I swear that before episode 7, if you, even so, entertained the idea of Jinx and Ekko ending up together, this sub would crucify you. Now, however, the ship is nearing the level of CaitVi. I can't tell if it's a testament to how good the writing was or if people had to see it to be convinced, but I'm shocked at how quickly the consensus shifted toward loving it. Even before 2 ep 7, the bridge scene made me convinced that it was going to happen. Romance in stories is often at its most effective when it's used to heighten the tragedy of two characters falling out; CaitVi is a great example of this. The fact they were in love made it all the more heartbreaking when they split up. A large part of Ekko's role in the series is being one of the few characters who still believes in Jinx and subsequently being punished for it (the bridge scene, her episode 9 su*c*de attempt). While this predicament is already tragic, giving them feelings for each other makes it more tragic. This isn't to say that two characters have to be in love to emotionally hurt the audience (Victor and Jayce are a good example of this), but with Ekko and Jinx, their relationship just made sense (it was foreshadowed in the game). Did your feelings about the ship change? if so, why/why not?

We make a big fuss about the mechanics and terminology of throws, but ultimately what matters is the result. Get the opponent down first, worry about the name later.
Thus more often than not, throws blur with one another. So I am wondering which ones blur together most and in what sort of sets.
Harai Goshi, Ashi Guruma, O Guruma and perhaps crossbody O-soto Gari for instance seem to blend. Tai Otoshi might even fit here too. An argument I had here in another thread has even led me to think that perhaps that O-goshi, Koshi Guruma and Uki Goshi can exists in this particular spectrum too.
Hane Goshi and Uchi Mata seem to blur, with some going as far as to say there is no Hane Goshi and that the far leg thing is just a way to train Uchi Mata.
Are there any other examples of Throw Spectrums like this?

I've had a cue for years and have the odd game I'm the club with my dad, if any of us potted a red and a black that would more than likely be the Highest break of the game.
A few months ago a room became available at work, I looked on Facebook and there was lots of snooker tables available very cheap. I had to collect it myself which is a story in itself, somehow me and a friend took the table down, brought it to my room up 2 flights of stairs and set it back up. I've since had a table fitter in to cloth and level it properly.
For the last 4/5 months I've been seeing a snooker coach and practicing. The improvement has been huge, but I didn't realise how hard the game would be to get good at. I'm still an absolute novice at the game but I've started documenting my progress. I decided to film practice routines and upload them to YouTube, the idea being that I will be able to look back at the practice in the future and hopefully be able to see the improvements. I've been uploading for a couple of weeks and a few people have been watching and helping with advice. I've really appreciated that.
There is so many people actually good at this game, I want to be able to hold my own at some point in the future against them. I'm not expecting it to be easy or quick, but I'm determined to make sure I succeed.
How possible is it that I'll be able to get to a point where I hit a 100 break in a game in a year? That right now sounds crazy, but by next Christmas I want to make that happen.
Any advice would be great, from both a snooker side, or if you have any knowledge on YouTube, I'm a beginner at both 😂

2024.11.25 09:39 SumeLaMarciana 15 male cat with mammary tumour - unsure what to do next

My almost 16 year old male cat has a mammary tumour (likely aggressive).
He was scheduled for surgery after his CT scan but the surgeon was concerned about performing the surgery because the tumour was too close to muscle/abdominal lining so decided not to go ahead.
The vets have now given me the option of going to an oncologist or have said they can continue to monitor him until he gets more unwell (they said he only has about 4 months+ left because this type of tumour tends to be aggressive).
I'm really struggling to decide what is the best option for my cat. Part of me wants to take him to the oncologist, but it's an hour away and I don't want him to be even more stressed (poor boy hasn't been himself because he's had to wear a cone for about a month to stop him reopening the lesion on his abdomen). Considering the distance and potential chemo, I don't want his last few months to be stressful for him even if it means I get to spend more time with him.
The other option is to let him live his life as normal at home until he succumbs to the cancer which is a really difficult thought because I feel like I haven't done enough even though this is not curable.
If anyone has had any personal experiences dealing with a cat with cancer, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
