Hey y’all! 👋🏼 I was commenting on a post: “what’s it like to be an RL?” ..something of that nature, & I realized as I was typing my response that it fits A Lot More than just that subject, so I thought to make a completely new post out of it.
2 months ago, my community got our first, local Raising Cane’s. The way Cane’s does training for new stores was an Absolutely Awesome experience & I’m Very Glad I was part of it. It all started off Insanely Strong & everything looked Incredibly Promising… Until a few weeks ago. 🫤
Backstory: I’m a crew member. During the orientation, I did what I could to stand out & make it known that I wanted hours. They asked me at a point, “could you work some nights?” ..To which I told them I could. Looking back, I didn’t know “some nights” meant 5-6 nights a week w/ ZERO daytime &/or front counter opportunities (because I trained Both) so that sucks. If I could go back & Not Accept that request, I would 1,000 times over.
*So now you hopefully understand my specific situation/where I’m at. *
I really wanted to move up the ranks so Extremely Badly, until my friends & I figured out how Cane’s system works. The first 5-8 of our new HIPOs are All mid-shift crew members that literally don’t even know how to properly close yet, but Of Course all 8 of those mfs happen to be 'Buddy-buddy' w/ the managers. One of them even asked me the other day, “do we leave bird dish for morning? Or..”☠️ lmfao they’re all absolute fucking Idiots! 🤣 …there’s even some serious, crazy rumors flying around our store that the HIPOs & some of the managers are fooling around at parties they’ve been throwing? so there’s that, too. 😶
Essentially, in not even 2 months, the most promising looking job I’ve ever had went to complete shit. Raising Cane’s, for ya! 🤠 🤙🏼
My new goal w/ Cane’s is to take as many pay raises as they’ll give me, but w/o any promotions. Zone completions, total hours, etc.
My Take: Cane’s is great, if you’re a manager or friends w/ the manager(s).. but it Absolutely Sucks for any average Joe trying to work up the corporate ladder (& do it Fairly.)
I sincerely hope that the rest of you don’t have to deal w/ this type of shit. 🫡

- 2137: This is the earliest possible date for the Pistols to be recognized as the local Camden government - consequently, this also means that Parliament had been reestablished by this point
- 2177: Parliament passes the Representation Act
- 2187: Third Great Fire of London
- 2227: The Isle of Dogs and the Vagabonds go to war; Queen Victoria II falls ill 2237: The main events of the game

My Dad worked for the old Pacific Telephone & Telegraph (Ma Bell, now AT&T) for 35 years and brought home some cool things over the years. These cross arms with insulators have graced our back patio for as long as I can remember. I haven't been able to find out much about a value on them & am wondering if anyone can help me out. Any ideas? They're probably from the early 60's. Thanks for any info!

Hello, I am looking for any reasonable expression to ask for items on the menu in restaurants that do not contain soy, or contains soy in small quantities due to allergies. So in general contamination is OK, even light seasoning is OK, but primarily soy-based dishes like tofu are not OK.
I understand if it isn't reasonable to make a distinction between "small amount allowed" and "no amount allowed" in a short expression/sentence, so I am fine if only the latter is offered. Just please do point it out so I can know what is being said.
Essentially something that can express: - "Excuse me, which dishes (menu items) contain little or no soy? I have allergies and can only handle small amluntd of it"
