2025.02.01 21:50 Dario_Torresi My Personal Story

My Personal Story This is not intended as proof or evidence for the concept of reincarnation. I have no desire to persuade anyone to view life through this lens. My perspective on Reincarnation is uniquely mine. However, I wish to share memories that I know stem from beyond this current life. I recall the time "before" I entered this world. I have memories—not mere flashes, but vivid recollections lasting several seconds—of desolate landscapes, as well as futuristic environments, magnetic metal cubes in the middle of the ocean. Liminal spaces, poolrooms and backrooms.
Throughout my life, I have practiced meditation from the age of three, honed my physical self through karate (achieving Black Belt First Dan in Wado-Ryu), and nurtured my mind with countless books on philosophy and diverse subjects. These practices gradually intensified my visions and feelings about the time "before." As I dreamt more frequently, memories of my past lives began surfacing during my waking hours. My mother often told me of my childhood dreams featuring the Buddha (I still possess the drawings I created at ages four and seven), and I vividly remember dreaming of him. But here is the interesting part of my journey.
One day, when i was 8, i encountered three native indigenous americans, Sioux, Dakota e Lakota, if i remember correctly. I touched their hands (i still remember the feeling) and we danced in circles, with me hand by hand and covered in feathers with some real indigenous.
I delved then into the study of Alchemy—comprehensively. I explored Occidental, Oriental, Daoist, Sufi, Chinese, Indian, Arabic, Turkish, Greek, Italian Alchemy and more. The knowledge I sought was a reminiscence of an ancient life I had lived, but we can discuss that further later.
In Daoist Alchemy, there exists an alchemic meditation known as Nei-Dan (Interior Alchemy) and Wei-Dan (Exterior Alchemy). I won't delve into the complete process here, as I have authored books and created YouTube videos on the subject. Essentially, through meditation, one cultivates a germinal embryo in the cinnabar field, enabling the soul to exit the body through the head and experience visions of SUNYATA, the void. The forms within this void are impeccably perfect. During such a meditation, I once again encountered the Buddha. His doctrine, and Plato's one, are to me the highest knowledge ever reached. One negates the soul, one affirms it. One said there is liberation, one said it's eternal metempsycosis.
These experiences gradually revealed to me both future plans and past lives.
I do not view reincarnation in the context of linear time, where one necessarily reincarnates after this life. Rather, I believe that, based on one's level of evolution within the great mystery of existence, one can choose past or future lives. This journey is not governed by sin or reward; it is simply a series of actions, a continuous process of doing together. The attachment to the fruits of actions (as written in the Bhagavad-Gita) creates desires and, therefore as Buddha said, Suffering. To suffer less, we need to desire less.
Some of my memories reside in space. I recall missions to Mars and explorations with Vikings across oceans (as a shaman, a vitki, I am versed in reading runes, tarots, tibetan dices, Yi Ching and Wheel of Medicine).
Among my oldest memories are visions of Earth and other planets, selected by flows of souls. I remember originating from another planet. I remember the fabric of reality itself, an almost electronic, living machinery-like dream generator. And then, I remember a Sumerian city.
On that pivotal day, a voice spoke: "Some images... are like a sort... of memory. Align yourself with universal harmony and recite the spells."
By practicing Aum and Mokuso for hours daily, I then ventured into Lucid Dreaming, Astral Travel, Projection, and many other mystical experiences: like time travel in a dream and fighting against demons with my shamanic drum.
I encountered Poimandres, my inner deity, resembling an Egyptian figure with lapis lazuli skin, surrounded by a mosaic of golden fragments.
Until I turned eighteen, despite my shamanic inclinations, I believed in nothing. Now, at twenty-five, I adhere to four personal principles, as the truth spoke to me through a Comet in the night sky of the 10/8/2018:
  1. Life is a Dream (crafted by a Magician, a cosmic deity, a celestial being that embodies Nature, Collective Consciousness). We are the dreamer (the individual consciousness). Both cannot exist without the other. Therefore, neither truly exists, yet both do. It is the connection between them that exists.
    1. Consciousness is God (in the sense that it creates our reality).
    2. Reincarnation is real.
    3. Magic exists (encompassing Karma, Acts, Attachment, Divination, Presages, Telepathy, "Aliens" (I've been on a Mother Alien Ship and a hyperspace Garage for spaceships, "Astral Projection," different dimensions, Dreams, Arts, Bliss, Poetry, Philosophy, Science, Knowledge, Power, Spells, Bindings, Fate. These are all mere words, but beyond terminology, you ARE Magic. I am here to weave my fate and that of others, to help as best I can. To live, we need to live TOGETHER).
I will share a photo of my personal proof of Reincarnation, followed by the Buddha drawing I created in my childhood. All this was also confirmed by a medium friend of my girlfriend that say that i come from a different planet.
The drawing from 1978 is a sketch from the book "Fairies" by Froud/Lee. I was born in 2000, and that is me on the right side of the image. It's up to you to believe this story, but i guarantee it's all true. I think the drawer of the book inspired himself with live models, and maybe one of them was me. Tell me what you think and if you had similar experiences.
"I have been dead, I have been alive. There is nothing I have not been in. We are both alive and dead, and there is nothing we cannot be in. We are neither alive nor dead. When you have lost everything, the only thing left to lose is yourself." (The Hermetic Nomad, by me)
Thanks for reading.

