 | 2 years ago I picked up 1,000 DVDs for $50. I wasn't sure the buy was legit until I saw the boxes full of movies. FB marketplace can have amazing deals. They advertised 700ish. Counted them when I got home and it was exactly 1,000. This photos is AFTER the 170ish we kept, the 50-60 we gave to friends/family and the 125 or so I tossed due to being too scratched for me to allow them to exist in this world. 2024.11.25 05:33 SarahAlicia I don’t understand why some shows don’t run on mondays
I get Monday has the least demand of any day from viewers but the demand isn’t 0. So if you are dark Tuesday and play on Monday and no other show does now 100% of demand for broadway theater on Monday goes to you. Yes demand is largely show specific but also so much of nyc is tourists /those visiting for business and some of them just pick based off what day is free in their itinerary that already has stuff in it. And even among locals like i’m really not much less likely to want to go see something after work on Monday vs Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. It just seems like economically it makes sense for most shows to be dark on Monday but for some shows to make Monday their niche.
I tagged this a complaint but really it’s just my own frustration at not understanding how this could possibly be the best economical model for all shows including ones struggling on the other days to sell tickets. Like idk just try it for 2 weeks before announcing your closing date what do you have to lose?

Hey everyone,
Just started up a guild in memory of my late brother. He absolutely loved this game and helping people out. He and I have run guilds, joined to help guilds progress, ran pugs, etc all to help other people get geared because we just loved playing the game. I would like to continue that legacy to honor him. The guild is located on Area 52 Alliance (don't ask how I landed up on this server, i dont even remember what brought him and i here. we have been on so many servers over the years). I enjoy raiding, running heroics/mythics, and pvp. I have no set plans to set a schedule. Hopefully we can have more than enough people and can "pug" within our own guild to run things. Will be looking into setting up a discord for people to hang out.
The only "official" rank in the guild will be Officers and this will just be to help run things, manage the bank, and keep drama down. The ranks below are just to easily advertise what your interests are as a baseline and will all have the same privileges.

I chose two films I thought would be really good to compare because they're so similar but now that I'm writing my script I'm realizing that even though they were released in 2004 and 2024, they were both set in the 90s in an extremely similar setting... so similar in fact that the geographical, historical, technological, political, and economical contexts are nearly identical, and the only one I can really compare is social.
If it helps with advice, the films I chose were Mysterious Skin (2004) and I Saw The TV Glow (2024).
What should I do? Should I change my second film (I want to keep Mysterious Skin), or should I go through with it anyways? There's some political and historical context details I can compare (specifically with the bit in Mysterious Skin where Neil is in NYC), but they feel really minor in comparison to social context, and I feel like I have too much comparing and not enough contrasting.
I am not asking for recommendations on what my second film should be.
