so to start this off, this isn't necessarily a rant, just wanted to get this off my chest bc i'm mildly panicking but also not?
so last tuesday, my dad had posted on FB something about food poisoning. i texted him asking how he felt and all, yesterday he said he was feeling much better. apparently, he got ahold of some bad milk and it tore him up. i know this, my stepmom and sister who are around him quite a bit aren't sick, that's brought some comfort. however, tomorrow is my birthday, we are going out to eat. that's already causing some anxiety but i'm facing it! i plan to go to texas roadhouse, enjoy a nice steak and spend time w my loved ones. my dad, grandmother, sister and fiancee will be w me.
however, my brain won't shut up that he had the stomach bug, due to it just going around for the reasons we all know. it isn't bad over here, but my coworkers sister had it a couple weeks ago and that caused me to ramp up safety behaviors. so i'm pretty anxious bc i'll be sitting in a restaurant eating around others and around my dad who may or may not have had the bug. i believe he was exposed by my stepmoms sister bc she commented on the post saying they just had the bug and it could have been that. i love my dad dearly and i'm so glad he is feeling better, but i almost cancelled going out to eat in fear of this.
the logical side of me is saying fuck this phobia and go enjoy a nice lunch w loved ones and enjoy your day! the phobia side is telling me to stay home in bed and doomscroll tiktok and reddit. i suppose maybe i could use some advice on how to combat it when the anxiety gets the best of me? i try to be pretty supportive when i comment under everyone elses posts but it's hard to do it for myself😅 my fiancee has been extremely supportive and has convinced me to go and enjoy the day and she'll be w me all day, so that helps a lot. she deals w me like this a lot😂 if you read this long spiel, thank you🙏🏻

Set up: g8+, Razor Cortex remote play, ios, Steam.
I'm playing Ghost of Tsushima rn and need to use the center touch pad functionality (which a standard ps4 controller would have). Steam Input doesn't let you remap the 'guiding winds' to any other button, and I cant get steam to recognize the G8+ as a Xbox one controller (which would fix my issue). Has anyone else run into this issue and found a solution?

Yes, I use AI generated art for album covers, but I am staunchly against all forms of AI music. The duality of humanity, eh?
I posted my first album here with very little feedback, but this may be due to it not being that great and also due to the AI art. However, one kind soul, u/BGbikeandstuff, shared some soft words that kept me going, which contributed to this album. Our Forgotten Future's album Indefinite Ends has been a staple in my evenings three to four times a week, so teaming up with an influence on musical style was definitely inspiring. He added some of his magical music glitter to all of the songs, and added his own tracks to a few of the songs. Every little squiggle of tone on this album is produced by a guitar, a human playing a guitar.
I'm getting older, time is whistling by, and this album reflects those thoughts: Ruminations on Metaphysical Afterlife. To me, it is a concept album, a journey. We set our intentions and they drift off along the way. Ya know the old cliche: the journey is the purpose. Is this world a dreamland? Are UAPs real? Is the afterlife another life? Does it just end? Playing music helps me process these questions that do not have answers, as music appears to be a form of answer that I will accept.
Enjoy, critique, and/or dreamwarp your way through this album. I put my all into this one.

Okay so I dated this guy 3 times in 2 years, we met as friends along w this other girl (gonna call her Luci), we started dating, we where shit to each other, broke up and come back 3 times.
Since our last breakup he started seeing a friend of mine that I introduced him to and he became interested in her, and he is totally excited and can't stop talking about her. He literally won't shut up about her, Luci and I are fed up because we both know he's not ready for a relationship and that he only became interested in her because of his need to be liked but we don't wanna be mean because we are his only friends, we keep telling him to be patient but he doesn't listen to us.
And this is something very difficult for me because I personally suffered a lot in our relationship and I am still suffering the emotional consequences of it and seeing him constantly talk about his new interest and being unable to cut him off without causing a domino effect is killing me, I don't want to be a shitty ex-boyfriend and tell him to shut up about her but this is genuinely destroying me on so many emotional levels.
