As many other Sporting fans and Portuguese football fans, I spent part of my afternoon yesterday watching Amorim's first game.
Goal at the beginning of the game pumped me to believe Amorim was just part of a fairy tale story (all these 2 weeks of soap opera, concluding with Amorim coming and winning right away), but oh boy, I was mistaken. After the goal, it was painful to watch this United.
Amorim said it right away - a key for this system is INTENSITY, and majority of the 11 that started yesterday have zero intensity.
- The CBs that played yesterday have no fitness nor intensity to play on back 3. Mazraoui was the best, and probably won the place - just not sure if he wouldn't be a better choice (for now) for LWB. Hoping that Leny Yoro and Lisandro can come in soon and take the places.
- None of your yesterday's CB has the quality to move on with the ball, gain field and make critical between-lines passes. Most of the CBs at Sporting have these skills (Coates, Inacio, De Bast, Diomande, even St. Juste when he is fit). I'm talking both connecting passes to the midfielders, but also to the 2 number 10 & striker.
- Eriksen and Casemiro can't just be it. Those 2 players are so important in Amorim's system for the stability of the team - both with and without ball. Ugarte has to start (assuming he didn't because of national team). I don't know Mainoo, but from what I heard, he should be the one playing as well. If not, you need urgently someone from the market in January for one of these positions.
- Your two midfielders have to be ruthless without the ball - always pressuring, two on top of the ball if needed. With a system like this, the CBs and the LWB/RWB will be there to help if needed. Intensity, intensity, intensity.
- One of the two "number 10s" has obviously to be Bruno. For the other place, Garnacho isn't fit enough for the needs of this position. He needs to work harder. I would see Dialo there. You need players calm on the ball, controlling, but at the same time also dynamic enough to appear between lines, and also take the ball across lines (see Pedro Gonçalves against Man City on our 2nd goal + see Trincão playing).
- Bruno is by far your best player, levels above all others. He is at his best at the position he started yesterday (playing the position of Pedro Gonçalves), but he could easily also handle the upper midfield position (playing the position of Morita/Bragança).
- Rashford scored, but he just isn't it. He is lazy without the ball, he doesn't pressure, he is not hungry. Hoping Holjmund can take that role, but he has a though job. Without proper midfield, his job gets harder as well.
Besides players - for me it's clear that Amorim is a guy that can turn Man United around. But he needs time. Not only time, but also players that believe in the system.
I understand it's early to take assumptions from the players on this system, since yesterday it was clear that majority of them didn't even know where to position themselves....
.... but one thing is positioning, understanding the game, skills, etc - other thing is having hunger, intensity and pride in playing for Manchester United. Majority of these players didn't have any of the three.

So this goes to the men and women out there…
I’ve been on the dating apps for 3 months. And after countless times swiping across multiple dating apps and getting a decent amount of matches with very unresponsive women except for maybe like 3 ladies that talked maybe a whole paragraph of text…. I’m now in a relationship with my Dream Girl from a dating app.
Quick background info so the men can compare, I’m slightly above the average height, muscular (not the type women like), and above average looking face. I purposely hid my job with an obscure title bc I’m a full-time content creator doing well for myself.
Most of the women I swiped on are above 7s and yes, I have my preferences and skipped over women that I didn’t find attractive. That’s important bc I’m sure they were nice responsive women, but I just wasn’t physically attracted to them.
What I find a common theme from the women is matching and not responding, or responding and barely talking. It’s like talking to a brick wall. I’m a great conversationalist and do very well face-to-face but OLD texting is stupid dumb with the lackluster conversations ladies.
So why am I saying this….Ladies please be more engaging with the men out there. There are a good amount of us that don’t lead with sexual advances when it’s not an appropriate time to do so. Some of us men have pleasant surprises about us if you ladies are more responsive in getting to know us.
You don’t have to show infatuated interest, but at least show you care who the man is when you’ve matched with them.
There are men out there that do well for themselves that vet women carefully bc we are actually interviewing you for a long-term relationship and not the other way around because of our finances.
An actual conversation with the men allows a man to determine what type of date he wants to take you on (I did a 3 for 1 date with my Dream Girl), whether you will be for the short-term vs long-term material, how compatible you both are, helps to reduce sex as the tertiary focus, and more.
What I assume, is that women want men to get a date going right away, but how the hell can we, if you can’t maintain a damn conversation?!
Also ladies, revisit some of your demands in your profiles. I’m sure it filters out many men, but the men that can afford that lifestyle you wish will put you in the short-term side category. I’m more than happy going 70-30 or even 90-10, but if I can sense that’s what you’re all about, I already know where to place you.
Now for the men….stop the inappropriate timing of sexual advances! They don’t work a great majority of the time. In fact, it takes practice, practice, practice perfecting the timing with sexual innuendos which usually is better done in person when reading body language. There are some outlier women out there, but it’s not many that will go for the cold opener sexual advance.
Also one thing I’ve noticed in a lot of photos for the men, you guys need a proper haircut with the bird nest hairdos I’ve seen. Men you need to take pictures with more subtle masculine angles and poses of yourself, proper lighting, and don’t have photos with you smirking. The smirking smile comes off as very feminine and lacking confidence.
Also go watch some YouTube videos on fashion to determine if you’re rakish, rugged, refined, urban, preppy, etc. There’s a style guru for every type of man out there.
And men, be persistent in practicing your communication skills. If you see a girl you like where you can send a thoughtful comment or something equivalent on her photo, then do it, as it increases your matching success. If you can master the art of communication, even if you don’t do well on dating apps, you will do well taking with a woman face-to-face. Learn body language and female cues and mannerisms as it can help you to think what to say next and keep the convo going.

