She didn’t give me an explanation. It was just a “I don’t know why I lost feelings so quick.”
We agreed that I could come to her city for 3 days and I purchased an Airbnb. It was the worst experience of my life. The anxiety, the fear of the unknown. I fought and I fought. I became so painfully vulnerable. But she said she only had “10%” of a romantic interest in me. That hurt so much. It was pointless to be there. I gave her flowers, I told her we could rebuild. But she’d rather do that with someone else. And I forced myself to stay, because I’m not the type of person to give up so easily.
I don’t know what to do. All of this advice goes in one ear and out the other. I tried talking to people about it. I tried therapy. I can’t possibly think of her with anyone else. I’m forcing myself to stay friends with her and text consistently. I’m about to go to basic training very soon and I’m fearful that I’m going to see her social media afterwards and she’s already replaced me.
