That's where this game fell short. The combat, the combat, the combat.
Two things, to be specific.
First is the control scheme for attacks. The execution is clunky. I repeat: the combat control scheme is clunky. Add to it the absolutely ridiculous level of jank with regards to the controls. The game seems to step in sometimes and decide "you don't really need the Rot Hammer right now; instead, just flail with a heavy attack and miss, and leave yourself open." I need not elaborate further. You know.
Second is the bosses. The devs seemed intent on making bosses with what they thought were "innovative and impressive" attack animations, and forgot to make bosses that were actually fun to battle. The bosses in this game are about as exciting as cleaning the grout with a toothbrush. Tedious and annoying. A real chore.
I suppose some might say "skill issue" and there may be some lack of wholehearted investment on my part contributing to that -- but this game should have been right up my alley (I loved Asterigos and Kingdoms of Amalur and even Blades of Time, etc etc and so forth). Yet I struggle to keep playing Kena.
I play on the "normal" setting so it's plenty challenging, and am toward the late-game, with the asinine Mask Maker boss. I've been coming back to this game for over a year and have yet to finish it. I want to get into the groove but the combat mechanics are just so clumsily implemented.

I have spent over $20 today just on raid passes to join in with people for pokemongoraids and over half of the groups have people leave seconds before the raid starts, leaving 2 or 3 people to do a primal raid. I have lost at least 5 passes today because people won't stick around to do a raid. What's the point of posting or joining if your just going to leave? Stop giving everyone a false perspective thinking we can beat the boss and give us the opportunity to choose if it's a good place to spend resources. Stop costing me money. That is Niantics job.

Lux 3. Ability does 1840 damage. Has shojin, nashors, JG. My team also has shred and grievous applied. Enemy Scar TWO with 4 watcher, 2 firelight, and a gargoyle goes a full TWENTY SECONDS of being focused by lux and never died. Her ability was only doing 500 and yes, scar had grievous and shred indicators on.
If a nearly 2k damage abiilty used 5-6 times can't kill a scar 2, what hope do sorcerers really have?

My wife asked these questions and I had no idea, was wondering if anyone knew? These are all US questions though answers from other countries would be very interesting!
*Do monks vote? Or is part of being a monk not voting?
*Do monks have to serve jury duty? I imagine a monk would get struck from a jury pretty quickly if yes.
*Do monks file taxes? With no income I assume the answer is no, but I have no idea how that would even work.
*Do monks bathe? This has been a consistently difficult question to find an answer to which is kind of funny.

I don't know about you, but I'm really excited for EU5, and as I follow the Tinto Talks I think what I want my first run to be like, this is what I settled on:
Play as Sicily
focus on the navy and on trade
become the master of the mediterranean, controlling every island from the Balearics to Cyprus, and make each of those islands majority Sicilian and Catholic.
Conquer the tunisian and the libyan coasts, turn those majority Catholic and Sicilian as well.
Having consolidated a good powerbase, it's time to unify Italy, this means the whole peninsula (-Rome, a good catholic would never dethrone the Pope) + Istria, the whole eastern adriatic coast and Albania, while unifying Italy turn into a republic, burghers are my best bros. Oh and we need to turn Albania, Istria and the eastern adriatic coast majority Catholic and Italian. Not gonna push the "become Italy" button though, unless it gives me huge advantages.
^These are my main objectives for the run
After all of this, I'm already probably the strongest country on the planet, but I'm a guy who regularly brings his EU4 games to 1821, so I'm gonna set a few more goals for myself:
Sicilian east and west indies, control all the caribbean and south-east asian Islands (Including the Philippines and Taiwan). Make at least the caribbeans majority catholic and Sicilian. Oh and let's conquer Madagascar, because we like islands in this run.
Colonize Australia and New Zealand
Build the Suez if possible
Sicilian Raj
If Byz died (gonna try to make that not happen), I'm gonna build a gigantic Romania (Latin bros) and give them all of the balkans, except of course for the areas I control.
Support Japan against China and Korea if I can (Island bros).
