2024.11.24 23:51 Successful_Lime_1349 Help!! First time getting acupuncture for chronic injury
I’m seeing a new PT for an injury called sesamoiditis. It’s been 8 months so my muscles are extremely atrophied from multiple tries at immobilization. Finally told by my doctor to get out of the boot and try to start strengthening. This new person seems to be the type of PT I’ve been searching for, knowledgeable in biomechanics, barefoot living, and alternative medicine. They preformed acupuncture on my foot Thursday and then used some sort of stim machine for 15 minutes. They placed 4 needles on the ball of my foot in the shape of a square where my pain was. Before this, I had finally sorta gotten my sesamoiditis flair ups under control and was going to start strengthening. He told me to expect some worsening conditions later that day but by the 3rd day I’d like him again. Later that day nothing, felt no pain felt great. Friday, same thing felt great took it easy no major flare ups. Now starting yesterday afternoon I started to notice some inflammation even through the anti inflammatories and bruising. The pain has returned I did contrast baths to try to calm it. I did maybe 1500 steps total all day nothing crazy and same thing today I’ve maybe done 1000 steps today but have had an increase in pain/inflammation even through anti inflammatories. It’s so incredibly frustrating because I don’t know if I’m over doing it or it’s caused by the acupuncture session. Is this normal??? I’m stressed/sad beyond belief which can’t be helping the situation.

I was charged for $700 for labs from lab corp that the Doctor had me due.
Do I call the VA and get it resolved that way or lab corp . I’m not sure what Info they would need.

What are your heart rates while running? At one point, about 6-9 months ago, I was able to run 10k/1 hr without stopping and didn't use a heart rate monitor at that time. Now I am working on getting back to running and losing some fo the weight I gained during the off time using a Garmin watch. It wants me to remain in a specific heart rate, but while running I have found that I am often between 175-200 bpm. Am I the only one?
My training plan wants me to aim between 130-159 bpm; I tried today and I could barely move faster than walking. I had to alternate between slow motion running and walking to keep my bmp in the zone.

Trying to upgrade my setup, but also away on holiday until the 1st which means VF lands right in the middle of it.
I'm trying to make sense of the Black Friday deal as the current €499 price is what I have logged (I have a sheet with pre BF prices to see if I'm getting mugged off) about 4 weeks ago now.
When I visit the blog post on their website and scroll down to the deals on the 26th I see this message about the WRC 5NM bundle..
When I click on the EU flag (I'll be ordering to the UK), I then see this price here at €499.
Now I'm guessing the 31% off will be off the €499 as that has been the price of the bundle for a few weeks now. So come the 26th the price should be about €350?
My current setup is as follows and looking for a DD upgrade and down the line a load cell brake. I'd say the 5NM and an Aliexpress boost kit is the most cost effective way to about 8NM where I'll probably be content.
- Thrustmaster TX Leather Edition (T300 to most)
- T3PA pedals
- Aluminium rig
Open to other ideas.