2025.02.01 21:50 Whiteguy1x Skyrim doesn't get enough credit for all it's weird little dungeons

Just exploring the reach and collecting alchemy ingredients when i came across Harmugstahl, or the weird altmer spider wizard.
Its just a tiny dungeon with spiders and a weird wizard breeding them. Theres a small puzzle and maybe 5 unique voiced lines, but it really makes it memorable.
Skyrim is littered with places like this and I think it's so neat, especially when quests don't send you directly to them

2025.02.01 21:50 Q77U382 jsonb subscripting - index issue

When updating, column['key_example']['1'] = 'a' and column['key_example'][1] = 'a' are the same thing- if 'key example' doesn't exist, it creates an array and places 'a' at the first index in both cases.
How can I make it create an object with the key 'key_example', with the value 'a' instead?
And for the love of god please no jsonb_set- unless it can set that field without turning my entire column to a null value for some ***** reason when the previous key doesn't exist.
Explained visually, I have: ```UPDATE table SET column['key_example']['1'] = to_jsonb('a')```.
I want: ``` {'key_example': {'1': 'a'}} ```
Instead, I get: ``` {'key_example': [null, 'a']} ```

2025.02.01 21:50 Proof-Peanut-7876 From Childhood to a Hikikomori PhD Student

I grew up in the countryside, mostly playing with a few neighborhood friends. I first realized my social awkwardness in kindergarten when I preferred playing alone, worrying my teacher.
In elementary school, I had a couple of friends but barely spoke for a year or two. Coming from a poor family, I never had formal training but was good at drawing and focused well, so my grades were high. I wasn’t disliked, just the quiet otaku kid who occasionally drew for others.
In middle school, I started making friends through academic competition, feeling social fulfillment for the first time. High school was full of smart, hardworking students, so I stayed quiet again but made a few friends. Eventually, I got into a decent university in Seoul.
College was full of volunteer work and AI research, but I barely spoke in my department. Later, I worked briefly in the U.S., which led to a job at a big Korean company. I was social at first but soon became silent again.
Then schizophrenia hit. I had a breakdown at work—screaming, cursing, and needing police intervention. Not long after, I jumped from 12 meters.
Thanks to Korea’s strong healthcare system, I recovered almost fully. Now, I’m doing fine.
Still, thanks to the good image I built afterward, I managed to get into a great company and a PhD program. But almost every day, I think about wanting to disappear.
A few friends in the U.S. want to help me, so l'm considering staying there for a while. I just want to quit everything.
My arms, legs, pelvis, and face-pieced back together after breaking-look normal on the outside, but inside, I'm a mess. The fear of social stigma keeps me pretending everything's fine, and honestly, as long as I act normal, no one seems to notice.

2025.02.01 21:50 RZLM I can offer free homeschooling advice for LGBT families in this climate

I used to homeschool my kids, not K-12, but for a few years. We are an LGBT family. I can offer to talk to families, give advice, for free, if someone is panicked about the anti trans laws, anti LGBT sentiment, and the new official proposal to ban the Dept of Ed (assumedly to go private eventually). I don't really want to type out advice, but I could talk to people on the phone if they need help. I'm in Jax.

2025.02.01 21:50 Icy-Armadillo-3266 Why England is so crazy… schools.

They are insane and teach kids to follow rules and obey authority to the point where you learn not to question things. If an authority figure tells me something I just do it because I’m used to it. It’s also why so many Brits are crazy at uni, chavs, etc. we are so unused to freedom that we don’t know what to do as soon as we finish school.
My school had minor offence system where offences would be recorded on a card (forgetting your trainers for pe or wearing the wrong thing), also school uniforms of girls having to wear knee length skirts and boys wearing trousers, having a school sports kit and swim kit and having to wear tiny scorts in winter. Boys were sent home if their hair was too long or short, that would be taken to court in any European school. Inspections of uniform where we all had to stand in a line. Multiple kids fainted while waiting in lines and not allowed to move. You were taught that you as a child did not have a valid opinion or voice and the adults always knew best and you should obey them rigidly. Why a quarter of the kids at my school were so terribly behaved and why people act out as soon as they are given freedom after school. Also, you get fined if u miss more than 5 days of school in 10 weeks.

2025.02.01 21:50 ek-jj- Ajudem-me a fazer a menor cagada possível ao comprar uma SUV! [Hilux vs XTerra vs ???]

Boa tarde galera, tudo bem?
