Hi there,
My wife and I are trying to determine if we should see a preparer this year and are wondering if a few questions could be answered about tax software.
Firstly, my wife had partial ownership of her father's home which she and her siblings inherited and sold after his death. She, of course, took her cut as an owner and then of the remaining amount as an inheritor as well as receiving life insurance money (in her name) that was put into the estate account swiftly. How much of a task would it be to declare these things in standard tax software?
Second, we moved from Georgia to Tennessee and don't know about whether there would need to be different filings federally (I know they would have to be separated for state filings) or whether software such as H&R block would allow us to make those distinctions for the state level.
If someone more knowledgeable than I could give us a hand with these questions and reccomend whether we should see a professional that would be wonderful.

2025.02.01 23:58 Apprehensive-Fix-568 What could be behind my cats recently intermittent blind rage?

Hi all,
I have a 7 year old (male, unneutered) moggie that I've had since he was 6 months old. He has always been very affectionate and loving. I've never had any issues with him whatsoever up until the start of November.
I woke up to feeling very sick and projectile vomited about 3 times at around 7.30am. My cat was in the ajescent room, and for some reason this caused absolute blind rage in him and he came and attacked me and wouldn't let go. He attacked for about a 5-10 minutes until I eventually managed to cover him in a blanket and isolate him in a different room.
I was a little scared following this, and let him calm down for about 3 hours while I went and got checked out. By the time I had come back, he was back to his usual self. I took him to the vets and they gave him a quick check over before saying he seemed fine and it was likely fear aggression.
No other issues until about 3 days ago, I woke about 2am to him latched onto my arm in the same state of absolute rage, managed to react quick and grabbed the scruff of his neck and he let go, covered him in the blanket and isolated him again to the rest of the house. He howled outside the door for abojt 20 minutes until he calmed down and his isolation lasted about an hour until he managed to open the bedroom door then came and slept at the foot of the bed like nothing had happened.
I have just got out the shower tonight (same as my usual routine) and going back into the bedroom he had the same behavioural turn again, same as the other night, scruff of the neck, isolated him, he howled outside the door.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing this behaviour? I wondered if it was maybe him not being neutered but also, surely that would have come in much sooner?

We are looking at planning a 2 week honeymoon to Australia which would include a lot of diving. We are also hoping to see some land wildlife like kangaroos and spend time on beaches.
Right now we are thinking of flying into Cairns doing a liveaboard (any recommendations?), then traveling down the east coast stopping in Rainbow Beach, Brisbane, South West Rocks, and finally in Sydney. Likely doing a dive at each of those locations and then flying out of Sydney.
What time of year is best for this trip? Any other thoughts or recommendations on our plan would be really appreciated!! Looking to bus to get around, but not sure if that's possible

I’ve found even the ‘superficial’ encouragement and ‘you can do it!’s seem to work like a charm for me!
I have: - 40-50 pages of academic texts to get through - a test to prep for on Tuesday - concept to read about for a lecture on Monday
Additional (if there’s time) work: - complete coursework for a class - complete a presentation plan for a different class - respond to a bunch of emails
Realistically (or…not - blatant encouragement and positive thinking), could I get this done tomorrow? I have plans to get up at be at a library by 10-12ish, and working until 4-5ish.
I’ve been feeling a little upset and fizzled out lately, but want to start next week right. I know having this stuff off my back will help a lot. So, does this seem doable? Even an honest ‘um…yeah, that’s like a few chapters and some revision lol - nothing compared to x or y that I’m doing’ would help quite a bit.
Also, if anyone’s interested in keeping text updates throughout the day, that would be cool. That way if I grab my phone at least I can text you, and you can tell me to get off and keep working, haha.

Now after 2 days it's still swollen and a bit purple but now I feel pain If I press at the base of my thumb and If I try to extend completely my thumb I can't and I feel pain. My mom and dad say it's just a contusion and they will take me to the doctor if it's still like this for like 2 more days. If yes, I would really appreciate some tips on how to get a (somewhat) realistic and grounded setting. Doesn't even have to be military (I actually prefer other settings), though it's definitely the hardest to get right.
