2025.02.02 02:49 mazystar2224 Ranking every antagonist in Poppy Playtime

This chapter has been a ride of good and bad but I personally think these are the best antagonist we have gotten so far with only 1 being a dumpster fire (Pianosaurus). So I wanna rank every antagonist that's ever been in the game. I'm only ranking all 16 antagonist that have been in the actual game throughout the 4 chapters, so character exclusively in the ARG, VHS tapes, or spin offs like, Boxy boo, Leith Pierre, Stella, Eddie, The Prototype. (I know the prototype is technically in the game. But I mean ones that have a level or stage, who've been revealed, and a jumpscare to go with it. But the Prototype would be 5/7th place if I add him to it) I'm including all antagonist wether they are the main antagonist or secondary antagonist. My ranking might be subjective but it's impossible to cater to everyone's opinion. I'm really ranking every antagonist based on how good I think thier character and backstory, and if I like them in the game and thier gameplay.
Ranking from top is the lowest, and bottom being my favorite in the ranking

  1. Pianosaurus - CHAPTER 4:
Look by far the worst antagonist in the game... It's actually sad that he's the lowest but in all honesty I hardly consider him to be an antagonist at all because he doesn't do anything. (It's crazy that the gameplay trailer for the chapter showed off basically his entire screen time.) And for a character who was the first to be teased during the ARG with a lot of build up, just to end up so irrelevant is crazy)
  1. Nightmare Huggy Wuggy - CHAPTER 3
The reasoning for his placement is very similar to Pianosaurus where he has 10 seconds of screen time. But the only reason why he's better is because he was relevant in making the player seem complex by having a fear of Huggy from what happend in the earlier chapters.
  1. Smiling Critters - CHAPTER 3:
Nothing to intreasting... They are with the Prototype and are against us.. They aren't to threatening, but I don't think they are bad or anything.. Just forgettable. I do like the little children laughs they make though. (The Nightmare Critters are better though and I'll explain why)
  1. The Nightmare Critters/Mini Huggies - CHAPTER 4:
I'm putting the Mini Huggies with the Nightmare Critters because they really do the same thing in chapter 4. Basically I feel generally the same towards the Nightmare Critters that I feel towards the Smiling Critters from chapter 3. The only reason why they rank higher is because the Nightmare Critters and Mini Huggies are just so much more relevant in chapter 4. And you'll see them constantly while playing, where as the Smiling Critters only shows up during one section of chapter 3. Another reason as to why I prefer the Nightmare Critters is they have a better game mechanic. And even though they do jump in your face, I prefer you take damage rather than instantly getting a jumpscare as soon as you make contact with them which is why I'm not fond of the Smiling Critters but in terms of character I don't feel anything towards them. (On a side note I wish the Nightmare Critters where introduced to us atleast in 1 VHS tape because if you played the chapter going in blind, you would easily confuse them with the Smiling Critters.)
  1. Bunzo - CHAPTER 2
He's alright. I like his design but he has no backstory or anything, which is gonna be a common thing for the other toys in the list. The reason why Bunzo is this low is purely because his level is the easiest to beat in chapter 2. Which makes sense because he is the first one in the chapter, but that's all I can really say about him.
  1. PJ Pugapiller - CHAPTER 2
I was conflicted in his placement with the Mini Huggies, just because I prefer him more design wise but sad he has no backstory. But his level is really easy to beat because to me it wasn't hard as long as you stopped moving when the lights shut off. (Honestly hope we see what happend to PJ since he was confirmed to still be alive)
  1. Mini Huggies - CHAPTER 2
Bit odd that all three game station levels/stages are ranked back to back on my ranking, but it kinda just shows how easy I felt chapter 2 was, besides the finale boss. The Mini Huggies are fine and as characters they are my least favorite antagonist in chapter 2 since they aren't that unique since they are just small Huggy Wuggies with a new coat of paint. The only reason why I have them ranked this high is because I found thier level to be the most difficult in chapter 2 besides Mommy Long Legs. I had to turn up my brightness in order to win because it was sorta difficult.
  1. Dogday - CHAPTER 3
Dogday was an interesting antagonist since he technically is a protagonist that was possessed. I honestly felt bad for him and what he went through, but he didn't get much backstory which is alright. His chase scene is pretty good and I like how he jukes the player at the end of the chase scene.
  1. Baba Chops - CHAPTER 4
Baba Chops is annoying. And she does a good job at making you stress out while playing. The way she pounces at you when you are trying to redirect the power current to the other cable made me wanna pull out my hair! I won't lie and say she won't become forgettable because I definitely think she will once the next chapter comes out. But I don't care what ANYONE says, Baba Chops did so much more than Pianosaurus did.
  1. Miss Delight - CHAPTER 3
Here we are! Finally, I can talk about the top antagonist in the games to have a decent amount of backstory and chatater rather than being purely obstacles to the player. Miss Delight is very intreasting and I'm invested into her backstory. The fact that she had to kill her sister look alikes in order to survive within the school she was locked in. And she went mentally insane from the isolation is a cool backstory for a secondary antagonist. Game play wise she is the SCARIEST in the game purely from her jumpscare, because it's horrifying. (I think what makes it just so much more terrifying is the scream she makes) Also her level is challenging since constantly having to look at her while traversing the school was difficult.
  1. Huggy Wuggy- CHAPTER 1
The OG. And maybe it's pure nostalgic but I like Huggy. My gripe with him is that he has no real backstory yet. I mean yeah he does have that restricted video on YouTube where it showed him escaping the factory. But it's not a whole lot to go off when it comes to his character. I do like how he acts like he did when the company was still running at the beginning of chapter 1. Pretend to be a statue and then target us when we don't expect it like he was trained to do. And I do like his level even though it's easy once you die a couple of times and memorize it all..
  1. Catnap - CHAPTER 3
