Hey everyone,
I’m running a dual PC setup and facing a frustrating audio delay issue. Here’s the situation:
- I have a 4K Pro installed on my Streaming PC, and I’m capturing the screen+audio on my streaming PC from Gaming pc Screen.
- There’s always a 1-2 second audio delay when recording or streaming anything on the streaming PC.
- I’ve set both PCs to 16-bit 48kHz for playback and recording settings.
- I’ve reinstalled all drivers, checked configurations multiple times, and even tried unplugging and re-plugging everything, but the issue persists.

A lot of people believe that sending F-16s to Ukraine will have a major impact on the Russia-Ukraine war. I don’t buy it. So, what’s the next step? I think the U.S. should deploy a significant number of F-35s to assist Ukraine in the fight.
Would this fundamentally turn the tide of the war? No. Could these F-35s be shot down or destroyed on the ground? If enough are deployed and used actively in combat, the answer is almost certainly yes, and the losses might not be small. It’s not just about Russia targeting airfields—there’s also the possibility that China might get more interested and send military or technical advisors to help. Would losing F-35s mean that some of its technologies could fall into the hands of Russia or China? And would it damage the U.S.’s reputation and morale among its allies? Of course. So why do I still advocate for deploying F-35s in large numbers to the battlefield in Ukraine? Here are a few reasons:
- Demonstrating strategic resolve. The U.S. currently has a major issue: its resolve for military conflict is too weak, and its adversaries know it. This is a problem even bigger than the shortcomings in its combat readiness or defense industry. If the U.S. doesn’t address its lack of will to fight, it will remain passive in any military engagement. Deploying F-35s and being willing to accept heavy losses is a way to partially rebuild that fighting spirit. Knowing the risks but still stepping up is a form of courage. Yes, this sounds a bit extreme, but as they say, sometimes you need to overcorrect to fix the problem.
- Laying the groundwork for an eventual exit. Once significant losses of F-35s occur, it will give the U.S. more justification to begin pulling back from Ukraine. If even deploying F-35s couldn’t save Ukraine, the next step would be ground troops or nuclear weapons—something even the most hardcore neoconservatives would struggle to justify.
- Forcing the U.S. military to acknowledge China’s strength. Heavy losses of F-35s will push the U.S. military to face the reality of China’s growing military power. It will make it harder for self-deceptive reports to be published in the future. And when it comes to formulating strategies against China, the U.S. will likely be more cautious and rational.
- Waking up the U.S. defense industry. Losing F-35s would serve as a wake-up call for America’s defense industry, forcing it to stop stagnating and start innovating. It might even prompt serious reforms in the defense sector, pushing it to step up with greater determination.

So my nerdy ass loves "A Glorious Dawn" a single released for what would have been Carl's 75th birthday. According to Wikipedia, A Glorious Dawn is the first installment in a series by electronic musician John Boswell called the "Symphony of Science". The project seeks to "spread scientific knowledge and philosophy through musical remixes." Boswell uses pitch-corrected audio and video samples from television programs featuring popular educators and scientists. The audio and video clips are mixed into digital mashups and scored with Boswell's original compositions. This is the first record to ever be played in space, and the B side has etchings replicating the diagrams on the Voyager Record. TLDR; my bfs mom abruptly adopted a baby and I am struggling to process.
Mostly just to get this off my chest and rant but please be nice if you have any offers of advice or encouragement I know my feelings are selfish.i hate I feel this way.
My bf and I just started new jobs and moved apartments. I had some time before my job started and I had a long car ride back home with my bfs mom and long heartfelt conversations about our futures. I've always felt very close to his mom. Then i went out west for a week to visit a friend before my job started. Once I was back home my boyfriend called me and told me his mom just adopted a baby. Like a 1-week old. Apparently a distant family member who him or his mom have never met called her up and asked them to help raise her daughters baby since she was unfit to care for him. The birth mother had no prenatal car and had done every type of drug for the duration of the pregnancy. My bf didn't want to talk about it so I was sort of left to think on my own. He wasn't happy but she was apparently going through with it.
They had only three days to decide if they were going through with it from the initial call. The next time I brought it up my boyfriend was fully on board and supportive. So the next time I visited my bfs mom she has a full on infant and is now staying home to care for him.
Most people have been estatic about the adoption. I know it's been stressful to think about for my bf but he refuses to discuss it and when I bring it up to talk about for myself he says something like "it's happening so we have no choice but to accept it" and won't really discuss it with me.
It's been a struggle honestly to process the news. We've been around them a little bit since then and I just have felt all the emotions about the situation.
On one hand I'm glad they are in a place and there are people out there to help raise a baby that needs a home. On the other I am selfishly a little sad for the future of our life and the impact this will have on our family when we start having kids of our soon. I know it's selfish to think like that but it's on my mind no less. My bfs mom has also been notoriously impulsive in her decisions and this one feels almost too impulsive since it's an actual life. He will have a great life with her and her husband no doubt but I also just question their age and financial capacity to care for him long term into adulthood. Brot of them work non typical jobs and have little in terms of retirement savings and are both in their mid 50s with major life expenses in the form of an expensive new house, new cars and and vacations. (A concern I've had for years no less) I worry my bf (and myself) will eventually end up having to care for him. I know this sounds so horrible to say but I have been immensely struggling with the transition. So many things about the situation that are evolving.
My biggest concern now is that the birth mother is being uncooperative in the adoption process despite having no legal rights to the child anymore and wants money. It is likely going t o involve ongoing legal issuses and Her and the entire extended family know where the baby lives and know their businesses and I fear for the safety of my bf and his moms family. The baby has another two half siblings that live somewhere else as they were also unfit at the time of their births.
So yes, I know at the end of the day I have no choice but to accept it. It's just been a hard thing to process alone.

I really don’t understand it’s application. For example: WIP time is 18 days 18/2=9 We then make 3 “regions” of our buffer. 3 for red, yellow, green. But why then I monitor these 3 days time intervals when the actual WIP time is 18 days?
