As a hunter that hunts a variety of animals I have myself a 308Win chambered rifle which is the best middle ground for what I hunt. I have paired it with an 3-15x50 scope and it felt great, I was able to hit my long shots fairly easily. But. I went wild boar hunting a month ago and I felt that the scope was bugging me down. It was a bit heavy for fast paced game (which wild boar hunting in Europe definitely is), and the 3x was just a tad bit too much zoom for fast and close engagement. That was the day I realised I wanted to get myself a red dot sight. Red dot sights are often not very respected or loved feature among the community, but for my need I definitely wanted a sight, but needed something with wide field of view and low weight. Once I started my long search and countless of hours of Youtube video watching about hundreds of different sights, I opted for CVLife JackalHowl Red Dot.

The reviews of that scope were all positive, it ticked all my boxes and added me some nice features that I didn't know I wanted.
One of them was the shake awake, that is a technology (at least to my understanding) that has motion sensors which sense when I lift or engage my rifle and it automatically somehow turns on the red dot, and turns it off after a few minutes of inactivity (I think it's 3-4 minutes, but I could time it correctly if someone wants to know that information). And they say that it can achieve 50,000 hours of battery life. I haven't tested that yet, and I don't think I can even test that š.
The sight has a 2 MOA red illuminated dot, and features 10 brightness levels. 2 of them being Night Vision levels and 8 regular levels. I usually just run it on setting 6 or 7, which is completely alright for bright day and not overpowering in morning light.

The scope is also waterproof and 1000G shockproof, but that was also the basic minimum that all my scopes must have. The glass was clear with no faults or any deformations or unwanted light transfers.
I really liked that it came with 2 mounts of different sizes. Preinstalled was a higher profile mount and in the box I received a low profile mount that I used and can be seen in the pictures down below. I just like the flush mount for my rifle configuration, but I like that they give you an option to choose.

Since this is my first red dot sight, the things I noticed when in comparison to regular high powered optic is that the red dot is much easier to set up on the rifle, has wider FOV and not needing to have the correct eye relief was something that I really liked. 2MOA dot is perfect for my uses since I'll be shooting at wild boar on distances from around 20-80 meters probably, with a few longer flankers.

I'm using the most recent version of Thunderbird and recently I'm having an inordinate amount of issues with viewing .PDF attachments. They show attached to the email in the viewing pane but when I double click them to view the .PDF, when the tab opens, there is nothing to see. These emails are from reliable senders (usually bills) but the .PDF does not appear. It's not in all cases but more than I would expect. Is this a known issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
