 | I’ve been holding onto this shiny Mareep for over a year and currently don’t have a set mon for eggs that I’m comfortable investing and leveling up. Originally I thought the nature would be really bad since it’s a skill Mon but I recently heard that nature isn’t as big of a deal as I originally thought. Is this Mareep worth evolving into ampharos, using main skill seeds with and being a main team member for eggs? Eventually will that small skill trigger at level 75 cancel it out? As the title says, I am single handedly frontiering research with chatgpts o3 model and I want you guys to know. For the past couple of weeks, I've been building a chess game in python in a really unintuitive way, and every single bot would just completely fuck my code. Even the ones that code really well would just take turns making my code completely unusable.
I gave it to o3 because its supposed to be a mid-level coder in metrics. Every test I've seen on it has been like "I want you to build and train an ai from scratch to play this really complicated game" and it'll do it after thinking for 4 seconds. I gave it the broken code and literally just explained how it's supposed to work and what I wanted out of it, and it took almost two minutes of reasoning, with internet access on the highest settings possible, to give me my code back working.
I spent a total of six hours just going back and forth like that adding and debugging the features I wanted at 4am where NOBODY was using the server. I probably single handedly cost them thousands, and had that thing reasoning for like 30m. There HAS to be people who came into work today wondering how in the fuck one person used so much processing on a empty server, and found out it was to fix my shitty fucking chess code. They probably thought I was distilling the model or building some insane project.
But let me tell you guys it brings me a lot of pride to know what my code was so goddamn shitty that a simple beginner project took the ai more time to just understand than all of the coding benchmarks I've seen. I truly must be on the verge of something great. I will update you guys when I finish my research. Godspeed

2025.02.01 22:42 Every-Mountain-4636 Trying to decide whether or not to move out of my controlling parent’s place.
For context I’m a 19 year old guy and my parents make roughly $300,000 a year, I don’t pay rent but contribute by helping cook and yard work when I’m not at work or college. They are VERY controlling when it comes to my personal and financial decisions. They have me on something called Life360 that monitors my location 24/7 and notifies them whenever I leave the property and they can keep track of where I’ve gone the whole day. I’m currently working a $11/hr part time job to pay for college ($2000 a semester since my parents make too much for me to be applicable for financial aid) and I make roughly $1000 a month and every month send my mother $100 for my car’s insurance. My dad implemented the habit of doing monthly budgets for tuition, gas, insurance, and other small necesites. Safe to say i end up with some money left. Recently in October I had built a PC for $1400 and was quite proud of it, however upon finding out about the amount that I spent they demanded to see my bank statements and the login information for the account. They went as far as confiscating my cashapp card, bank debit card, a the credit card i had recently gotten to start building credit (with gas expenses the monthly insurance payments.) luckily they had let me keep the PC, albeit begrudgingly, after wanting me to sell it online/pawn it to make some of the money back. But recently, after considering it for a little over a year and a half I had decided to purchase and mesh drum set (I’ve been playing music ever since I was 10) for $300. I had recently finished paying off my two college semesters and sending my mother the $100 for the car, leaving me with roughly $1,300 AFTER buying the drum set. However my father who was out of town with my mom at the time quickly found out (was ratted out by my siblings) and had messaged me, quote: “You need to return the drum set on Monday. DONT even open it because you will return it.” Even after trying to explain why I bought it when I did he said “Son, do not open it. You will return it. We will talk about it tomorrow when we return, this is not a request it’s an order.” I should say that they have mentioned in the past that they would be willing to messed on my restrictions (not being as invasive, letting me go out more, and an extended curfew) in exchange for rent. They would charge me $800, “maybe more” not including utilities. This brings me to considering moving out maybe sometime later this year. However the thought of the process and just how much of a change It is it’s making me reconsider. I’m not too sure what to think, call me entitled, spoiled, or over dramatic but this is just what I’ve been considering. I just feel like I should get an honest, unfiltered outside opinion you know?
