So I work for a small contractor in NY and recently he has been getting in my nerves for the small stuff.
First of all I had to leave early for work to deal with a few things that I can’t do after hours, 2.5 hours early. So I asked a week before and he said yes, as I was leaving early he told me, just so you know your not getting paid for these next few hours. I said sure not an issue, but in the back of my mind, as a salary guy it’s give and take, if I give you 9 hours a few days, I expect to get paid the day I leave a little early.
Second, in the past we never had the day after thanksgiving off, so I took a PTO day this year, so did 1/2 the company. So now he declared it a day off regardless, but the people who took pto wont get their day back. I’m seeing it as a real to lose some pto days on his end.
Along with a few other times he’s done similar.
I am really considering confronting him about this stuff because I’m really tired of the jobs he’s always throwing. ( I don’t need the job)

Non torno a casa in pausa pranzo, contando la strada questo si traduce in 10:30h fuori casa. Un pò tanto per una persona che si mantiene da sola e che ha altri progetti oltre il lavoro. Chiesi di poter ridurre la pausa per uscire prima, stesse ore ma molto più comode. Per un periodo lo feci, poi smisi perchè il mio collega faceva battute scomode con altri responsabili fatto che uscissi prima. "Gli è caduta la penna", "Stava contando i secondi" e tante altre super divertenti. Negli anni la situzione si è ribaltata, sono passato a ricoprire una posizione di responsabilità maggiore che richiede che resti fino alla chiusura, al contrario il simpaticone ha iniziato a uscire prima come facevo io. Ci siamo scambiati, non è successo nulla.
Non ho peli sulla lingua e dopo avergli fatto notare la cosa mi ha riso in faccia, senza nemmeno scusarsi. Ora che posso mi sto vendicando gliele sto facendo pagare tutte, e mi chiedo: è giusto cosi? Sarò io lo stronzo? Avrei voluto un rapporto collaborativo più solido ma giungo alla conclusione che questa persona si meriti di essere ripagata con la stessa moneta. Non mi sento in colpa
