So first off I wanna say, this is a FEELINGS based rant.. my logical brain has taken a vacation due to my upcoming surgery.. and I am in a very dark space emotionally.
I also wanna make it EXTREMELY clear that I LOVE, LOVE the raffle and sponsorship program! and think that's amazing and FAIR, as everyone who enters has equal chance of being picked!
This app has changed my life in so many good ways and helped me so much.
I have Plus because I asked for it for Christmas from my partner (it won't be getting renewed due to reasons financially)
Now here's where I'm laying out MY thoughts and feelings on the variables of pricing and how it can affect some people's mental health when already in a bad space.. Again these are my thoughts and FEELINGS and I am working on not taking these types of things to heart with my therapist, but today I've seen like 4 posts surrounding people getting Plus for life or free and other very small amounts of money and don't get me wrong I'm HAPPY for them! š©·

My and my friends are currently running TOD. We just finished the castle in the sky chapter, and we were fighting the vampire in the courtyard. It keeps trying to charm us, and then bite us to take our HP and deal necrotic damage. After doing this a few rounds, one of my friends asks "So can it turn me into a vampire?" My DM explains that it would have to bite him, reduce his HP to 0, we would have to bury him in the earth, and the next night he would rise as a vampire. After hearing this, me and my party become hyped, because it has taken us 2 hours to defeat this thing, and to play as it would be awesome. So we negotiate with the vampire mid fight and get it to bite my friend and kill him. 30 minutes later we kill the vampire (and yes, I mean kill in the sense that we followed it in most form and locked its casket before it could come back alive, so it's dead-dead). We ended the chapter with the castle crashing into the mountain. The cleric is dead, but we bury him, take a long rest, and at the next nightfall he reincarnates as a lawful evil vampire. Except there's just one problem. As the DM is telling the player his new abilities, bumped stats, etc, he reveals that during daytime he will take a crap load of damage if in the sunlight. We were fighting the vampire at night, and in the 2.5 hour battle we lost our common sense. This can't be reversed, and even if it could my friend won't give up his new class. So at the end of the session we are in a tricky place. We don't know whether we should carry around his casket, or just let him suffer, try and find a loophole, reverse the effect, try and use magic, etc. I suggested we get an umbrella. My dm said that won't work. Any advice for how my friend can keep his super cool add on vampire class without dying in 30 seconds?

Spending more time than usual this winter listening and playing through Bach keyboard works. Find myself questioning some common assumptions and platitudes thrown around when the Bach family name comes up. Just starting a thread here for all your Bach-related piano pet peeves, underrated/overrated comments, and your collective dumb questions that I already know I can't answer.
I'll start with a pet peeve: The andante movement to JS Bach's Keyboard concerto no. 7 (BWV 1058) has the absolutely most disappointing ending of all of his keyboard concerti slow movements. At the end of roughly 5 minutes of some of the most beautiful secular music passages he ever wrote, it just kind of drifts away from its best themes and sounds like he either got bored with it or was just in a rush to finish and do something else more important. Wyd Johann? I needed something to recommend as processional music that isn't Pachabel's Canon and you let me down.

I understand how complicated and emotionally draining domestic situations can be. At first, I genuinely felt bad for her. I sympathized with her struggles and wanted to see her find a way out. But over time itās become clear that she thrives on the sympathy, gifts, and attention she receives from others. It feels like she remains in this situation not because she has no way out, but because she knows that if she leaves the support and attention will fade. Khalie needs serious mental health intervention and until she truly acknowledges that and takes steps toward healing nothing will change. I was rooting for herā¦ I really wasā¦ but after everything that has unfolded over the last few weeksā I just canāt anymore. Iāve been in an abusive relationship myself when I was younger and I had no one to lean on but despite that I found a way out. Khalie on the other hand does have options, she has people offering help, she has an entire support system. Yet she stays... At some point, the choice to remain stuck becomes just thatā a choiceā¦. A choice she has chosen to keep repeating.

I for the last 3 years rocked with s21 base snapdragon model. It suited me well battery is still in good condition, photos are comparable quality to nowaday flagships, performance is great(I don't play games). But I was feeling I needed an upgrade so i purchased a oneplus 13 16/512 global version. Screen is beautiful, battery is great. But my heart fainted when I transfered my photos and none of the live photos transfered. The caller app is worse and overall user experience of oxygen os reminds me of the budget level stuff. The weight while tolerable it is not that comfortable. So I am considering on buying the s25. But I don't know to feel that I get better camers it looks like I need to get s25 ultra bu the thing is big, and the base model might feel like not much of an upgrade. What should I do try to stick to op 13 or move back to s25? Anyone with the comparable experince?

My issue is in torn on who I should get them for. I have a 59 Tamer and 59 drakania (season) My Tamer is a day one My drakania is literally like a week old. My Tamer is more of a project. And the two blackstars would help ALOT. But I enjoy my drakania more then my Tamer. So I'm not to sure what direction I want to go

For most of my life, Iāve been very interested in the origins of the universe and how the laws of the universe work. Iāve recently had these reoccurring thoughts that if I donāt try my best to gain as much knowledge as I can in this field, I wonāt be satisfied with my life. Iām 23 years old, turning 24 this year, and I still have not decided a career for myself. I was in college for a little bit but dropped out after not focusing on my classes as much and realized I was messing up. I was a drug addict from the ages 16-21 (smoking weed daily, taking 900 micrograms of lsd every two months, and magic mushrooms on occasion) but Iāve been clean since December 2022. I havenāt been back to college because I wanted to get my mind back from brain fog and derealization. Because of this, I think the furthest in math I ever got to was Pre Calc, though I donāt remember much about it. I am a fast learner, however, and I have a love for both math and science. Do you think I could potentially have what it takes to pursue a career in Astrophysics or will it be too much due to my lack of experience and exposure with the math involved?
