Attorney David p I guess is his name, I've actually spoken with his law firm a year ago over something else but idk what I'm dealing with is literally not believable unless I uploaded all this heavy legal documents. it's really nuts it's not really on my history I've helped a few innocent people but this is the worst case. I'm an experienced snowboarder but have no experience touring. Time to take the plunge, finally. I'm 5'9-5'10 ish, about 155 lb dry. Normal resort riding id be about a 154-156. I've got a 158 for pow days that feels good. But I'm pretty adaptable.
There's a smoking deal on a K2 freeloader, a 156. My brain tells me I'd prefer to be on a 159, but it's out of stock.
I'm not as tuned in to splitboard nuances on sizing, weight, etc. Any insight on whether that 156 will be fine for my first splitboard, cutting my teeth with the sport, etc. OR should I just bite the bullet and spend a little extra for a 158-159? Mostly plan to ride powder. Any deck recommendations would be appreciated too, still navigating all these splitboard models. Thanks team!

I hope this doesn't break any rules. But I would really like some advice.
I was scrolling through the gram, as one does, and I came up with a picture of my abuser. He was smiling from ear to ear with what I assume is his new partner. I got this rage upon me that I haven't felt in a while. This guy put me through hell and back. I'm here trying to heal from all the hurt he brought into my life and it's been years and I still cannot fully recover and this bastard is just there chlling like a literal villan. Mind you, I wasn't trying to look for anything related to him but sometimes you cannot avoid running into things from other people.
I got myself out of there before I started spiraling. I took my meds, I journaled, I took myself for a walk. Anything and everything (that's positive and productive, nothing that can hurt my psychy any further). It helped a bit, but I found myself crying anyways.
I know that to be able to move on and to heal, you need to let go and forgive the person no matter what blah blah blah. But if I could make him burst into flames with my mind, I know I would.
I'm not looking for psychological advice (that's against the rules and I have an amazing therapist for that) I'm just asking any advice from people that have been able to get over the rage of seeing the person that hurt you the most be "happy."

I don’t know what to do with Kyle. He performing horribly. I’m in a 14t points league. He’s averaging 19 fpts per game in my league, and looks awful. I can’t find anyone willing to trade for him and I’m really considering just dropping him. I’m dealing with a ton of injuries and I need points he’s just not giving me. He’s playing less than 30 minutes a game and aside from his game on October 28th he’s been incapable of putting up more than 20 fpts. I would think the longer the season goes on the more the Wizards will turn to young guys. If he’s not producing I’d assume that timeline on losing minutes is going to be expedited. Am I overreacting, is this just a slump or is this a sign of the year to come?

detection succes of radiation from exclusively beta sources Hi, I wanted a way to identify some forgotten but possibly radioactive materials in an old lab. But while the exact identification is a (very) nice to have, I want to make sure that I can positively identify all materials that are radioactive and need to be handled with care.
I ended up ordering the Radiacode 103 because of the high gamma sensitivity (certainly as I have the time to get a reading of many hours) And because as far as I know, there are no alpha emitters that are not also gamma emitters.
As for beta-emitters, I know there are some (although typically short-halflive) sources that emit only Beta radiation. However after some quick reading the consensus seemed to be that these are always “sensed” in reality because of the bremsstrahlung that generates gamma waves when the electrons pass a particle and so will get detected by the radiacode (although with wrong values).
But as I am waiting for the 103 to get delivered, I start to wonder how this would fundamentally work. Is the beta radiation hitting the plastic housing enough to reliably cause bremsstrahlung? From what I read on https://radioactivity.eu.com/articles/phenomenon/bremsstrahlung-2, the energy of the electrons need to be high: On Copper, the electrons have to be above 400 keV to have any bremsstrahlung. (And ideally above 1 MeV to be meaningful)
So this got me wondering how reliably weaker beta emitters can be detected. Would the radiacode contain denser materials such as lead or some special plastics that generate bremsstrahlung from weaker electrons? Or do those weaker electrons get caught directly by the CsI(Tl) scintillator, which generates a reading as if it was directly impacted by a gamma ray? And if that is the case, how would they be show up on the spectrum?
So in other words, how will the radiacode react to pure (but weak) beta-emitters such as pure C-14(156.47 keV electrons), Ca-45(256.90 keV electrons) or Tritium(18.59 keV electrons) ?
Will it always detect something above background radiation when the dose rate is high enough to form a health risk?
Or should I put some pieces of lead nearby to “encourage” bremsstrahlung and be sure of a strong indirect measurement ?
And yes, I know the probability of randomly stumbling upon a pure beta-emitter is very low, but I would love to understand this better.
