I'm using the most recent version of Thunderbird and recently I'm having an inordinate amount of issues with viewing .PDF attachments. They show attached to the email in the viewing pane but when I double click them to view the .PDF, when the tab opens, there is nothing to see. These emails are from reliable senders (usually bills) but the .PDF does not appear. It's not in all cases but more than I would expect. Is this a known issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have an ubpd ex that live at my apartment at the moment. We broke up a little over a month ago, and since she struggles with finances, I let her live there for free while I lived at my brothers place for a month. I meet her 2 days ago, and we left on good terms after talking about future short term plans.
The plan was she would try to find a place with one of her friend that also was going to find a place. The problem is her friend doesn't need a place before january. So I agreed to let her stay untill january and I would help her moving when that times come. This is thing I agreed to because I thought we had a good term.
Today she asked for money too move out. Not in a "I appriciate if" kind away, but more as "If you want me to move out fast" kinda way. I felt anger and that she was demanding money. Also playing with arguments such as "You want to move on fast right?". "I need the money because I sold my stuff, when i moved in".
Sorry for my rant,

2024.11.25 12:38 Beautifly Okay, I know ‘which park is best’ gets asked a lot. But if you had a choice between doing Disney in Japan or doing Disney in Florida (all parks included), which would you recommend?
Planning a big trip and want to hear from people who have done both. I did Florida as a kid, and it was completely magical, as expected. As an adult now, I would love to visit Japan anyway, and I’ve heard such great things about DisneySea, but we will be taking our children (aged about 6 & 8 at the time of travel). Do you think they’ll get as much enjoyment out of the Japan parks as they would at Disney World? Bearing in mind this will obviously be an expensive trip that we can only do once, would it make more sense to go to Florida with the multiple parks? I’m really torn.

About 15-20 years ago a friend of mine at work brought in a black ps with a screen on it. It had hundreds of games listed on it that you could play. He said a friend gave it to him or something like that I don’t really remember how he got it. This was way before it was “normal” to have digitally downloaded games.
I knew about the new development kits that were just released at the time but this guy had no idea what it even was. Just brought it in to show me because he thought it was cool. Lately I’ve been wondering if he still has it and maybe would sell it. What would something like that be worth?

2024.11.25 12:38 Ok_Debate_7076 Anyone out there who is a a few years into recovery from a multi ligament knee injury/Knee dislocation (tibiofemoral) and has made a return to sport? Please only people who are further down the road. Can't find anyone on here who isn't a handful of months post op.
I dislocated my knee and torn MCL, PCL and ACL. I work as a stuntman and I am really hoping to get back to doing what I was doing before. The surgeon has said if I was trying to return to playing sports such as soccerugby then he couldn't ever give me the go ahead to play again. He cant obviously say outright that I cant go back to doing stunts because he doesn't know exactly what the job entails as it changes from job to job.
I'm based in the UK so I had an NHS surgeon who's major priority would be my health, not getting me back playing as it might have been with a private surgeon.
Has anyone else with multi ligament injuries/ dislocations returned to sports such a socce rugby? And what have peoples surgeons told them in terms of doing so safely?
