Lately, I’ve been feeling stuck and unmotivated. Social media, endless notifications, and constant overstimulation were draining my energy before I even started working. I knew I had goals I wanted to achieve, but it was hard to focus or feel motivated when my mind was constantly distracted.
I decided to make some changes. My motivation came from realizing how much better I feel when I actually make progress on the things that matter to me. To get there, I turned off notifications for unimportant apps and started leaving my phone in another room while I worked. I have also been using a timer, setting it for 50 minutes of focused work and then taking a short break. It is a simple system, but it is helping me stay on track.
During breaks, I have stopped scrolling and started doing things that refresh me, like stretching or stepping outside. These little changes are helping me cut out overstimulation and stay connected to what really matters, my goals and the satisfaction of making progress every day.

I'm hoping somebody can help me understand this code a little better, it's from an online tutorial I am following:
The answer is 6 but I'm strugging to understand why.
The variabled BEFORE hitting "LINE 5" are as follows:
result = 5
a = 1
b = 0
Then we hit LINE 5. My way of thinking is ok lets work out what's between the brackets
(0 / 1) = 0
then work out the first part and since the variable 'a' was decremented it should now be 0
result += 0 + 0;
result should equal 5 but it's actually 6. Where am I wrong in my understanding?

I remember this one well, It happened the day after "The thief who got cold feet" story. It was one day before our national day, and I was at work at the grocery store, and this was some years ago.
I was working late/closing shift (4pm to 11pm). The store closes at 11pm. Around 10:50pm, a lady with a typical Karen haircut and purple hair color walks into the store and grabs a shopping cart, and walks into the opposite end of the store with meat fridges and freezers.
I start the closing routines and don't think much of it. The time hits 11, I've finished my routines and the lady is still standing there in the same exact spot. I go to her to tell her the store is closed, but before I get a single word in she says:
"I know, the store is closed, I know you want to go home, I've worked in a store before you know" I kinda just responded with "mhm? Are you loo-" "Listen, I've worked in a store before! You ALWAYS let the customer finish shopping" and then she started rambling incomprehensively.
The time hits 23:05, she FINALLY starts moving, but was swerving between the freezers, not grabbing anything. On the way to the cash registers, she suddenly takes a sharp right turn to look at something. The entire time she is rambling to me about something, I was spacing out and just following her to make sure she leaves.
Finally, at 23:12, she makes it to the register and my colleague scans her items. Then she realizes she forgot something and is about to go grab it, but before she does I say "I'll go grab it for you", which I did.
I return with the item and my colleague scans it through. Then she asks about cigarettes (the store uses an electronic safe that you pay for a ticket you scan and then the item drops like a vending machine). While tapping the screen in front of the register. My colleague explains that whatever cigarettes she wanted we were out of. She scoffs and proceeds to look for her wallet in her purse.
After rummaging for what felt like forever, she finds the wallet, pays and packs her stuff in a bag and heads for the exit. I follow her to lock the door. She notices some national day flower bouquets by the exit and is about to stop to look at them, when she probably noticed me rolling my eyes, and she left.
The time was now around 11:23, and my colleague still needed to finish counting the till. The entire time from when I first walked up to the lady and until she left, she was rambling about stores and how she worked in one and "I know how it is" and stuff. Lady, if you know then please leave so I can go home!

English is not my first language so please bare with me.
I am experiencing difficulties with my studies at TAFE because one of my lecturers has failed me and told me to re-enrol. Every one of us has failed both the 1st and 2nd submission. I understand that there is feedback that is given BUT the feedback given to us is hard to work with because the thing she gives is a question mark, a check and or marked wrong. Should I take it up to someone who is higher or just suck it up and re-enrol to her unit again? It’s just not us stage 1 but stage 2 and previous class from diploma as well have a lot to complain about and it doesn’t help that she is our next terms group coordinator. I even asked the Stage 2 student from my placement if she has any negative experience with her and she was positive that if she ever fails a unit it is because of her due to being so difficult and nitpicking the most smallest items that are seemingly insignificant that turns into a big deal. I got 6 questions wrong and she doesn’t want me to do verbal and just straight up said “re-enrol”
