I'm about six months into truly accepting my curly hair and am loving it! My only challenge is I'm a swimmer and so my hair gets wet every morning (not even the best swim cap keeps hair dry). I know that a lot of threads about this already exist but I am struggling to find one that helps for my specific situation. Basically my in laws are buying a house for my fiancé and I. This is our first home. We close in a few days. The home was around 600k, parents paying all cash. They are planning on wiring the money to the sellers and signing it over to us at closing. The plan is to do a land contract kind of situation. The parents don’t need the money back, they did this just because it would help us out and save money, plus an all cash offer made our offer very competitive and ultimately was what allowed us to get the house over other potential buyers. I just want to make sure that this is done correctly to avoid any unforeseen taxes in the future and doesn’t impact inheritance or anything.
Things to note/tl;dr: - as mentioned above the parents are buying the house and signing it over to us at closing so we will be the ones who officially own the house - we are planning on doing a “land contract” where we “pay them back” plus some amount of interest (I think we have to have it be an AFR of somewhere like 4.2% right now as of Nov 2024?) - we can afford to pay them back (just not all at once, we will have a combined yearly income of around 180k after taxes) - parents don’t technically need a penny from us back. There’s no situation where they would ever need it back. - yes, I know what gift tax is, that will be maxed out no matter how you try to calculate the numbers, unfortunately a lot of money will be taxed at 40% eventually… - we have a prenup, tax people, lawyers, all that but I don’t come from as much money and I just want to understand that this is the right way to do things. They are very generous people and have the stance that “if we have to pay taxes that’s okay because you will still have more than you need to live a comfortable life” but I would rather gift money to someone that isn’t the government if that makes sense. - I trust my in-laws and this will never be held over our heads or anything. No family drama will ensue. If we lose our jobs we can skip a few months payments without an issue (of course we have savings but just hypothetically). - could part of the loan be “forgiven” over time? I know we can refinance and get a lower interest rate eventually if market drops. Is there any way for the money we pay them to ultimately make it back to us (ideally tax free)? Any tips or tricks?

So I reinstalled OBS because it was taking at at least 50MB on a 5 second video.
So After I reinstalled everything, and I didn't do anything to the settings. I recorded a Video of cutscenes in Roblox and It was a 18 Second video and it took up at least 80.6MB of storage.
Can anyone help how to fix?

I debated whether to post this, but in the end I thought other jurisdictions may benefit from the our experience, which went quite smoothly. I won't be providing any information about the brother, or his transition, only how we handled the request.
The application was made earlier this year and the brother was upfront about what was happening right from the start. He had a sponsor and a good knowledge of who the masons are and what we do. He also ticked the boxes for age, belief in God, and such.
The master the secretary and the sponsor knew about the situation, but the rest of the brothers did not and still do not. Our Grand Lodge also does not have a policy about this one way or the other, so an email was sent to the Grand Secretary informing him of the situation and asking for a policy. A copy of the Grand Lodge of England's policy was attached to the request. They were informed of the upcoming date of the vote in the lodge, but we did not hear back from them at all. Either they did not want to get involved or more likely did not know what to do.
The candidate attended one of our gatherings to meet the brothers and quite a number of them signed his petition. After that the vote was unanimous and the new brother started through the degrees.
I am really proud of my brothers. Everyone that knew the full situation was really supportive, and the new brother has been eager and is interested in Junior steward next year. I really hope this helps if you run into any similar situations. It is a brave new world out there.
