I didn't see a vision rehab therapy feed so I'm posting here bc I think it will still be relevant to this crowd. I've been considering pursuing a degree in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy and am trying to ensure it's the right choice for my future since this will be a career change for me. I want to make sure that the degree and occupation are sustainable. I recently saw that ACVREP approved a new certification for Occupational Therapists specializing in vision loss (CVROT), and I'm now wondering how this will interfere with job prospects for folks who are only qualified as CVRTs — that is, ppl who've obtained a master's degree specifically to become a Vision Rehabilitation Therapist/Specialist — and if an education in occupational therapy will ever become the preferred criteria for vision rehab jobs. Anyone have any insight? Admittedly, I'm not very familiar with the history or context here, such as what settings have maybe preferred occupational therapy certification when working in vision rehabilitation or how a traditional VRT background might be an advantage. Our 4 days preterm infant, his eyes and body was getting yellow… so we tested for billRubin and it found 25.3( billrubin unconjugated).. we were quite worried. Immediately admired him to NICU for blue light phototherapy. Next days test it fell down to 12.5. Babys blood group is B+ve as same as mother and father.
So does blood type also plays role for billrubin fluctuations?

I’m taking part in the Cycle Oregon Gravel event this year. First time doing a group ride. I had thought we’d have our vehicles with us but this year you basically ride to a camp spot at the end of each day.
Having never done a group ride, I wonder what do people do as far as bike security overnight? I assume when there’s 300 or so riders, everyone pretty much trusts each other, but curious about other people’s experience and what you did.

I recently upgraded from an RTX 3070 and built my first PC specifically for the 50-series. My main goal was to experience great graphics and ray tracing. I’m a casual gamer, and I play at 1080p 165Hz, which I’m completely satisfied with and have no plan to change.
However, after the upgrade, I’ve been seeing a flood of posts and videos criticizing the RTX 5080, making me second-guess my decision. I personally have no complaints so far, but all the negativity is making me wonder—was this upgrade truly worth it for my use case, or am I good if I just want to game at 1080p?

I bought a new displayport 1.4 cable to replace an old one because the case has slight cracks from moving damage. However, the new one just doesn't really work properly. It shows the start up just fine, but the second the pc gets to the unlock screen, it goes black and never shows anything. I plugged in my old one and it immediately works. Both are supposedly dp1.4.
Could it be that the new cables I bought are somehow just garbage even though spec wise they are the same? I don't get what's causing this black screen.

I have a Westinghouse Roku TV for about 2 years now and it's been perfect until recently. A crackling noise can be heard during specific sounds, music, or even people talking in movies or games. Specifically very noticeable on the Playstation 5 main menu. Almost sounds like a humming but distorted. It is very noticeable and I have never had my speakers volume higher then 9 and it goes 100. Can anyone give me an idea of what is happening? This crackling/humming sound is also always there. Wether I am watching a movie, playing a game or YouTube videos it is always there but only on the right speaker.