Sorry to all you Catnap stans but he's not up there when it comes to being an antagonist. But there are a lot of things I really like about him. He has a real complex backstory and I like it a lot, and I can really sympathize with Theo, even if he wasn't really following the right person I don't blame him since the people running the factory are just as evil. But my real complaint when it comes to Catnap is he's not really that relevant in his own chapter. He only shows up in the beginning of the chapter for a couple of seconds and then we see him again towards the end. But he's not there for a big chunk of the middle, so he doesn't really feel consistent when it comes to being an antagonist in chapter 3. And I don't mind that he doesn't attack the player on the spot like most do since another toy (Mommy) also doesn't immediately attack the player and does a better job at being an antagonist. Also I think another feline cough... (Yarnaby) does a better job when it comes to being more active than Catnap. As for gameplay his level is fairly difficult but it just feels like I'm playing FNAF lol. Another issue I have with Catnap is he's just not scary to me... His main jumpscare isn't really terrifying and his nightmare form isn't that scary either... If I'm being honest and this is no offense to the game designers but Catnap's nightmare form looks more goofy to me than scary but that's my opinion. (But I won't lie that jumpscare in the Counselor's Office scared the living shit out of me)
  1. Mommy Long Legs - CHAPTER 2
I like Mommy a lot! Her backstory is very brief since all we really know about her is her name when she was a kid, and the VHS tape that explained that she experienced violent nightmares in home sweet home. I enjoyed Mommy and I loved how we got to see how her mind slowly started to deteriorate, each time we completed her games (Even though she was wrong for rigging statues) as a character she has by far one of, if not the most personality out of any antagonist. I liked how sweet and passive aggressive she sounded, and how much more diloigue she had compared to a lot of antagonists who don't in this game. And just like Catnap, I liked how she wasn't an antagonist who attacked us on sight, but rather waited, but what makes her better than Catnap IMO is that she doesn't disappear mid-way through the chapter. Gameplay wise her level was decently hard but just like Huggy with the vents, you could beat it once you learnt the rotue after dying a couple of times. (Character in terms of backstory, Catnap is better. But character personality wise, and antagonist, Mommy is better)
  1. Harley Sawyer - CHAPTER 4
By far the best antagonist when it comes to how much lore and backstory he has. The doctor has an entire ARG just about him and he's by far one of the most interesting antagonist in the game. I love his self righteous speeches and how he claims that we as the player are no better and are just being a hypocrite. He's very sinister and definitely a mad man with no empathy at all which is expected. The only reason why he ranks the '3rd' is because he wasn't really threatening during his boss fight.. Yeah don't get me wrong his computer monitor robot clone things you go against look horrifying, but the actual gameplay itself is a let down because his level is really easy to me and I didn't break a sweat playing. Which does disappoint me because he was the antagonist I was looking forward the most within the game.
  1. Yarnaby - CHAPTER 4
I don't care what anyone says. Yarnaby is everything I thought Catnap was going to be and should have been in the previous chapter. And I know this reddit post sounds like I'm trying to bash in the purple cat but I have to talk about how Yarnaby does everything better than Catnap. In chapter 3; Oli/The Prototype says that the play care was Catnap's hunting ground, and that Catnap lives for the hunt. But like I said with my issue with Catnap is that he isn't active in his own chapter. I feel like I'm being hunted by Yarnaby constantly which is something I can't say with Catnap. But besides my rant about Yarnaby being handled better than Catnap, I think Yarnaby's level is the hardest to get through in any chapter, partially due to bugs. But I found it really fun to play regardless. Even though his jumpscare doesn't really scare me. The way this giant rainbow lion runs after me is horrifying as hell. Backstory wise I love it and I love that it hints to him suffering from some type of stockholm syndrome with towards the doctor. I also love how dopey and goofy he looks, like it's kinda hard to tell if he's blind or not when chasing you lol. (The fact that they try to make Catnap look scary with his nightmare form, but he ends up looking goofy in an uncanny way. And somehow they make Yarnaby look goofy in a way that fits is beyond me.) My only real issue with Yarnaby is he doesn't have a personality which I guess makes since because it's stated that he lacks cognitive function, speech, and problem solving in his prison report so I don't really expect him to have a personality like Mommy Long Legs. Another problem I have with him is his death. He gets stuck onto a hook we swing across and he catches on fire... I'm just more so disappointed because all we did was ran. Not pull a lever like we did when killing Mommy, or Miss Delight. It's not as disappointing as Pioanosaurus's death but it could've been better is all, and the last problem which is more like a problem I have with Harley is that I wish the doctor would have said a little more about Yarnaby when he died rather than "Yarnaby isn't my only pet I have." Look I'm not saying I expect Harley to have a shred of a heart in him or anything, but I thought he was like your personal dog or something but it's just minor issues.
  1. Doey - CHAPTER 4
By far my favorite antagonist. From his backstory, to his personality, character, to his level. I love how they set him up from the beginning of chapter 4 all the way to the end. I like the idea of having 3 children be turned into 1 experiment. And I feel really bad since I don't blame Doey for going through mood swings that he literally can't control until he lost his mind. I like the details of when he speaks he can sound happy and cheerful, other times he can sound confused and unsure, and then sound serious and upset with his diologue to hint at the 3 children/minds working continously. I know the doctor is supposed to be the 'main antagonist' of this chapter but I think Doey does a better job at being the finale boss. Gameplay wise I love his level a lot. (Yeah it's a glitchy mess but chapter 4 is honestly the most bugged chapter to ever exist let's be honest.) Another thing I like is the freezing and sawing mechanic and his death scene is absolutely brutal. Especially since the guy apologizes to us as his last words. I hope they continue to keep up the great work with making the antagonist/('s) next chapter because they did a good job for this one.
My real complaint in general about the antagonist this chapter is the fear factor. I didn't get that many jumpscares and a lot of them where weak. Like Yarnaby just claws at you to turn and face him and eats your mid section instead of getting in your face. (Okay so I learned that sometimes he'll jumpscare scare you in your face like the others but sometimes he won't Idk it's weird lol) And Harley's didn't scare me on bit. I still think Miss Delight has the scariest jumpscare in the game though and you can't change my mind.

