I’m looking to get my dad a new work bag for Christmas. He carries a laptop, several notebooks, multiple binders full of paperwork, and some small miscellaneous things. His current backpack is very old and being held together by duct tape as the straps have ripped:( He’s also older and has back pain so I want to find something that won’t exacerbate that. So far, I have "Harrison Bergeron" by Vonnegut and "Sales Pitch" by Philip K. Dick.
I am trying to find something a bit more modern. Preferably with corporations and advertising and them controlling every facet of our lives. Also, preferably on how our current world is starting to resemble a dystopia--social credit scoring, etc.
I'm probably thinking of something like a Black Mirror episode.
I am reading some short stories for our English I class unit on (of course) dystopias. So you will be blessing my students with good recommendations!
