If one of my crew wants to go stealth and steal something that is out in the open while our bard distracts with a performance, does sleight of hand matter? I want Shadowheart to take a potion from a table out in the open of the main Act 1 village. I had her put on a ring that increases stealth and sleight of hand, but not sure which really matters in that setting.

I struggle with sick days because I'm scared to ask my boss for one in the event that she'll fire me for it. Today, I have suicidal ideations and I want to vomit and I keep coughing (possibly somatic symptoms of my depression and PTSD).
I know that mental health isn't taking seriously and often employers will say that it's the employee's fault for not being able to work due to mental health despite it being a chemical imbalance in the brain (therefore a physical ailment).
I can honestly say that If I come to work today, I might faint or end up in the hospital with a burn-out. I'm worried for my well-being and I know that I have a duty for the hotel but I need to take a day off today...
I really need this job though. I really don't want to get fired for this and I have a few write-ups from mistakes in the past and I really wonder what you would do or communicate with your boss that you can't come in?

Took my son to a lgs to show him what their all about and ask about some cards and when they play the game and what not. Saw a prismatic evolutions ETB and got excited as I haven't been able to find even a booter pack for my son and I to open and I asked them how much and they told me $135! What. The. Fuck. Well I won't be back to that shop and I found another shop in the next town over and I'm gonna take my son there on Sunday and we're gonna build him a deck and see if we can build me one too and play. Hopefully this shop has better prices and selection.

2025.02.01 21:41 Prudent-Buy409 moved house and my senior dog is really confused
Hi everyone
I have two dogs that are 18 in April. Same litter. One (female) is still cognitively there, but arthritic. The other (male) is less arthritic but has lost most of his senses (smell, sight hearing).
Unfortunately I had to move from my house (with backyard), that I own and where my dogs have lived (and therefore are familiar with in their old age) for the last 6 years, to renting a small apartment.
My male dog was already starting to have a hard time at the old place, bumping into things, pacing, not settling etc. I knew moving would be the worst thing for him, but I really had zero choice in that. It has been a traumatic 6 months for me and I needed to get out.
Since moving to the new place, as expected he has zero idea where he is. He is constantly pacing, bumping into everything, he won't sit on his mat or next to me on the lounge. The other is fine.
I have two problems:
- I cannot leave them (particularly him) alone here.
At my old house they knew where they were, I left them in the same spot when I'd gone out, it was routine. Granted I tried not to leave them as much as possible, but it was okay if I did.
- Toileting
Every morning (early - 5/6am) I wake up to him whining at the barrier because he has gone to the toilet and can't find his way back to the mat in my room (it's about 2m away). I pick him up and put him back on the mat but he just gets up and wanders again. over and over again. I know I sound silly, but I really need to sleep. I have had such disruptive sleep over the last 6 months, my body is tired, my mind is tired, and the no sleep has started to affect me deeply. I feel like I can't take my sleeping pills (Seroquel) because if I don't wake up early enough, he will have spent hours whining, lost, confused which I imagine is stressing him out.
He also makes a mess. This morning he must have stepped in poo and I could see how much he was pacing from the poo paw prints. There was poo on the walls. The smell is awful and it's right outside my room. I have all the windows open 24/7 but it only does so much. It's a small space. The whole place smells. So then I don't invite people over, because I'm conscious of how bad it smells in here. I'm extra scared because it's a rental, I'm not used to being a tenant, I'm scared I am going to ruin the floors and/or that the smell is going to be noticeable upon inspection. I can only mop so much so I don't ruin the floors (hardwood).
to be honest the mess is also getting to me. I came from a really messy, chaotic environment and now I crave cleanliness, order, clarity. I don't feel clean and I'm constantly cleaning up his accidents if I don't watch him and put him on the grass during the day. When I don't feel clean I won't eat - yes, this is besides the point and something seperate I need to sort out, but this situation is making it a lot worse.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can leave them (not all day) without stressing him out? And stressing me out so I can go out and relax rather than worry about what I might come home to? and for their toileting at night? is there a better option, way? is there a magic cleaning product I dont know about to help with the odour?
I don't even know what I am asking for here, I'm stressed, he's stressed, I left a highly stressful situation only to face more stress. I have spent the last two years dealing with anticipatory grief and it breaks my heart to watch them go downhill.
I don't know how to judge his quality of life - I see the vet monthly, she comments on how good they are for nearly 18. He is definitely not a bad dog, he is just confused, and he is confused because I moved house. He has no idea where he is, but I did that. As I write this post, I'm crying and he's pacing. I don't know what to do but it is really taking a toll on me.
My other dog is fine - just a bit arthritic.

Wanted to get it off my chest. An update from my previous emotional post. I wanted to write this with a clear mind. Thank you everyone for your supportive help in the previous post.
I personally have extremely painful periods, not irregular but painful. I haven't been diagnosed with anything and the doctors just waved it off as oh just regular pain.
I love kids, I love playing with them and being near them but that is it. I know that I don't want to go through the childbirth or even take care of my own baby. I like the kid as long as they aren't crying or being bratty. I know I got no patience.
But somewhere in the future maybe just maybe I'd want to adopt, but I don't know as of now. I stand by this, and not wanting to get married from the past 5yrs or so. However, my asian parents think I'm too young (28F) to make decisions like this by myself and that I'm being immature.
My AM recently told me I have no reproduction rights until I'm 40. And she also revealed that they have taken me to get a fertility test when I was younger in my teens in the pretext of my period pain.
I am absolutely disgusted by my own body and my own parents for doing this and even saying stuff like or even thinking about my rights to be in their hands. I'm trying to move away from them and not let them interfere in my life.
The worst is, the thought of having sex and having something pushed inside me down there makes me close to having a panic attack. I don't despise the thought of dating a man or a woman but just the thought of intercourse and childbirth throws me into a panic.
Before anyone asks or assumes, no I have never been SA'ed or had anything related to that. I grew up in a dysfunctional family saw how my parents relationship was. I also growing up saw about 90% of the women I'm surrounded with only stayed because of kids and they wanted kids hence they married a man.
AM clearly stayed because she had two kids and AF clearly stayed because he had a free maid, sex maid and a free will to continue abusing AM mentally, emotionally, financially, a little physically, sexually (forcing himself without protection and shit) and a fake societial defination of family man fame.
Let me tell you my AM is absolutely against adoptions (she believes that adopted kid will always be a stranger and will never take care or tolerate their parents unlike the blood child) and is totally trying to gaslight me into thinking that the 9 month pregnancy is the only thing and it will go by fast. When I asked her, 'what about after birth, what about my health and the baby?'
She asked me back, 'what about it? You'll be fine and if you don't want the baby then just give it to me I'll raise them.'
Honestly, in alternative timeline, if I ever do go though childbirth then I would like to raise my own kid. And definitely not give the kid/s my APs. I do NOT wish to destroy one more life than two already destroyed.