2025.02.02 02:49 RedRunner_1987 First Suppressor(s)

I know Silencer Central gets A LOT of hate, but figured it was a decent way to get a .22LR suppressor while starting my collection. Got my daughter a .22 bolt action to start teaching her how to shoot and she has a sensitivity to loud noises, figured getting a .22 suppressor would help easy that.
I will note, I have not shot my guns yet since I have received my cans. But I can outline that process. Took right around a month from when my initial purchase to receive my cans at my house. Turn around time for the Tax Stamp was 24 hours. Customer Service was pretty good throughout the process, so no complaints there.
Went with the Banish 45 on my Grit Grip G19(red dot needs to be replaced) and the .22 will most likely live on the .22 Bolt Action.
Will update when I actually get to the Range

2025.02.02 02:49 FROZENLAVA2990 Relationship Advice

18/F I've recently been talking to someone for aboit 3 weeks now and it's going well. Me and him are on the same page and we communicate really well.
But I'm afraid. Afraid of being vulnerable with him. Everytime I've been vulnerable with someone they have turned their back on me and I'm deathly afraid of abandonment and rejection.
Next time we talk I'll address it because I feel myself pulling away due to this fear. I want to be in a relationship with him but emotionally vulnerability, real emotional vulnerability tends to be something I struggle with. I'm really scared and it's kinda tearing up inside. Any advice?

