2024.11.25 03:33 spcypeach Prozac, Wellbutrin, zyprexa, and depakote all being taken together. Should I be worried?
My dad (56M)was recently released from a behavioral health center and he’s staying with me (24F) and my fiance as well as our 4 month old. He has a history of mental health issues but most recently was struggling with what was believed to be bipolar 1, mania induced psychosis. Before he went in he was on Wellbutrin and taking 300 mg. He wasn’t taking his Prozac. Now that he is out, they have him on zyprexa snd depakote. I’m not sure the doses but I think he’s doing 5mg of zyprexa. Now his plan is to experiment with all 4 of the medications and I’m worried about the interactions. It’ll be something like 10mg of Prozac, 150mg of Wellbutrin, 5mg of zyprexa (though he was prescribed a 10mg dose) and 250mg of depakote (only at night even though he’s directed to take it twice a day.
I’m worried about the interactions the medications might have with each other. I feel like it’s just a lot all at once and my basic google searches make me even more nervous. He has a follow up appointment with a psychiatrist on 12/5.

I feel the softness of your lips imprinting gentle kisses across my back. I remind myself to stay present, so as to preserve the moment to memory. It was a blissful, sleepy picture of serenity. One that we had shared so many times over the years.
Then I woke up. The tenderness of your touch quickly dissipated, and was replaced by slow, silent tears. Their sharp saltiness burning into my skin, reminding me of an ever-present painful reality. The tears roll down my cheeks, and into an ocean. An ocean filled with a depth of love reserved only for you. Just like you said, real love lasts forever. But as white caps of waves disappear into sandy shore, so too does that blissful, sleepy picture. If only the calm before the storm was not finite, then perhaps breaking up wouldn’t be so hard to do.

I'm a recently-graduated Primary Care Paramedic (EMT) in Canada, and I'm going to be starting a job at a harm reduction clinic soon.
I've been taking courses offered online in my jurisdiction related to opioid use disorder (OUD), and just generally trying to learn as much as a I can about addiction and how it effects people. However, a lot of these courses feel very medical and "unhuman", and I think I could benefit from hearing experiences directly from people who struggle with addiction to opioids.
I have family who struggle with alcohol use, and I know that for someone to attend AA meetings as an observer there are certain rules you have to follow/there is a certain way you need to go about doing it. Is that same true for NA? Can I just show up to a meeting?

I could touch on the many problems, like Tuning, or the Gacha, or whatnot, but today, I choose to speak about the topic of characters. I am sick, and fucking tired of putting up with this. To start, almost every team I see is either S/T, (the T being nejire 99.9% of the time.) or just triple Strike or Rapid. There’s no variety. I miss when I could rage at being stunned by Kaminari while my friend would united states of smash some guy while their teammate would try to swat Iida as Kendo. A lot of the characters in this game have good design, but some just suck, and recently, they’ve been just making miss, after miss, after miss for characters (counting Skill Sets). Mirio, despite being a good character design, has one major flaw, in Permeation. It allows him to run away, and also ignore most structures. The caveat is that all of his moves are dodgeable, so the team goal is to make them undodgeable. This gameplan is both effective, but extremely boring, leading to unfair situations, or maybe your ping was off, and the input delay just fucked you over. In the same season, comes Strike Dabi, possibly the worst made character design in any hero shooter. An unengaging, practically braindead character that can punish you for doing what you’re supposed to do in this kind of game, and can delete your HP. In games like this, usually these kinds of characters wouldn’t get far because other characters with higher skill ceilings with what their character could do would be able to outplay this kind of character (hence why Moira is typically bad in high level Overwatch), but nope, he does too much damage to even consider outplaying him, and thus, results in an unenjoyable matchup for all parties involved. I would also like to touch on Strike Deku, being the abhorrently broken, and bad designed character he is, as he can do it all. Another bad character design is when there’s no clear weakness, but immense strength all around, that doesn’t come from a skill or ability attached to a character but rather just raw numbers and lack of weakness. His Alpha already does too much, as it’s a shotgun while not aiming, but a long range attack while aimed in. Manchester Smash adds on to this by being an absurdly high damaging close range “get off me” tool that has insane tracking. The gamma, despite being the least bad part about his kit, still does too much due to his combo ability, and movement, tacked on with the 350 HP, and a carry, and you have an unstoppable character that, sure, has a skill curve, but is nigh unstoppable once you reach past it.
Moving forward in this rant, Season 6 brought possibly the most underlooked overpowered and badly designed character: Tech Shoto. This man already had immense power, being able to blow up through walls, having two shields, and being able to punish melee characters for even daring to get close to him(except Mirio), all while dealing 100+ dmg per shot. Then, this season, they buffed him, and I remain baffled as to why, as he wasn’t doing badly whatsoever. He leans very heavily into bunker, but he can bunker anywhere, and has the fastest finisher in the game. His immense overtuning prevents him from having proper windows to punish him for his mistakes.
In Season 7, we got to see 3 new broken characters come into the scene. To go over this one quickly since everyone knows how bad that season was, Hawks deletes your HP, has no need to aim, and cannot be outran, nor chased down, by anything but himself, Rapid Toga takes something that shouldn’t have any way to combo into it, combo into the very thing (Transform), allowing her to get an ability reset, and deal 300+ damage. Present Mic is only broken because of the Armor break on his scream. If they removed it, he’d just be overtuned, since all of his moves have an expressed purpose that all have dodge windows and punish windows. Finally, Nejire. This character is possibly the worse one yet. For starters, they take a character archetype they already have, and make a better version of everything in his kit (Rest in Peace Enji), and deal more damage, all while being uncounterable. Her beta is basically Prominence burn but less range, her gamma is the spear but for a more expressed defensive/mobility purpose, and the alpha is just twice and Pres. Mic’s lovechild. Her floatiness, instant knockdown, even against armor, and overwhelming damage and fast knockdowns make her a horrible character design that makes my faith in this game waiver. I’m not excited for Kiri’s skillset, and I’m incredibly tired. To those who read all of this, thank you. To those who didn’t, here’s a TL;DR
TL;DR: This game’s lack of variety and, horrible balance and character design make it more and more unfun and less engaging all while they nerf the fun characters, leading to a drab, boring, repetitive gameplay loop. (I haven’t seen an assault character until today since the start of this season, and supports are very scarce.)
P.S. Some characters can be Overpowered and still have good design. Overhaul, despite having the gamma bug, and in general his gamma and self heal, has good design, and I like Mirio’s, but it’s too reliant on the dodge or die design, making all the more annoying when you die to him.
