I'm totally new to cosplay and am looking to do a kind of knight's armor. (If it helps, I'm going for the angel in the album art for Symphony X's Paradise Lost; me and a few friends will be performing some songs off of it with a club on campus and I'd like to look the part). From what I've read, EVA foam is what is typically used to make armor like this. However, I live in a dorm, and I don't know if using a heat gun in there is a good idea. Any advice on how I should go about this? Are there any alternatives I should use?

Hi! Im currently on my exchange, and I have a question about chores. My current placement is a double placement with a single parent, the other exchange student and two very small children. ( I am in the process of changing families because there is not enough place for me and the other student, but we have not found a new family yet.)
For the first moths in the family we did not have a chore plan, or anything structured, and there was constant miscommunication about which chores we should do. ( the parent had expectations that were not clear to us) After many of these miscommunications i suggested a household plan that we could all make together and that way it would be clear who should do wwhat.
Now to the problem: The hostparent did the plan alone, and did not ask about our opinion or preference. I wont go into full detail, but here are my chores listed:
- Walking the dog min. 30 min 3-4x per week
- emptying the dishwasher and doing the dishes 2x per week
- warming the house 2-3x per week (making afire and bringing wood in)
- feeding the chickens everyday
- bringing the trash out 2x per week
- doing my own laundry
-occasionally cooking
- cleaning our own room etc. normal stuff
The problem i'm facing is I dont find the time to do all of this, and some of the chores require for me to come to the house really early. The days that she chose for me to do the chores are really not optimal for me, and if I am not home or the other exchange student, we have to fill for eachothers chores. This has been a problem especially for my hostsibling, because i'm out of the house a lot and come home usually around 19.00.
we have tried to bring up the issues but the hostparent just says to arrange the days better (so just switch choredays between us but not lessen anything) At home I did less chores but idk if this is a normal amount?

I have a big Knack for open world shooters like far cry and I missed having that feeling like you just want the next upgrade and next weapon and next mission and you are so immersed you get locked to the game
Im disabled currently so it's nice to have a good game to keep me busy and especially with my depression it's not easy for me to get jnto q game so much
It's truly an amazing game and woww i can't freaking wait to the moment ut gets polished like how cyberpunk did and i would be able to experience it better but i gave decent performance 120fps with most stuff on high and no upscaling and frame gen on Which for me doesn't give alot of latency as i get good fps without it and it doesn't provide a ton of frames since i lock it to 120fps but sadly im on 1080p which for a 27inch monitor looks shit but hey it's still good (i have a i513600 and 6900xt maybe a different cpu but can't remember rn and also 32gb ram)

I have been regularly « lucid dreaming » for years, I’d say about two or three times a week. I didn’t know what it was until someone told me around a year ago, so I’ve never /tried/ to lucid dream, it was already happening (even though I think it started when I got into the habit of writing down my dreams as I wake up, if anyone needs tips). But reading through forums and blogs is making me think I lucid dream in a different way, way less fun? So usually, the dream starts normally, and then something will make me realise that I am, in fact, dreaming : the first lucid dream I remember happened because I was talking to a friend who had the voice of someone else. It could be an object, a place that doesn’t look right, loved ones who don’t behave normally, supernatural situations that I know wouldn’t happen in real life, etc… So most of my lucid dreams make me feel weird, because I spend the rest of my dream noticing all incoherent things that are happening.
However, I can never control what happens in the dream, like a lot of people here seem to be able to do. I know that I am dreaming, and in scary dreams I am always trying to wake up, but I can’t make anything go away or appear, I’m basically « trapped » in the environment until I wake up. Sometimes it is legitimately scary : In the moment, I know I’m not technically in danger, but when the world is ending in my dream it is hard not to go and find shelter still, and usually I just sit somewhere and pray that I can wake up soon. I’m actually writing this because I just had a very uncomfortable lucid dream and I am left feeling weird and uneasy : I was having a normal -not lucid- dream, and then everyone in the room disappeared all at once, which made me realise I was dreaming. I then started to run around in different rooms, desperately trying to find someone, and ended up in my grandmother’s living room trying to look at myself in the mirror to wake myself up, but I was very distressed, crying and screaming that I hated when I was alone in my dreams. I just wish I was able to control my dreams when I know I’m dreaming, is anyone experiencing the same thing ?