2025.02.02 02:49 Sleezuswept Racing rpg

Was just playing cyberpunk and was thinking to myself why don’t we have a racing rpg ? Something like cyberpunk mixed with forza midnight club and nfsu2. Something focused way more on the racing gameplay but also with the freedom to explore outside of your vehicle car meets visit stores etc. anyway I asked ai to write me an idea and this was something we quickly came up with and it sounds amazing 🤣
Sure, let's expand on that!
Game Title: Neon Velocity
Setting: Neon Velocity takes place in a sprawling, dystopian cyberpunk metropolis called Neo Arcadia. The city is divided into various districts, each with its own unique aesthetic and challenges—from the glitzy, high-tech downtown area to the gritty, industrial outskirts. Neon signs, holographic billboards, and towering skyscrapers dominate the skyline, creating a visually stunning backdrop for high-speed races.
Storyline: In Neon Velocity, you play as a skilled racer named Alex, who is part of an underground racing league. The league is a rebellion against the oppressive mega-corporations that control Neo Arcadia. As you progress, you'll uncover secrets about the city's dark past and your own mysterious origins. Your ultimate goal is to win the Grand Tournament and bring freedom to the people of Neo Arcadia.
Customization: Customization is at the heart of Neon Velocity. You can modify every aspect of your vehicle, from its appearance to its performance. Here are some of the customization options:

  1. Body Kits: Change the look of your vehicle with various body kits, each inspired by different cyberpunk aesthetics.
  2. Paint Jobs and Decals: Choose from a wide range of neon colors, holographic finishes, and custom decals to make your ride stand out.
  3. Performance Upgrades: Improve your vehicle's speed, handling, and durability with high-tech upgrades like turbo boosters, advanced suspension systems, and reinforced armor.
  4. Weapons and Gadgets: Equip your vehicle with a variety of weapons and gadgets, such as EMP blasters, spike strips, and cloaking devices, to gain an edge over your opponents.
  5. Realistic Customization: Dive deep into realistic customization with tons of car parts from name brands. Whether you're into muscle cars, slammed cars, or anything in between, you'll find a vast array of parts to tailor your ride to perfection.
Character Exploration: Your character can also get out of their car to explore the city. Visit various stores, interact with NPCs, and find hidden secrets scattered throughout Neo Arcadia. This adds an extra layer of immersion and allows you to experience the city beyond the races.
Unlockables: As you win races and complete missions, you'll earn credits and reputation points. These can be used to unlock new customization options, vehicles, and special abilities. Some unlockables include:
  1. Legendary Vehicles: Rare and powerful vehicles with unique abilities, like the ability to temporarily hover or generate a speed-boosting energy field.
  2. Special Abilities: Skills that give you an advantage in races, such as a temporary speed boost, enhanced grip, or a defensive shield.
  3. Exclusive Customization Items: Unique paint jobs, decals, and body kits that can only be unlocked by completing specific challenges or reaching certain milestones.
Gameplay: Neon Velocity features a mix of traditional racing and combat elements. You'll race against AI opponents and other players in various modes, including:
  1. Circuit Races: Traditional multi-lap races on closed tracks with plenty of twists, turns, and obstacles.
  2. Sprint Races: Point-to-point races through the city streets, where the fastest route isn't always the most obvious.
  3. Battle Races: Intense races where weapons and gadgets play a crucial role in taking down your opponents.
  4. Time Trials: Solo challenges where you aim to set the fastest time on a given track.
Multiplayer: Compete against other players in online multiplayer modes, including ranked matches and casual races. Form racing teams with your friends and take on other teams in epic tournaments.
With its rich cyberpunk setting, deep customization options, and thrilling racing action, Neon Velocity promises to be an unforgettable gaming experience. Ready to hit the neon-lit streets and become the ultimate racer in Neo Arcadia?
Imagine a sprawling urban landscape filled with towering skyscrapers, neon lights, and bustling streets. The heart of the city is a maze of narrow alleys, wide boulevards, and hidden shortcuts, perfect for high-speed chases and intense street races. The inner city is just like you described, with bustling streets and neon lights, perfect for street racing. Additionally, you can venture outside the city for thrilling off-road races, taking on rugged terrains and challenging courses.
Character customization is a key feature, allowing players to personalize their avatars with a variety of outfits, accessories, and vehicles. You can tweak everything from your character's hairstyle to the decals on your car, making your racing experience truly unique.
The racing gameplay combines the best elements of Midnight Club and Need for Speed Underground, with the realistic driving mechanics of Forza. This blend offers an exhilarating experience, with high-speed chases, intense street races, and precise handling that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

2025.02.02 02:49 Total-Rub-5067 ever feel like you’re inheriting toxic traits from your parents?

Have you ever felt like this? Like you couldn’t avoid having some toxic trait from your parents?
I’ve tried so hard not to end up like them, but sometimes, I catch myself doing things I swore I’d never do. It’s like you can fight it, but you can’t outrun that DNA, no matter how hard you try. Every time I see them, it feels like a reminder of what I could become, and I just can’t shake that fear. It’s a weird mix of hating the parts of them that are in me and loving them because they’re still my roots, you know? I try not to repeat the mistakes, but sometimes, it feels like I’m just waiting for it to catch up with me. The whole “I won’t be like you” thing? Yeah, I say that to myself a lot, but deep down, I know it’s not that simple…
