2025.02.01 22:52 hoozyLV This game made me truly realize I have awful spatial navigation skills
I'm about 12 hours in and just got to Royal Waterways and I do have to say that the art-style, music and gameplay mechanics are amazing, finally I can understand why the game is so loved :)
But oh do I get lost all the time haha. Forget vendors and what they sell, in situations where I notice that I will probably need to come back here later, I just internally hope that I remember that something was there and make the mental connection when acquiring some item, ability that would be useful there.
As there were multiple times when I was just wandering around aimlessly and then I randomly stumbled upon a previously impossible area and then it clicked to me that I could use my newfound abilities / items to traverse / access it.
This is my first Metroidvania and I understand that backtracking is big part of the genre, but man I feel like this genre is not for me, will, however, push through this game ;)

Hey. I am curious on people’s thoughts about how many km’s should be hit on average per week when half marathon training? Have a half marathon in May, started training in September but I’m only doing about 21km per week (this is spread over 5k runs, longer runs 8-10k and a speed run) and worried it’s too little. I am going to try up the long runs gradually but still worried about my average distance per week.

I love wrestling from a very young age but I never cared to meet any of the wrestlers in person. I am just in love with the sport not the performers, . Maybe it’s because a mentality that was ingrained in me by my father that all of them are gonna change one way or the other so you don’t need to get too attached, and since then I always saw them as regular people, but on the wrestling show they are my favorite characters to watch, i am just not interested in their personal life at all.
And there’s something he told me that stuck most of them hate meeting fans for good reasons, i am sure but i just never saw the appeal.

I've been on this planet for almost 16 years now and have done nothing with my life. I've spent about 5 years now just being a lazy fat fuck and TRYING to get over it, to actually change it but each time i do it just... Fails miserably. I tried eating less but it would just cause me to eat more later on. I don't even have any good friends anymore, i just get fucked around with by my whole class and I'm not accepted literally anywhere. It's like I'm just useless to everyone.

I very recently got lab results for my thyroid that indicated I have hypothyroidism and was started on levothyroxine. It was unexpected but I have a few different chronic illnesses and lots of chronic pain so I think the symptoms just blend together a lot. My chronic pain flares up frequently but usually calms down in a few days and I have days where I’m okay. Ever since started levothyroxine about 2.5 weeks ago my pain flared up like crazy. I thought it was just my normal flare up but it hasn’t ceased at all and I’ve been miserable and unable to function at all. My fatigue is also so much worse I’m constantly exhausted and no matter how much I sleep or how many naps I take I feel like I’ve barely slept and I have no energy to do anything at all. I’ve been spending most of my time in bed because that’s about all I can do. I know it’s very early on but I’m just absolutely miserable constantly and I want it to end so badly. Is this a common reaction to the medication at first? And if so when does it go away?!?!
