Hi everyone;
I have what I believe is a simple math question, that I can’t wrap my head around. If someone could please tell me in plain English how the math equation works, it would solve a mystery for me. Thanks in advance!
A marathon runner starts at 100 yards from the finish line. At some point they are 50 yards (explained mathematically as 100/2 = 50) then at a later point that are 25 yards from the finish line (mathematically 50/2 =25). On paper, as the runner moves towards the finish line, they would be at the point found by dividing the remaining distance by 2 over and over.
My question is: On PAPER (figuratively), as you keep dividing by 2, you would keep letting a smaller and smaller number with infinite decimal possibilities, but in REAL LIFE, the runner passes the finish line, and is not stoped infinitely before ever reaching it. How can this be explained in the math equation?
Thank you for explaining this to me as I have wondered about it for over 30 years 😄

Hello everybody. I've been trying for what feels forever to find the cause of this head burn, visited doctors, changed diets, meditated, had cold/hot therapies and nothing helped.
I visited a neurologist, he ran some tests and said that it is all in my head.
I am diagnosed with type c gastritis and at one morning 4 months ago a terrible thing happened. I couldn't sleep after taking an absurd dose of caffeine(not knowing the dosage) and in the morning I got a crazy attack which I can not describe the feeling of.
I had a huge warmth climb from my stomach all the way to the throat, my head started to burn, the heart started to race and I had a huge blood taste in my mouth.
Ever since this day my head has been burning(especially in the back) I often feel a pressure in my head which makes a ringing noise and it is really killing my mental state slowly because I can not do anything about it.
Please share if you've ever had similar symptoms, I would appreciate it a lot, thank you for reading

eu estava tranquilamente usando o computador como de costume, e quando simplesmente eu comecei a digitar e simbolos do teclado apareciam no lugar das letras,, o double click do mouse abria as propriedades do que eu tentava abrir, e quando eu finalmente conseguia digitar algo nao dava pra dar espaço ou qualquer outra tecla. ja reiniciei e nada adiantou, muitas configs do mouse invertidas, o teclado nao correspondendo direito. se alguem souber a causa do problema ou como ajudar ficaria agradecido

I originally applied for the VentureX a few months back when I was prepping for a lengthy trip to Europe. I was quite surprised when my application for the VentureX was denied (never been denied a CC before; ideal applicant).
I called up Cap One customer service and asked what was up with my application. Apparently Cap One has an internal rule where they will not approve two Capital One cards within six months of each other. I had applied for and received my Savor One two months prior.
The customer representative told me to apply for the card “sometime in February” and that I’d be approved no problem. Applied today and was approved—cool to see he wasn’t lying!
The 75K mile sub will be going towards Africa in July 2025!

2025.02.02 02:56 No_Establishment7067 Has anyone thought to take boric acid before/while you’re on antibiotics to clear BV/yeast infection?
For all my girlies out there that have been battling with recurrent BV/Yeast infections, i am in desperate need of advice and guidance. Since October 2024, I’ve been dealing with these issues myself. This will be the 3rd time since then that I’ve gone to the doctor and have tested positive for both BV and yeast. And as you know, I’ve been prescribed another round of antibiotics and diflucan (2 doses). I am very weary to try and do antibiotics again as I’m almost sure that I’ve developed a resistance to them. Back in December i learned about boric acid suppositories and how well they have helped with vaginal issues. I took them for 3 weeks straight in January and they seemed to alleviate the major symptoms i was concerned with - mainly the discharge. However, when i stopped taking them due to my period coming, i noticed after my period was over that the symptoms came back (cloudy urine, vaginal discomfort, and discharge). I’m led to believe that boric acid manages the symptoms of the infection but doesn’t treat the actual infection. However i still think boric acid can be effective if taken the right way. I came across a Tik tok about BV/yeast infections and the woman in the video made a suggestion to take boric acid (7-10 days) before taking antibiotics. She explained that since boric acid is a biofilm disruptor, the boric acid will eat away at the biofilm leaving the actual bad bacteria to become vulnerable and unprotected. You would then want to introduce the antibiotics to go in for the kill for the bacteria. I then recently came up on a Reddit post somewhere that someone suggested taking boric acid whileeeee taking antibiotics. This makes sense and doesn’t seem counterproductive based upon the previous explanation. What’s interesting though is that my doctor suggested that i take boric acid AFTER my antibiotics treatment. I’m unsure as to what to do but I’ve been back on taking boric acid again. This will be my 5th night of taking them consecutively. My plan is to start taking the antibiotics this week while I’m taking boric acid. Has anyone else done this? I’ve done nothing for the past few months but scroll on tik tok and Reddit posts searching for questions/comments similar to mine but never get any clear answers on something like this. Any help, advise, suggestions are appreciated. I’m so over this and have been forced to try out other ways outside of what my doctor keeps prescribing to try and get rid of this annoying double infection. Hope this longgggggg post makes it somebody who can help me.
