2024.11.25 10:16 thx-1183 How much can I put in my SIPP from my Ltd if I'm not working?
I'm about to stop work at age 50. I won't have a salary or any income, I'll be living off personal savings until pension age.
I know I can put £2,880 into a pension (and have it topped up with tax relief) even if I have no salary.
But I also have a Limited Company. I get a few small bits of work, probably no more than £5k per year.
So I think I have two questions.
If I'm not taking a salary from the Ltd, can I still put that £5k into my SIPP?
Can I invest £60k of my savings into my Ltd and then have the Ltd pay into my SIPP?
(The SIPP is already set up and I've paid in from it in previous years)

2024.11.25 10:15 Helios442 Amp for Sourcepoint 8 (and sub?)
Hi! I have bought sourcepoint 8 speakers. Was considering pairing them up with my old Tandberg TR 2060, but thinking they might not reach their full potential. I will be using these for music, but also home cinema (just stereo though).
I was recommended the NAD C3050. I think it looks good, but wondering if there are cheaper and/or better alternatives. It would also be great to have a streamer integrated - so I was also wondering if the NAD C700 V2 would power these?
The best would be if I found something used, but I don't know what I should search for.
I have a Dali sub C-8 D. Wondering if I over time should upgrade to a bigger sub? Or if it would be better to just add another Dali C-8 to have two.

Hey everybody,
My DO is absolutely rubbish and I've sent multiple emails to the writer trying to get my termination sorted and had no response so I'm looking for reddit to help me with the leaving process.
I've got my CO letter saying my termination is in 3 weeks and I should start the process of leaving before going terminal leave. I just had a few questions because no one has helped me thus far.
- What do I need to sort out at the UPO?
- What kit do I need to return? Currently don't drive and in Excellent and I've been told to return my stuff to Nelson. Don't fancy a long work with everything if I don't need to.
- I'm in date for dental and medical do I need another?
- Any extra things I need to get sorted? Basically don't want to be bothered whilst on terminal leave and sort everything out in one.

i’m planning to get mine either from Japan or Amazon (not much price difference) and i would like to know your thoughts on cousin (a5) and original (a6). i currently have a 2025 non hobonichi planner waiting for me but i feel that hobonichi planners allow me to use my creativity juices more since it’s a plain template. not interested in weekly as it seems too small for me 😅 what do you think are the pros and cons of the one you are using (cousin or original)? will you continue with what you are using? even better if you have used both cousin and original before!

Don’t numb yourself down to see all these are common and normal
They are not.
In Bangalore who are responsible for all this ? Shame on them
Indians lack civil sense but atleast who is responsible to keep city clean
How many decades will it take to have someone well educated and who are in higher conciousness to come in power ?

tl;dr: Keyboard like mx key s but without logitech (I love the mechanical ascpect of the mx keys (perfect for me), just the software is ABSOLUT trash (application and mx keys drivers))
Here is a list of my Software issues:
- software is uggly and not intuitive
- it laggs bad (I write code and documentation on a daily basis)
- it disconnects all the time (bluetooth and dongle)
- switch bluetooth/dongle
- use keyboard plugged in (always power)
- install garbage Logitech software (and newest firmware/drivers)
I use windows and linux

I’ve been focused on financial literacy for most of my adult life, starting to save and invest a portion of my income steadily since my early 20s. At 39, I’m in a comfortable position - not “rich” by any means - but steadily on track to reach financial independence by my 50s if things continue as they are.
I didn’t get here through anything extraordinary - no windfalls or lucky trades - just consistent saving and investment, living within my means, and sticking to simple investment strategies, even when my income was much lower. Recently, I’ve noticed a shift where my assets and investments are growing more rapidly, and around 20% of my income this year has come from those investments.
This has been a strange experience to process. For much of my life, I’ve felt like I had less disposable income than many of the people around me because I was prioritizing saving. But now, I find myself earning more from investments and growth than I would have ever expected. It’s humbling to realize that even if I stopped investing, my portfolio would likely continue growing at a pace that feels almost surreal compared to starting fresh today.
Many of my friends are experiencing the opposite, ever increasing debt, cost of living spiralling and significant stress. My wife was able to quit her job and home school our Son, that felt like a massive reward for all the discipline - seeing him thrive and her not have to juggle responsibilities.
Hope this doesn’t come across as arrogant or showing off - just hoping some people can relate because I definitely can’t talk to anyone I know about this.

Problem namin LOS (Loss of Signal) yung router prior to reporting it to them triny namin mag troubleshoot, tried everything nakailan check at saksak ng fiber optic cable, LOS pa rin, direktang sinaksak yung kumukonecta dun sa fiber optic cable, Idk what it’s called pero yung maliit na puting box, still LOS. Dumating yung repair team, tatlo sila, they did everything they can, chineck sa labas, pinalitan mga cable, pero hindi pa rin nila mahanap yung problem, hangga’t sa umalis na lang sila and walang sinabi if babalik pa sila, pero checking dito sa globe one app, wala na yung request ko to repair, idk if sila mismo nag clear ng request, pero ongoing repair yun kanina. Correct me if ganun talaga or sila mismo nag clear nung request.
