I applied at Houston Police Department and they rejected me on the basis that I admitted to cocaine usage in 2016. The recruiter said they had a hard 10 year limit for cocaine usage, but asked me to reapply in 2026 as I would make a great candidate with my experience and my record is completely clean. He said it was a hard rule for them that there is no way around. I’m applying at other agencies, but I am curious, Is this the same rule all across Texas, or is this only a Houston PD rule, am I wasting my time?

Ironicamente fiz um post sobre shadow ban, pq tomei um no inicio da season 1 do BO6 e foi frustrante não receber suporte da Activision sobre isso, já que com certeza o motivo foi em razão de spam reports e não fazia sentido eu ter que enfrentar lobbys gringos e cheio de cheaters por conta disso.
Agora, depois de incríveis 3 DIAS após a minha liberação, eu tomei denovo. Cara, de verdade, chega a ser angustiante ter que passar por isso. Eu só quero jogar o jogo e não sei o que fazer pra conseguir isso.
Enfim... meu post aqui é com o sentido de pedir ajuda. Eu genuinamente não sei o que fazer. O suporte fala que não consegue me dar informações sobre punições aplicadas pelo time de Security and Enforcement e que não pode fazer nada e nem contatar eles. Eu não tenho opção de contestar o estado de Limited Matchmaking e claramente eu estou preso em um loop. Já vi alguns vídeos que falam sobre não jogar durante 2 semanas após a liberação do shadow, já vi vídeos falando pra habilitar a autenticação de dois fatores na minha conta da Activision... Eu fiz tudo isso, mas não adiantou nada... Então queria saber se alguém tem alguma ideia de como sair desse loop que não seja "Vai pro console".
Peço socorro, pq de fato, não sei mais o que fazer.

Thank you all for your responses and advice. Unfortunately it was all pointless.
It turns out that she just doesn’t care about me. My younger 16 year old cousin has been staying there the last couple of days and my grandma has bent over backwards to accommodate her. Fire fully on, gas heater, curtains closed for once, and to my shock the central heating was put on.
For anybody who cares, this is not actually a shock to me because she has treated me differently ever since my dad committed suicide in 2013. I’ve struggled with severe depression and anxiety ever since but she acts like it never happened. I’ve really started to lose faith in her love for me and I’m quickly approaching the final straw.
Anyway, thanks to everybody ❤️

Hey shooters!
I've got a few friends who are deep into the competitive shooting scene. They have taken me to the range a couple of times, and brought me along to a USPSA event earlier this year which was a ton of fun.
They want to bring me out to a few more events in 2025 and have offered to let me use their guns, which are very nice competition spec CZ pistols, and as much as I appreciate their generosity I can only justify so much freeloading.
I'm looking at getting my own setup but I have two wrinkles to deal with. First: I'm left handed so everything I'm shopping for has to either be designed for a lefty, or at the bare minimum be ambidextrous. Second: I'm cheap as fuck. Yes, I recognize that shooting is an expensive sport, but at the same time I also know that if you're patient and persistent you can make any hobby more affordable.
A bit more about me. I'm not at all afraid of buying used gear to get a good deal, and I'm looking for the best "bang for your buck" setup. I'm handy and a chronic tinkerer so if building a gun from component pieces is genuinely a way to save some cash, I'll buy the component pieces and build it myself. Finally, I'm planning on shooting in the equivalent of carry optics.
I don't own any gun related shit so I'm completely starting from scratch. I don't need a fancy race gun, nor do I need something compact for concealed carry. I just need something reliable, affordable, and hopefully decently common so if I do experience a malfunction I can get a fix quickly. A strong aftermarket is a plus as I will likely want to buy upgrades down the line if I continue to enjoy the sport.
So, any suggestions on where to start? I'm in the Denver area if anyone has a local hookup.

How do I convince my 14 year old son to sit down with me and enjoy this masterpiece. I saw the movie for the first time when I was 14, he never watches movies, just plays video games with his friends. He loves star wars but has never sat down and watched star wars, lol.
