. I can use all 3 of my displays with DSC, and presumably this means that using a PSVR2 for PCVR will be much less of a headache.
More importantly: DLDSR is now supported with DSC connections. This is huge, because while a 5090 is overkill for a lot of games @ 4K, especially older ones, I can now supersample 6K to get perfect image quality. Games like Sonic X Shadow Generations run perfectly at 6K/120 internally; I've got Dragon Quest III HD-2D on my backlog, but Octopath Traveler II - which is on the same engine - runs at 6K/120 without breaking a sweat, either.
I highly doubt most folks have run into this issue before, or even knew it existed. For me it's probably the biggest upgrade coming from the 4090 and I couldn't be happier!

Like, I get it, Naruto learned some fundamentals that he was lacking in the time skip. But Kishi could have given us a little bit more. Like there's no reason to wait until the end of Shippuden for Naruto to learn one handed rasengans in base form. Why not just give him one handed rasengan's at the beginning of Naruto. He could have also given Naruto minor but still cool things, like maybe not needing to weave hand signs to do shadow clones but he mastered the jutsu like Itachi. I don't know, what do you guys think?

Iām just out of college and Iām a field engineer I for a huge Inc. (Iām in the renewables sector). Although Iām glad I got my foot in the door, and expect to gain lots of time/experience here. Iām hoping that thereās a permanent location job that I can find using this experience. Iām not worried about the hours too much as Iām worried about changing location, even if itās a few years the fact that Iām never going to have a permenant home scares me, even if itās an apartment I donāt care. I donāt think Iāll be able to handle constantly moving even if itās long term work. Is there any options for me.

As far as Iām concerned, I get the feeling itās a sort of Wizard of Oz situation. Thereās no real board, itās just the people weāve already seen in charge of things at Lumon: Natalie herself, Helena, that big dude thatās usually with Helena whose name I forget, James Eagan. The main thing that makes me think this is how in season 1, the board says to Cobel through Natalie that theyāll talk to her at the party, and then at the party thereās ostensibly no one of note there whoās not just the already known top brass. That and Natalie being seemingly okay with taking some initiative of her own when speaking for āthe boardā, which would make sense if sheās actually serving as the frontman of the board and also is a part of it. Why create this fiction when theyāre already in charge at Lumon anyway? Well, just like in the Wizard of Oz, all of the mystery and spectacle is just a way to give themselves more weight and mystique, and also to deflect attention from themselves, as a way to limit the chances of getting their control challenged. Youāre less likely to be the target of a coup if people think youāre just a goon running errands for a mysterious and powerful group pulling the strings from behind the scenes.

Hi guys! I've had my account for more than 15 years, but it was always me buying stuff. Recently, I had an action figure that I want to sell, so I created my first listing ever.
I already have a buyer, but this person tells me the listing only offers deliveries for local buyers. I'm in Ireland, and the buyer-to-be is from the UK, not even 2 hours away from here, but eBay only offers delivery to people in the Republic.
I've tried everything I could, from selecting different services and tracking their fees in every website, to selecting only UK as the delivery option, but the buyer, and now more people interested, keep finding that shipping is only available for Ireland.
Is there anything I'm missing? I've tried many newbie tutorials on YouTube, but none seem to talk about this specific issue, nor any website I checked. What should I do here?

I had posted here awhile ago about him coming back. I got into a new relationship, and after maybe a month, my ex tried contacting me on all social media platforms he had access to, and my phone number. I ignored all advances and proceeded to block him on everything. He seemed like he thought he was entitled to me responding, and entitled to a conversation. He simply said he wanted to talk and left it at that.
Now I have been struggling with wondering if blocking was right. Morally, for who I am, it had been feeling petty. Itās out of character for me because I usually try to be kind and open and accepting, and to shut down, block, etc. felt wrong. Itās also very important to mention that the thought of seeing him in public fills me with anxiety. When I see someone resembling him, my heart sinks, my breathing gets faster and I am just overran by anxiety. My hands shake. So, I wanted to express that thereās no hard feelings by unblocking him. It would fit my morals, and also hopefully help alleviate some of the anxiety I get by knowing I did the ārightā thing in my mind.
However, I hadnāt made up my mind about unblocking. I unblocked him on one platform and honestly forgot about it, since Iām busy. Until I was online a bit ago and saw he sent me a message earlier this week that I didnāt see. He essentially claimed me unblocking was to stalk him and suggested that Iām focussing on him rather than my current relationship.
This made me angry and finally solidified that I need to keep him blocked everywhere. The real kicker is that thereās no reason he should know I blocked and also unblocked him, as we never even followed each other on the platform. The only reason I knew he was there was because of a friend suggestion that this app decided to email me, since he was still in my contacts at the time he made the account. So, to know this, he had to search for me. The only way to know Iām in a relationship is also by stalking my accounts.
I feel a lot of things right now. But is it my fault that he reacted in such a confrontational way because I unblocked him? Is unblocking really that suggestive? I feel like heās projecting at this point and filling in the blanks to something he hopes is true, that Iām still fawning over him while with a new partner. Completely untrue, because my new partner treats me like gold, and I love him more than anything.
Itās just frustrating, and it makes me wonder if itās narcissistic. It also makes me wonder how far heās going to take monitoring me
