to preface this i'm sec 3 in combined science (sec 4 olevels next year). basically i lost my (2014-2023) science chemistry topical tys a few months ago and now i'm trying to buy a replacement but i genuinely can't find it ANYWHERE. every popular bookstore says that they don't have it because the new edition is coming out in january 2025. so how different is the 2014-2023 versus the 2015-2024 ?? like obviously the questions are different so then i'm screwed cuz my holiday hw applies to the version that came out this year and not next year's new one.
if anyone has the 2014-2023 science chemistry topical topical tys and is willing to sell it please totally say so cuz i'm DESPERATE ASF. or if yall know where i can buy it somehow?? genuinely panicked

We just moved to nyc and my kids are 9 and 5 and because they are tall they meet the criteria to be required to pay.
That said - when I board the bus they are waived in and I know his friend from school usually goes under the turnstile. Personally I would like to follow the norm - and it is really annoying, especially during high traffic times to have to use my Apple Pay on 3 different readers. Plus kids were free on the tube and generally in all of Europe.
So the question is - is the rule for paying like a speed limit - where the norm is to stretch the limit (pay when kids are teenagers and able to travel independently). Or is it a hard rule? What do most people do?

Some background: I usually work varying shift lengths and times for a job that has the potential to be stressful but tends to be on the calmer side. Being new to the field I definitely think I’m more stressed at making sure I’m doing everything right and staying competent/focused. Usually I end 90% of my shifts in a migraine, no matter the time or length of the shift. I’ve had 4 hour shifts that ended in worse migraines than a 12 hour shift and vice versa.
In the past I thought I could identify some obvious migraine triggers: stress, lack of caffeine and consumption of sugar alcohols. More recently I’ve talked to my PT and we played around with the idea that maybe I’m not eating enough throughout the day and the drop in my blood sugar could be triggering migraines. I have just recently been prescribed propranolol and a triptan but haven’t started using them yet. However, the last few shifts I worked I kept a few of those mini slim Jim’s in my pocket and ate them throughout the day alongside my regular meals. I had my regular pain (scoliosis) but no migraines, not even a headache after several long shifts!
I guess my question is has anyone experienced this? Is this likely connected to my blood sugar or is this just a really weird food hack (such as the McDonals migraine meals)?

My employer agreed to a 6 month pay review and during the review my manager stated if a condition was met by a specific point in time I would receive a pay review. This is recorded and the goal was met so I have evidence of it. A few months later during follow up I was told I would not be getting a payrise as I had one prior to that 6 month review.
I asked for this to be revisited as I since was allowed access to the recording and now have the evidence. It has been denied again and no response has been given to my query around my managers claims or the fact that they agreed to review my pay in writing. I have also not been given a clear answer and do not believe my review was passed on to the CFO as it should have been.
Do I have grounds for legal action and any advice in how to approach this?