Enfim, a grande questão é que a prova é no dia 7 de dezembro, ou seja, menos de duas semanas até lá, eu gostaria de tentar estudar até lá, porém gostaria de saber se realmente vale a pena tentar estudar por um período tão curto. Caso sim, como eu poderia organizar isso? A prova tem 50 questões divididas entre linguagens, códigos e suas tecnologias, matemática e suas tecnologias, ciências da natureza e suas tecnologias, ciências humanas e suas tecnologias. Não achei provas antigas e nem faço ideia de como é a prova, mas caso alguém já tenha feito, eu estou falando do Sigma, mais especificamente de Londrina.
Obs: acho que não sou um completo imbecil em relação a estudos e conhecimento. Esse ano fiz o ENEM como treineiro e consegui fazer 75/90 e fiz o vestibular da UEL também como treineiro, acertando 43/60. Isso sem ter estudado quase nada por fora além do que estudo para a escola, então queria saber se realmente vale a pena meter o louco e estudar durante esse tempo, se eu conseguiria aproveitar de alguma forma.

So this friend, lets call him james, had another friend, lets call her sarah, james and sarah were very close and touchy the first half of the year, then, sarah limits communication between james, and stops the touchyness, after about a month or two, this stops happening, yesterday sarah and james platonically went out togheter for the day and sarah told james that I told sarah that, "James dosnt like it when you touch him", "James dosnt like talking to you" and more things. This is absolutely wrong, as me and james were very VERY close, and even thou i have disliked sarah from the start, i would never do that. James told me to say sorry and i said no, as i didnt do any of those (which i didn't) and then stoped being friends with me. i've known james for a year, sarah for halbe that, and sarah has caused nothing but trouble for the time i've known her, she's an asshole to some of my friends, and james, who likes sarah, always takes her side. I apologised and he said "Too late, should'a done it while we were friends" and now refuses to talk to me.
Do you guys have anything that will get us back together, or anything to help resolve the situation?

Hello friends,
I am currently starting to develop a new campaign for my group. The basic idea is that the PCs are demon hunters and they are sent to investigate the outbreak of a new sinister disease. He has found an old planar rift near a settlement. His ultimate goal is to expand this rift into a full portal between the Abyss and the Material Plane. This plague is his tool to spread corruption among mortals. A mortal in this city was corrupted and the plague started to develop, he recognised its demonic source and tried to find help among the city priests of good dieties, they failed to help him so in despicable manner he summoned a devil to contract his soul for a cure. He will end up in Nine Hells rather than the Abyss. This man will develop into a devil contractor or devil himself. He will help the players with information and help, but at a price. The party will be between these forces, trying to seal the Rift, and in the end they will find that help from the devil is needed, as they will only arrive in the Rift after the demon lord has finally managed to open a portal.
I have an idea that this campaign will start with real life letter from me. But it will be written by the devil behind the contractor. He will invite them into this game with charming word of flatery and give them glimpse into grandiose story they can play. Just a little drop of blood as payment for future greatness in this story.
Between sessions, players will also receive letters based on what happened to the devil. This should help with hints and hooks for the game.
So...I have some questions.
- Based on this idea, are there similar campaigns already written?
- What sources would you recommend me to study?
- Would you like to play it?
