So I was fingerprinted over a month ago. On the application page it says I'm on a pre-hire list as an RCA. My impression is I'm there until I complete orientation (?) Or maybe some exam?
I am on medical hold for mental issues that are under enough control that I can and want to deliver mail. It took me a week to submit the paperwork, they confirmed it was accepted. That was over 3 weeks ago.
I learned from calling around that orientation was last Thursday, and I wasn't on the list at the branch I'd work out of, nor the hiring offices list for orientation...they said to just watch my inbox. Okay.
However I checked for more jobs in the area on the website, in case I could get something sooner based on demand, and...the SAME branch had a new ad up for the job I was offered!!
I'm so worried that I've been passed over because I was honest. FML. I'm looking for other jobs but a mail carrier job would really be the best thing for me right now.
Does anyone have insight or guesses into what happened? I'm so fucking sad about it. Trying to be hopeful.

2024.11.25 15:39 ThrowRAfamilydrama34 Solidcore as only workout?
I have done sporadic SolidCore classes over the years and have recently started doing a lot more because my work pays for a ClassPass membership. On my own, I pay for a boxing gym membership that also offers strength training and Pilates-style classes in addition to the boxing. As I’ve started doing more SolidCore, I’ve had a noticeable increase in toning and honestly I just love the classes, so I’m considering swapping my memberships and getting an unlimited SolidCore membership, while using my ClassPass for the occasional boxing class.
My question for you all is, do you find SolidCore to be “enough” if you use it as your primary workout method? I am not in a place where I really need to lose weight, but I am doing what one would call “cardio” through my boxing classes 3-4 times a week, so I’m slightly worried that switching to SolidCore would cause me to gain weight with the loss of the cardio. I am not a naturally slender person, I have to watch what I eat and exercise to maintain that build, so that’s worth noting.
I do know that SolidCore also had cardio components, so I guess I’m just asking if people have found that it is well-rounded enough to be your main workout? With the unlimited membership being $300/month in my area, I really don’t want to pay for another membership to a different gym to add in other workouts, but just wondering if it’s feasible!

Where they finally form my eclectic cloth of thoughts and experiences that I sometimes wish were not so in the ways that they happened but are now part of the tapestry of my many choices and regrets.
I can only hope there exists among the fabric of my reality within all its splendid designs of interwoven threads, a single line of silk or cotton string I can reach out and pull upon to unravel this horrible dream of mine and rearrange this vision of cloth again.
Alas, however untangling a tapestry of such tightly woven moments is sadly not like pulling on a line of cotton thread and is perhaps more like erasing thin lines from ink and pen.
In my somber retrospection I now realize, I will only ever be able to reflect upon that which my mind can create and never really change the delicate intricate woven needlework that sews together the patchwork of my life.
