I already know I’m going to get downvoted to hell for this but it’s currently 10 pm and we’re still not done with online orders.. we are at the point where they’re not even getting sent out day of anymore because we just can’t keep up with them. We have been working on them since 7 AM. Our Operations manager worked on them for 10 hours straight today but had to leave because of overtime. We are getting in a lot of trouble for having late orders, but we are getting 200 orders per day, which totals to be 1,000+ products we have to pick and pack. I’m begging you guys, please 😭😭😭

We had to gut our kitchen in a 100-year-old home. Not surprisingly, the floors aren’t very level. I attempted to install cabinets just using shims, but I see they’re not even enough in height to take a stone countertop. I’m going to try again, but I wondered if adding adjustable feet will make all this easier. Can someone recommend something other than mere shims that are easier to adjust? I will get a laser level I guess, but I figure there must be something other than wood shimming I could do.

 | Me and some friends were sailing a brig to do a bounty for skeleton crew and help our noob friend get some money. On the way there we took out an ashen skeleton and found a message in a bottle which ended up changing our course entirely. I fell off reading {82nd Street Vandals by Heather Long} in 2022 right in the middle of Dangerous Renegade and with the release of the 10th book recently I thought I’d get back in to it. But with…7? 8? I can’t remember how many love interests 🤣 I don’t feel real confident about diving back in halfway through the series.
I could really use a character list with descriptions or maybe spoiler-free synopses and ages or something to help get me back up to speed. Does anyone know if something like that exists somewhere?

I love the show, and while S8 has problems, I don't completely hate it.
But im watching S8 again right now and several things really jumped out at me. In a way that really bugs me.
Alexis bluffs a Paramedic next to an ambulance. The medic comments that he is just a "Probationary EMT"... yet he has a Medic patch. As a medic myself (27 years) that is one of the most unlikely things I've ever seen on any TV show. Trust me, the 2 years (approx) it takes to get your medic... you have experience at that point. I don't mind that she considers him, it's a TV show, just not the way it occurred.
Next, the "EMT" funds that they are short 2 vials of insulin.... but insulin needs to be refrigerated, which is why the majority of ambulance services do NOT stock insulin. Humalog and Humulin could be useful on some calls, but it's not worth the money and equipment needed for a drug that would be rarely utilized and is easily accessible at a hospital.
And, the "clue" that Alexis was following up on, sugar packs/ candy showing the suspect might be diabetic... if you need sugar than your BGL (Blood glucose level) is TOO LOW. If you need insulin then your BGL is TOO HIGH. Insulin lowers your BGL, sugar increases it, the 2 treatments are mutually exclusive in the field. (Yes, in a hospital setting they may have cause to use both on a patient, but not in a short term situation.
I know these are relatively minor nitpicks to most people... but if they had just had a 30 minute conversation with a real medic none of this crap would have been wrong,. It's a pet peeve of mine.

 | I just closed the shutoff valve to the hose for the winter, and it started leaking a drop every ~2 seconds. I opened it back up and now it’s slowed down to a drop or two a minute, but it wasn’t dripping at all before I closed it. If it had a packing nut I’d try tightening it, but since it doesn’t- is there anything I can do? I don’t have much plumbing experience but I am handy and up to work on it.
